And it took me about six months. Really. **Speaker 4** And every day. And in the scriptures they say a wise person could identify something in the root structure. **Speaker 4** and then they could take a stake, like a spike, and then they could just turn the spike into one of the roots **Speaker 4** so it would cut off the large multiple tree, and then they'd like a mother to stop now and put them in front of itself. **Speaker 4** And that's the maybe nama. Maybe nama means to pierce a crucial point and get your design results much more easily. **Speaker 4** So the idea is that the Maha Beda, the meaning of the word object is to work on a crucial point in the body. **Speaker 4** And the crucial point is the Muradana chakra in the groin, wearing a two-legs of meat. **Speaker 4** And what we are trying to do in this pose is to jar the Muradana chakra. **Speaker 4** I try to like, smash. You **Speaker 4** Can I take a photo? **Speaker 4** Do you **Speaker 4** So you'll feel it if you do it right. **Speaker 4** It'll stretch in Kredi Chaka. **Speaker 4** In this text, it's a little poem. **Speaker 4** That's a lesson, a lesson of love, right? **Speaker 4** Stretching the love, love. **Speaker 4** But the theory we're doing, in Tibet there's also a greater form, **Speaker 4** which is where you stand up on your mat, **Speaker 4** and then you go into a fold and fall on your butt, **Speaker 4** which can be pretty painful. **Speaker 4** So, you might not want to do that, I know. **Speaker 4** And they've got a cheat, they have special maps, but they fall off to the river. **Speaker 4** Yeah, they're kind of like those things that by a minute for now, people would jump out of them. **Speaker 4** So it's not as cool as it takes. **Speaker 4** In this one, you've already got one heel, it's a pretty one, and you already have the other heel up on the opposite side. **Speaker 4** And in this text, you can just raise up on your knees and go down like that. **Speaker 4** So it's not as drastic that you have already one heel down below the Muradar. **Speaker 4** And Muradar is striking on the heel, and that can be better. **Speaker 4** So you might try it both ways, with your teacher. **Speaker 4** You're not trying these things in the middle. **Speaker 4** What does it do for you? **Speaker 4** If you can stir the Muladhara chakra, the two lower chacters, Muladhara, Swadisana, and Manipura, **Speaker 4** at the peridium, at the lower back, and at the navel, right? In the back. **Speaker 4** Any time you stimulate one, you stimulate the other. So you're trying to get at the Swadisana, **Speaker 4** part of the running forward, the navel chakra, trying to get it down through the brain. **Speaker 4** And in this vet definition they don't even count the field as different. **Speaker 4** They count them all, they kind of grommet together, they call them navel chakra. **Speaker 4** They call it anything you do, they want to flex the navel. **Speaker 4** So, trying to get to the back of the slugs, down over the back of the navel chakra, **Speaker 4** to help stimulate inner fire. **Speaker 4** How does that work? When you bam down on a chakra, you're knocking some air, prana, into the central chakra. **Speaker 4** And you're also, because of the legs, you are freezing the movement of the prana, the downward clang. **Speaker 4** So you have a prana or a vayu in your body which is sending things down in the body like urin, feces, menses, semen. **Speaker 4** All of these are being sent down to the body by the downward curve. In Tibetan it's called the self-culture. **Speaker 4** Then when you tighten up here and you put the heel under the cranium and you're blocking it down the loop in the back of the air. **Speaker 4** And then to block, as you said in the text, to block the upward moving wind, which is called **Speaker 4** "Khanomite," you do the chin lock. **Speaker 4** We haven't learned that, John, but we're going to get to it. **Speaker 4** The chin lock prevents that wind from escaping as it usually does up to the neck chakra. **Speaker 4** So you're blocking it down. **Speaker 4** You're forcing the upward moving wind down, and you're forcing it downward to the wind up. **Speaker 4** and that creates a tension in the body which triggers inner fire. **Speaker 4** So that's the whole theme of all the mudras that you can do. **Speaker 4** You're hoping to trigger inner fire. **Speaker 4** You're pushing the powerful force up and you're pushing the powerful force down. **Speaker 4** Together with that, you do a mental focus, right? **Speaker 4** You must be focusing on the triple junction, right to the below the lima, **Speaker 4** where the three main channels connect. **Speaker 4** That's where inner fire will be united. **Speaker 4** So you're working to focus. **Speaker 4** If you focus the mind there, **Speaker 4** that becomes a real made in your mind. **Speaker 4** That is the state that you drive into the root of the tree. **Speaker 4** So if you focus the mind at that little juncture, **Speaker 4** and at first you're just pretending, okay? **Speaker 4** You've always thought you're just pretending, **Speaker 4** like you might be two feet off in your body, **Speaker 4** or just thought, you know, they say, **Speaker 4** talking to you, it weeks to yoga, **Speaker 4** make believe. **Speaker 4** Make believe that you have a **Speaker 4** simple junction down there. **Speaker 4** Make believe that you can awe your feelings. **Speaker 4** Make believe that you can see a career leader. **Speaker 4** But they put your mind inside of it. **Speaker 4** And that's the beginning of the case, **Speaker 4** when that becomes real, **Speaker 4** then your dad becomes real. **Speaker 4** So just pretend. **Speaker 4** First, just try. **Speaker 4** Try, turn your back off. **Speaker 4** And your mind is inside of that. **Speaker 4** And then when you hit it down, **Speaker 4** You're holding your mind there. **Speaker 4** Later, when your practice gets better, you can work on doing some kind of **Speaker 4** mildly meditation right around here at the same time, like that. **Speaker 4** You can work on that. That would be worth it. **Speaker 4** The text says that if you are taking an inhale retention, **Speaker 4** an inhale retention, you know you're going. **Speaker 4** And that would accentuate the action. **Speaker 4** So we teach it to people that we should be exhaling forcefully, not to press. **Speaker 4** That's a beautiful thing. **Speaker 4** Like that. It's sort of natural. **Speaker 4** If you try to retain too much early, you might hurt yourself. **Speaker 4** So it's much better to do it very gently than you can do it. **Speaker 4** And it's essential that you do these, all of these movements, **Speaker 4** all of these practices from the beginning of the chapter. **Speaker 4** Don't try them on your own. It won't work, it won't help you. **Speaker 4** You'll get sick, you won't break something, you'll disturb something inside, it takes a long time to fix. **Speaker 4** So, do it in a qualified teacher. We had a nice program over there on weekend, I think. **Speaker 4** And, uh, at 3-0's, it was very nice, and they're always teaching there, they can show you how to do things. **Speaker 4** And it's just much better. Don't try to do these things on your own. **Speaker 4** We even hesitate to teach them, as in some people won't listen, and they'll try it on their own. **Speaker 4** It's just causing problems, it's just causing trouble, so don't try it. **Speaker 4** But I'm a good teacher, and if you've always contacted three people, somebody will help you. **Speaker 4** So, what do I mean to do with this? **Speaker 4** It's possible. **Speaker 2** "Sama Tsar **Speaker 2** After practicing this, exhale the breath wounds. **Speaker 2** So, this verse has many things to talk about. **Speaker 2** First, I think I'll start with the word soma, and that's translated here as "neptar" **Speaker 2** Soma is a really interesting thing all over the Hindu scriptures, especially the Old **Speaker 2** Vangish Hindu scriptures. **Speaker 2** This is like, the Righam Vangelo is like 5,000 years old. **Speaker 2** It's one of the most ancient books we know. **Speaker 2** And they have this myth about a certain plant essence that they got. **Speaker 2** There was a secret holy mountain and the Vedic priests would go up there by moonlight and they would pick a certain plant. **Speaker 2** And they would secretly take it back down the mountain and they would press it between two rocks. **Speaker 2** And they would distill a certain kind of essence from it. **Speaker 2** They would extract a certain kind of essence from it. **Speaker 2** Then they would blend it together with a little bit of water and some ghee, sometimes flour, **Speaker 2** and like, I don't know, some other secret recipe that's probably hidden to us today. **Speaker 2** And then they would leave it to ferment. **Speaker 2** And then after a certain amount of time after it had fermented, it became something kind of like the, **Speaker 2** I don't know, the mescaline that the Native Americans use, or the mushrooms that the Native Americans use, **Speaker 2** it became like this really powerful hallucinogenic drug. **Speaker 2** And people would use it in their ceremonies. **Speaker 2** Like the priest, only the priest were allowed to do it. **Speaker 2** And they would use it for only ceremonial purposes. **Speaker 2** Either that, or they would just offer it to the gods. **Speaker 2** Because they thought that the soma was such a holy substance, **Speaker 2** that they would use it in their fire offering. **Speaker 2** and they would blend soma and fire together. **Speaker 2** And it's very interesting because when we're doing the meditation of the fire at the juncture **Speaker 2** of the three trekkers below the navel, what actually happens is the fire starts to burn **Speaker 2** up the central channel and then it eventually hits this place at the top of the head, the **Speaker 2** chakra at the top of the head, where the inner soma is kept in the body, like our inner mood **Speaker 2** nectar, and it starts to drip down, sort of like Yi, and it causes the fire to blaze up **Speaker 2** even more. I don't know if you've ever been to a fire offering and you've seen what happens **Speaker 2** when ye hits fire. **Speaker 2** At first it stouts a little, **Speaker 2** but then it blazes up even stronger. **Speaker 2** And that's what happens inside your body **Speaker 2** when the chakra at the tip of the head starts to melt. **Speaker 2** And then they start to, you know, the fire starts to rise, **Speaker 2** the melting starts to happen more, **Speaker 2** and then eventually they start to meet in the heart chakra. **Speaker 2** So, the outer fire offering of the ancient Vedic times is actually a symbol of what happens when we get the wind in the two side channels to enter into the central server. **Speaker 2** You know, everything that you can see in an external nature in some kind of rite, a sacrificial rite, is a reflection of our inner body. **Speaker 2** It's a very powerful thing, you know? **Speaker 2** And if you were not initiated into your inner body, **Speaker 2** you would just think that they were making offerings to the gods. **Speaker 2** You see how different it is? **Speaker 2** You know, like they personify this mood nectar, **Speaker 2** and they say, oh, this is Lord Sheba, you know? **Speaker 2** And they say, I'm making an offering to Lord Sheba. **Speaker 2** But it's all a representation of your inner body, **Speaker 2** of like the holiest substance of your inner body. **Speaker 2** So that's Soma. **Speaker 2** So it says, "When the fires of the nectar sun and moon have locked together," meaning when you've gotten the wind to enter into the central channel below your navel **Speaker 2** and you've gotten the fire that starts to blaze inside of you and it's blazed up enough that it's actually starting to make the chakra at the tip of your head start to drip down. **Speaker 2** Then something happens in Saturday. You start to understand emptiness in a very, very deep way. **Speaker 2** It's a mental, you know, the thoughts ride on the inner winds and when the inner winds enter the central channel, **Speaker 2** then you start to see emptiness. And you know, either you see it approximately or you see it directly. **Speaker 2** depending on how much of the inner wing is entering the central channel. **Speaker 2** If you can do that in your lifetime, then it doesn't matter. **Speaker 2** When you die, your death will be something different. **Speaker 2** It won't be a normal death. **Speaker 2** You know, I was talking to this really great yogi once, and we were talking about, well, the normal things that get to my children, I talk about angels and immortality and stuff like that. **Speaker 2** And he said, but the body has to die. **Speaker 2** You know, the body's mortal, it has to die. **Speaker 2** And I said, no, no, it doesn't. **Speaker 4** It doesn't have to die. **Speaker 4** That's completely, that's, no. **Speaker 2** You know, because, you know, you're just, it's not that you have a mortal body of flesh and blood that's actually out here. **Speaker 2** It's that right now you are perceiving yourself having a mortal body of flesh and blood that has to get all the time. **Speaker 2** You know, that could change, that could shift, because everything around you, including our bodies, is just a projection. **Speaker 2** It's not real. It's not real in the sense that, you know, he would say even if we left and went to a higher consciousness, we'd leave a body behind. **Speaker 2** Well, what body is left behind besides the body that we're projecting? There is no other body. **Speaker 2** There is no other body besides the body that we're projecting. **Speaker 2** So no, you don't have to. You don't have to watch this body, you know, get old and die. **Speaker 2** You don't have to watch it die. You can experience an incredible transformation. **Speaker 2** The event of death is rather like the event of you getting all of your winds into the central **Speaker 2** channel and seeing them to distract. All the same signs occur. You know, there are certain **Speaker 2** traditional hallucinations that you go through at the time of death that happen exactly the **Speaker 2** same way when the winds get into the central channel and you push the heavens. **Speaker 2** It's like the entire world dissolves. **Speaker 2** It's like the entire world is closed into the place where you have drawn the winds inside **Speaker 2** the central channel. **Speaker 2** In this case it was here. **Speaker 2** You know, it all "quack" right? **Speaker 2** And there is no more outer world. **Speaker 2** And then you get certain signs like when the elements dissolve in the body. **Speaker 2** You know, we have different elements. **Speaker 2** We have the earth element, and the water element, and the fire element, and the air element, and we have the element of consciousness. **Speaker 2** And when they say earth element, it doesn't mean there's a big pile of dirt in your body. **Speaker 2** It means the quality of hardness in your body. **Speaker 2** And then the water element is actually the quality of liquidity and movement in your body. **Speaker 2** And then the fire element is the quality of heat in your body. **Speaker 2** So we have all of these elements in our body, and as the process of death, they start to dissolve. **Speaker 2** And you start to get certain signs. **Speaker 2** Like when the earth element dissolves into the water element, you start to get a sign like a mirage. **Speaker 2** Like if you were on a really hot weather and you saw something in existence and it's wavering, that kind of mirage. **Speaker 2** Then the water element dissolves into the fire element and you get something, some kind of hallucination starts to come to you like smoke. **Speaker 2** Like from a stick of incense kind of smoke. **Speaker 2** Then water dissolves into fire, you get these little sparks in your conscious kind of, and they **Speaker 2** It fits like fire buds, little parts of light. **Speaker 2** And then fire dissolves into air. **Speaker 2** And that's the fire buds, right? **Speaker 2** So earth dissolves into water. **Speaker 2** Water dissolves into fire. **Speaker 2** We get smoke. **Speaker 2** Fire dissolves into the wind and you get fire flush. **Speaker 2** Wind dissolves into consciousness and we get a still flame, like a still butterland. **Speaker 2** There's no more wind anymore, it doesn't move around, it's just a very, very still flame. **Speaker 2** And in the defense system we actually practice these hallucinations. **Speaker 2** We actually practice watching the elements dissolve in the body because it's, you know, **Speaker 2** at the time of death, you can transform the process of death into something totally different. **Speaker 2** You can transform it into going into the direct perception of emptiness **Speaker 2** because it's like your winds are already going there. **Speaker 2** You know, you recognize it, you recognize it in a totally different way. **Speaker 2** You have like remapped your mind, you have retrained your mind to recognize it not as something like death, **Speaker 2** but something to be channeled, something to be harnessed and used. **Speaker 2** So, oh my God, my wings are going into my Facebook channel, what should I be thinking of right now? **Speaker 2** And you write it and you use it. **Speaker 2** Then there's a certain other process of hallucinations. **Speaker 2** Usually, you go unconscious. **Speaker 2** You know, after the last element dissolves into consciousness, you black out. **Speaker 2** If you can... **Speaker 2** Don't do it now. **Speaker 2** If you can maintain your consciousness at that moment, **Speaker 2** and if you can go through these stages of disillusion with an awareness of emptiness, **Speaker 2** any kind of awareness of emptiness, **Speaker 2** you will go into what they call the clear light. **Speaker 2** You go into the clear light of death anyway. **Speaker 2** They call it the primordial state of mind. **Speaker 2** Well, you're unconscious, you don't know about it, **Speaker 2** so it doesn't really do you any good. **Speaker 2** But if you've been practicing this tree-banging thing, **Speaker 2** and if you've been practicing getting the wind into the central channel, **Speaker 2** and if you've been practicing your mahamdra meditation, **Speaker 2** then when it happens to you, something totally different will happen. **Speaker 2** And instead you'll be like, "Oh my window and my central channel, oh emptiness." **Speaker 2** And you'll go into direct perception, emptiness. **Speaker 2** And then, when you come out, you don't come out into a faraway body as you normally would in the state of death. **Speaker 2** You come out into what they call an elucidate body, like a diamond body. **Speaker 2** It's like a body made of life. **Speaker 2** And they never have to die again. **Speaker 2** One thing to say about the traffic is that you don't want to wait until you're at the moment that you're at the traffic. **Speaker 2** This is for people that like, I don't know, they're really serious practitioners, but suddenly they get accidentally run over by a bus and they're dying and they weren't planning on it and they have to use it, right? **Speaker 2** But it's so jarring and it's so frightening to actually go through that process where the whole world just dissolves. **Speaker 2** And there's so many things happening when you die that it's really hard to concentrate on emptiness. **Speaker 2** I mean just think about when you were in your last fight with whoever, how hard it was for you to remember emptiness at that time. **Speaker 2** It's going to be like infinitely harder when you're dying. **Speaker 2** It's just like if you don't train your mind so well, you won't have any control of your mind as it will win it. **Speaker 2** So it's not the kind of thing that you would advise people to wait for. **Speaker 2** Like, "Oh, I'm going to wait until I'm almost dead and then I'm going to get the wisdom of my gentle channel and then I'm going to be an angel of light." **Speaker 2** No, well, be an angel of light before that. Practice all this stuff before that. **Speaker 2** But that's what it means in the verse when it says you can transform your God into a state of immortality. **Speaker 4** I am going to verse 29. **Speaker 4** I pray for the other one by a pastor of Sidney Gerakha, **Speaker 4** Abhisattva, a very bad guy. **Speaker 4** Saying that in itself, "God, good, and right." **Speaker 4** "To practice in this place here, **Speaker 4** at first of all, when you read it into the spirit, **Speaker 4** now you should see your nose gray hair and the children of all age." **Speaker 4** So that is really the practice cultivated by the various spiritual aspects. **Speaker 4** You see these kind of claims throughout the yogic literature and throughout this, you know, we see it elsewhere. **Speaker 4** They'll say that, you know, if you do the yogic poses you will not get old, you will have old age. **Speaker 4** So, you know, many people say, "Oh, she's gone to a school." **Speaker 4** In '93, and Master Anah is close. **Speaker 4** Uh, you know, and, uh, how the energy is better, better. **Speaker 4** And he's still doing, you know, endless art stamp in the streets of New York. **Speaker 4** No, you can do what you call a ringtone. **Speaker 4** I'm a red one color **Speaker 4** And it's not, you know, that you could be really old and still able to do the headstand. **Speaker 4** I heard one of the older brothers say, "I want to die in control of this." **Speaker 4** That's not the point. The point is, could you stop the process of aging altogether? **Speaker 4** That's the point. It's not that you get, you can still do the headstand with a miscarriage, or aiding or aiding. **Speaker 4** I think as yoga teachers, this is maybe one of the most important things you can get to **Speaker 4** the yoga world, is that these scriptures were not meant metaphorically, and they were not **Speaker 4** meant that, it wasn't meant to say, "Oh, you can get old friends for me, or you can look **Speaker 4** younger than you really are." Because what does it matter? I mean, ten more years of old age, **Speaker 4** 24 years of old age. **Speaker 4** It's almost like a suffering to have to do when you keep doing yoga. **Speaker 4** It's just harder in the way. **Speaker 4** So, even as you do yoga, even as you do an asana, to make yourself look stronger, **Speaker 4** you are older by that much time. **Speaker 4** It takes you 10 minutes to do the hospital so that you have no longer. **Speaker 4** You are 10 minutes old when you finish the hospital. **Speaker 4** And that's normally considered irrevocable. **Speaker 4** You have lost 10 minutes of your life. **Speaker 4** You are in hard terms when you finish the hospital. **Speaker 4** And if certain parts of your body, during the ophthalmology, **Speaker 4** have collapsed quickly towards death. **Speaker 4** So, we're talking about something much more radical. **Speaker 4** And the whole teaching of Hatha Yoga, the real teaching of Hatha Yoga is much more radical. **Speaker 4** The goal of yoga, asana, and Hatha Yoga, it has to be to stop the process of using coffee. **Speaker 4** To do that, you have to understand why people age. **Speaker 4** So I always tell people, I finished talking in North Carolina, I think it was in 1990, **Speaker 4** so I was going to talk about aging, and I found a national theater group, and they had **Speaker 4** a whole issue of aging. **Speaker 4** "You should find it, come here." **Speaker 4** It's good. **Speaker 4** And it had a holdout of the human body, you know, a whole holdout like that, and then **Speaker 4** And then it had an edge at each point in the body, as it ages, what happened. **Speaker 4** You know, like hair follicles shut down, hair falls out, you know. **Speaker 4** Lung capacity decreases, lung cells slow down, their reproduction, you know. **Speaker 4** And liver, the damage to the liver is accumulated. **Speaker 4** So I had hepatitis in India where I came and they told me, **Speaker 4** You don't carry that until you die. **Speaker 4** So, you know, there was all these big charts. **Speaker 4** And then at the bottom there was like a weird footnote. **Speaker 4** They said, "This is a description of how to do age, **Speaker 4** but scientists are still unsure why you age." **Speaker 4** You know, there was any other figure of age. **Speaker 4** It was like, "This is how each part is." **Speaker 4** "It's well documented." **Speaker 4** Why it happened? **Speaker 4** Why it doesn't happen after five years of life? **Speaker 4** Why does it not have 10 years of life? **Speaker 4** Why does it take extra energy? **Speaker 4** Who put that in a human body? **Speaker 4** Where does that go? **Speaker 4** How did life get inserted in your body and your personal? **Speaker 4** Why did dirt become... **Speaker 4** ...lite? **Speaker 4** Why did chemicals become a lot? **Speaker 4** There's no scientists who know to do that. **Speaker 4** It's... it's coming. **Speaker 4** It's coming. **Speaker 4** It's helping other people. **Speaker 4** It's serving other people, the lives of other people. **Speaker 4** If we were as interested in other people's lives as we are in our own, right, **Speaker 4** we'd spend as much time feeding the poor as we do on our shampoo and conditioners. **Speaker 4** You know, if we took care of others with the same attention and devotion that we take care of ourselves, **Speaker 4** then there would be a critical mass speech where the karma of aging would be reversed, **Speaker 4** and you wouldn't go back to that system. **Speaker 4** So people are always coming up to me to, "Am I doing enough?" **Speaker 4** Good karma. **Speaker 4** Are you game over? **Speaker 4** Have you gotten over in the last couple of years? **Speaker 4** Well, well, keep working there, you know. **Speaker 4** That's your attitude. **Speaker 4** You don't need a Lama to tell you if you're doing enough karma. **Speaker 4** If you're doing enough karma, you'll get nothing. **Speaker 4** And it will just reverse itself. **Speaker 4** That's all. **Speaker 4** So, here's a common question. People come up to me, "Donny Lama's coming home." **Speaker 4** Like, you can see he's coming home. And, what about that? **Speaker 4** This is the emptiness of aging, you see? This is the emptiness of a person's body. **Speaker 4** You have no idea how his holiness experiences his own body. **Speaker 4** You have no idea what he sees being looks in the mirror, right? **Speaker 4** each person in this group is having a different perception of his teaching. **Speaker 4** Some people are hot porn, some people are like blue porn and porn, **Speaker 4** and some people are saying "cooler but there's blue porn." **Speaker 4** You know, some people are interested in nothing. **Speaker 4** So, there's only one event happening up here, **Speaker 4** but everyone's perceiving it differently. **Speaker 4** And your body is the same. We don't know that this one of us perceives itself at all. **Speaker 4** We don't know. We can't say it. Unless, they say, until you can read his mind, you don't know. **Speaker 3** And even when you read his mind, you'll be reading your projections of his mind. **Speaker 4** He says, "You don't know how he's perceiving his own body." You can't know. You have to think you can't know. **Speaker 4** Because not everybody in Greece that Neil Young's Caldrama's head is a dress all over. **Speaker 4** That's proof of tension. **Speaker 4** Everyone carries a different perception of reality. **Speaker 4** So, is Guruji getting older? **Speaker 4** So, no. **Speaker 4** You have to honestly say, I don't know. **Speaker 4** You know, given his lifestyle, everyone has served people. **Speaker 4** I doubt that people see such a way to do. **Speaker 4** I like that. **Speaker 4** So, for yourself, how do you know when you've gone far enough? **Speaker 4** It's, when you're aging, it's about to change. **Speaker 4** And it will. **Speaker 4** One more point, okay? **Speaker 4** Then you won't be attracted to eating better. **Speaker 4** Then you will be attracted to doing your last things together. **Speaker 4** Then you will be attracted to the teachings that you're doing well. **Speaker 4** And they won't make you a new one. **Speaker 4** You will study the habit of a Deepika. **Speaker 4** You will use this trainings. **Speaker 4** You will eat properly. **Speaker 4** You will act properly, for example, if you go at all being. **Speaker 4** Eat not up and cut. **Speaker 4** You will be led into ways to be younger **Speaker 4** by the kind of taking care of the people. **Speaker 4** And it's all still explicit. **Speaker 4** These are all expressions of taking care of other people. **Speaker 4** The power comes from taking care of other people. **Speaker 4** The expression of the power is that suddenly you need a good yoga teacher. **Speaker 4** Or suddenly you start to eat better. **Speaker 4** Or suddenly you seem like I'm going to be okay. **Speaker 4** So don't confuse the cost with the expression of the power. **Speaker 4** Yoga is not making me younger. **Speaker 4** The correct diet is not going to be better right now. **Speaker 4** It's taking care of others. **Speaker 4** and they are expressing themselves as a great building teacher. **Speaker 4** Somebody just shows up. **Speaker 4** But they don't just show up, you make them. **Speaker 4** And they help you become younger. **Speaker 4** Because you work with every other. **Speaker 4** So serving others is at the bottom. **Speaker 4** And until you become younger, you know it. **Speaker 4** And until you start doing so, you should work hard **Speaker 4** It's your denominator of your progress. **Speaker 4** I'm a health pastor, you're aging. **Speaker 4** If you're aging quickly, you have to work harder. **Speaker 3** So it's true that this one post could **Speaker 3** Spanish, Spanish, right? **Speaker 2** But as Gershwin Michael says in his business course, it has to be loaded. **Speaker 2** Verse 31. **Speaker 2** Ashradhar Priyate Shaiva **Speaker 2** Yamarayave Dene **Speaker 2** amassing good deeds and lancing through the army of the bad. **Speaker 2** Learn these methods well and in the beginning practice learning short bursts. **Speaker 2** So I'm going to do the first part of this verse and next one is going to do the second part. **Speaker 2** Well, I'm going to do the middle part and he's going to do the first and the last part of the verse. **Speaker 2** You know, once you start to understand the power of karma emptiness, then all of a sudden **Speaker 2** you're faced with this, "Well, what do I do? **Speaker 2** How do I stop getting old? **Speaker 2** You know, I mean, now I want to try it. **Speaker 2** You've sold me. **Speaker 2** Miss Michael, I believe this karma emptiness stuff, so you've sold me, so what do I do?" **Speaker 2** Die sind zwei sehr famous Tibetan Methoden, das in diesem Versen ist: **Speaker 2** Amassing big leagues, und lancing through the army of the Batists. **Speaker 2** Once you understand emptiness, it's kind of embarrassing to tell people that something bad happened to you. **Speaker 2** Like we were talking about the cab driver who drives around the block and tries to get extra scared. **Speaker 2** And once you have a certain degree of emptiness understanding, it's like, **Speaker 2** well, it's actually quite revealing to come up here on a stage and say that something bad like that has happened. **Speaker 2** because all of you who are great deafness understanders should be like, **Speaker 2** how did you do to rip somebody off in the air? **Speaker 2** In the recent past, forgive me. **Speaker 2** You know, like you should automatically, like that should automatically come up in your mind. **Speaker 2** Whenever you think of something, whenever you start complaining to somebody, **Speaker 2** you should think twice. **Speaker 2** Because if they understand deafness, they're just going to think, oh. **Speaker 2** You know, so every time you open your mouth to say something about somebody else, **Speaker 2** you're talking about yourself in the past, right? **Speaker 2** So how do we purify that? **Speaker 2** How do we get rid of the cab drivers that drive us around the block? **Speaker 2** How do we get rid of the impurities within us? **Speaker 2** We have to get rid of impurities because they can block our practice. **Speaker 2** You know, we can have physical problems. **Speaker 2** We can have health problems that block our practice. **Speaker 2** They block our ability to do yoga, for instance. **Speaker 2** They block our ability to be able to sit in a nice meditative position for more than five seconds **Speaker 2** without my knee hurting or my back hurting. **Speaker 2** So you have to get rid of those problems. **Speaker 2** You have to get rid of emotional problems that you have that block you from your practice. **Speaker 2** You have to get rid of all of these things that are obstacles. **Speaker 2** You have to get rid of circumstantial problems that block you from your practice. **Speaker 2** You have to get rid of, you know, lack of time. **Speaker 2** You have to get rid of partners who don't like you when you practice. **Speaker 2** You have to get rid of, you don't get rid of them like they're the door, you just change them for your practice. **Speaker 2** But you have to get rid of all these obstacles. **Speaker 2** And there's a practice with it. There's a practice. **Speaker 2** Cam Rinpoche used to call them blockers. **Speaker 2** Blockers. You've got to get rid of those blockers. **Speaker 2** That's actually the drip buzz and then the thick buzz are what they say bad things and obstacles. **Speaker 2** Bad things and obstacles. You have to get rid of your negative karma and you have to get rid of those blockers. **Speaker 2** So how do they do that? **Speaker 2** In, it's a really nice practice if you're doing a daily meditation to use your preliminaries to do that. **Speaker 2** You know, every single time, if you do a daily meditation practice, **Speaker 2** the very first thing that you do is you sit down in front of someone that inspires you, **Speaker 2** some kind of holy being or holy teacher. **Speaker 2** It doesn't really matter who, as long as they speak to your heart, **Speaker 2** And then you tell them about the worst things you did yesterday. **Speaker 2** You know, I feel really dumb, blah, blah, blah, blah. **Speaker 2** And it gets it off your chest. **Speaker 2** And it's like a, it's like a, if you don't do this practice of confessing it to somebody, **Speaker 2** even in your mind, then it's like you're carrying this huge weight around with you. **Speaker 2** Like every single negative word that you said to somebody yesterday is stored in your heart **Speaker 2** and you're carrying it around you and eventually it starts to build up and it starts to clog **Speaker 2** your mind. **Speaker 2** And then when you sit down to meditate, your mind is not very still and silent like you **Speaker 2** want it to be. **Speaker 2** It's actually, there's all these waves because there's all this stuff cluttering it. **Speaker 2** You know, just let it go. **Speaker 2** You just give it to this holy being and say, I don't want this anymore, you know. **Speaker 2** I, you know, please, please help me. **Speaker 2** I did this, you know, thing. **Speaker 2** And we have a practice called the Four Powers of Purification, **Speaker 2** which I don't know, most of you probably know, some of you don't know, **Speaker 2** where you do a four-step process to make sure that the karma is actually totally purified. **Speaker 2** The first thing you do is you remember evidence, right? **Speaker 2** That's your tenbeito. **Speaker 2** It's your foundation power. **Speaker 2** So you think about emptiness. Okay. I just say this thing, I yelled at Gushin Michael **Speaker 2** the other day, and because of that, he's probably, either him or somebody else is probably going **Speaker 2** to yell at me in about three days, considering he's a very powerful target of it, he's probably **Speaker 2** going to do. And so you think about emptiness, you think about emptiness according to what **Speaker 2** you just did back, you know? Like, it's going to come back to me, that was really stupid. **Speaker 2** Then that's the second thing. It's the second power. **Speaker 2** Automatically, if you think about the emptiness of what you did, the second power just comes to you. **Speaker 2** It's that regret, right? **Speaker 2** That was really stupid of me. **Speaker 2** You know, I shouldn't have yelled at Geshe Michael because I don't want Geshe Michael to yell at me **Speaker 2** because it's like 20 billion times worse than when I yell at him, you know? **Speaker 2** I yell at him like this much for like 5 seconds and then he yells at me for like hours. **Speaker 2** Eu não me lembro de que eu gostei. **Speaker 2** So then you get the Sun Jin Pei To. That's where, um, To means power. You know, "Dei To means foundation power." **Speaker 2** That's where you think about it. Sun Jin Pei To is like, um, the power that roots it out from its roots. **Speaker 2** So it's the power of regretting what you did. And it's not a guilt thing. It's not, "Oh, I'm such a bad person because I yell at people all the time." **Speaker 2** It's not that, because guilt actually is not a very productive thing. **Speaker 2** It just kind of lets you wallow in your own, I don't know, it's very, **Speaker 2** and you guys don't even have a word for guilt. **Speaker 2** Like, they don't do it. **Speaker 2** It's just a Judeo-Christian thing that we've lost on ourselves. **Speaker 2** We can get rid of it. **Speaker 2** It's just that you can abandon your own guilt and just feel kind of stupid that you're going to get the karma back. **Speaker 2** You know, because guilt is almost an excuse for not doing something about it. **Speaker 2** Like, oh, I'm a social bad person, I'm going to hand shake. **Speaker 2** You know? **Speaker 2** You see? **Speaker 2** It's like, it like limits you and freezes you and keeps you stuck in the mud, and we don't want that. **Speaker 2** We want to go beyond it. **Speaker 2** We want to get rid of it. **Speaker 2** We want to purify it. **Speaker 2** So it's just that, it's like a healthy regret. **Speaker 2** Right? **Speaker 2** Then, "larm doveto" that's the turning back from it, going the opposite direction. **Speaker 2** And, you know, this is really key when you're trying to do the four powers of purification. **Speaker 2** It's the promise not to do it again. **Speaker 2** Like, I'm going to make a resolution. **Speaker 2** It's a resolution. **Speaker 2** I'm not going to do this thing again. **Speaker 2** Now, when it comes to having harsh words with your holy, lone partner, **Speaker 2** you probably have to set a time of it, right? **Speaker 2** I mean, if you're with somebody 24-7 and, you know, you're not perfect yet, **Speaker 2** it's going to happen sooner or later. **Speaker 2** So you set a time, you're like, I'm not going to yell at Kishin Michael **Speaker 2** or even give him a dirty look for the next 24 hours. **Speaker 2** You know, it's like you, um, **Speaker 2** the dirty look thing is probably like too much for me, **Speaker 2** but, um, **Speaker 2** we keep silence, but it's like, **Speaker 2** we don't, we don't have a Bible. **Speaker 2** Um, so the, **Speaker 2** the line of the show has to do with, um, **Speaker 2** if you were really serious, **Speaker 2** If you really actually did regret what you were doing, you wouldn't want to do it again. **Speaker 2** And you'd want to help yourself grow past that. **Speaker 2** So if you feel this hesitation to do the third one, it means you didn't really do the second one. **Speaker 2** Right? **Speaker 2** You really don't regret it so much if you don't feel like trying not to do it again. **Speaker 2** And so that's kind of like just a barometer for me. **Speaker 2** The test, like, okay, do I really regret it? **Speaker 2** Well, will I promise to myself I'm not going to do it again? **Speaker 2** Then I know in my heart whether I'm really doing these four powers. **Speaker 2** Then the last one is Nyen Kweiko, which means the antidote power. **Speaker 2** And that's like a makeup activity that you do. **Speaker 2** I yell to Keshe-ma for five minutes, so I'll give him the poof-asage for half an hour. **Speaker 2** You know, it's like... **Speaker 2** You know, and you try to equate the karma of what you did with the antidote. **Speaker 2** Like, if you did something really serious to hurt another person's body, **Speaker 2** you might want to go and work in a hospital for a couple weeks. **Speaker 2** Like, if it's a really serious karma, you just need a balance. **Speaker 2** You know, if you, um... **Speaker 3** I don't know. **Speaker 2** You have to find something that's equitable. **Speaker 2** You don't necessarily have to do your antidote force on the same person that you yelled at or something. **Speaker 2** You know, if they're not available or if they don't really like you enough to let them massage their feet. **Speaker 2** Let you massage their feet. **Speaker 2** So, you know, just use your best judgment. **Speaker 2** But you can do all of these in about five minutes in your preliminary meditation every morning. **Speaker 2** You can just go through them like this, even smaller than five minutes. **Speaker 2** And this is actually exactly what you're supposed to be doing in your six times book, six times a day. **Speaker 2** Right? Every single time. How many people don't know how to do a six times book? **Speaker 2** Be honest, raise your hands. **Speaker 2** Okay. All the people that raised their hands, find somebody in England that didn't raise their hands over the break. **Speaker 2** You know, we're about to take a break. **Speaker 2** Find someone to teach you how to do a good practice book. **Speaker 2** Okay? All right. **Speaker 2** But that's a beautiful way to keep your mind clear during the day. **Speaker 2** And it's such a great yogi activity to constantly check with yourself. **Speaker 2** Every couple hours, just stop and evaluate what you've been doing throughout the day. **Speaker 2** Keep you mindful. **Speaker 2** Keeps you in sort of a meditative state all day long. **Speaker 4** This is powerful. **Speaker 2** This is a quick drip jump. **Speaker 2** May I have to do Soak Saq really quickly and then we'll take a break. **Speaker 2** Soak Saq is a nasty great disease. **Speaker 2** Collecting, collecting, doing karma. **Speaker 2** So the other one was cleaning out your bad karma, **Speaker 2** but then you have to collect great karma as well. **Speaker 2** What's the most powerful thing you can do to collect good karma? **Speaker 2** Think about the mother. Think about emptiness. **Speaker 2** You're your mama. You're all correct. **Speaker 2** Yeah, when Geshe Michael teaches the four powers, a lot of times he'll say for your **Speaker 2** antidote power, I mean for your antidote power, just study emptiness. **Speaker 2** Because emptiness is such a powerful karma that'll clean up any negative karma. **Speaker 2** And it's also, it's the best, it's incredible big karma. **Speaker 2** Now, it could be that you're at a place where your emptiness perception is at a plateau, **Speaker 2** and you can't really get past a certain stage, like you continue to study it, but still you're **Speaker 2** on the same level over and over and over again. **Speaker 2** You have to go find a very powerful karmic object, and you have to actually actively collect **Speaker 2** collect good karma in order to change that understanding of everything. **Speaker 2** And that's what Guru Yoga is all about. **Speaker 2** Serving other people is a way to amass good karma. **Speaker 2** But you don't have to even waste your time serving so many other people. **Speaker 2** All you have to do is focus on serving your mama because your mama is the most powerful karma cause you have. **Speaker 2** Your parents are pretty powerful too. **Speaker 2** Your parents are like seven. But the reason why your holy teachers are so powerful is **Speaker 2** because they have the power to get you out of the cycle of faith. Like nobody else. **Speaker 2** And so they are, they are for you, an incredible powerful karmic goddess. If you don't have **Speaker 2** If you have a Lama, then you don't have the incredibly powerful carbon object yet, and you might think about that. **Speaker 2** But go to your Lama, learn from them, practice what they teach. **Speaker 2** That's the best offering that you can do, is just go and practice what they've been teaching you. **Speaker 2** Like you guys, you guys are all teachers and you know, you've just heard a week and a half of Kasey, everything is difficult, it would be two weeks. **Speaker 2** You go out after that and find a way to share with other people and find a way to practice it yourself. **Speaker 2** And that's exactly what Kureyoga is, you know? **Speaker 2** It's doing what your love is asking you to do and passing on the lineage, continuing this holy lineage of this holy book. **Speaker 2** Get yourself in a position where you can serve your alumnus. **Speaker 2** Put yourself in a position where you can serve them. **Speaker 2** I mean, even if it's just a team or whatever your capacity is, you know. **Speaker 2** There are many holy projects that we're going to be talking about, **Speaker 2** and any one of them can be counted on as helping to serve your Lama's mission in the world. **Speaker 2** And that's incredibly powerful and hard not. **Speaker 2** And it doesn't really take a lot of effort on your part. **Speaker 2** It's actually quite fun. **Speaker 2** You know, maybe your Lama needs you to go to Mongolia **Speaker 2** or maybe your Lama just needs you to write a letter to someone in Mongolia. **Speaker 2** It doesn't matter. **Speaker 2** You know, either way, it's kind of cool. **Speaker 2** contacting someone in Mongolia. **Speaker 2** You know, it's like, did you ever dream? **Speaker 2** And, you know, I never think of my wildest dreams. **Speaker 2** I wouldn't have imagined we were going to be studying all around the world **Speaker 2** doing teachings here and there in South America and China and this and that. **Speaker 2** You know, you open yourself up, you just let them guide you, **Speaker 2** and then miraculous things start to happen in your life and in your world. **Speaker 4** By the way, I think the people at Dandenong are giving, as school-care teachers, they've **Speaker 4** been giving us the highest opportunity in the last year, I think, so your practice, your **Speaker 4** meditation, your yoga, your service of others is the highest offer to your teacher. It's **Speaker 4** not money or tickets, it's your own practice. The ultimate offer that pleases your teacher **Speaker 4** is to see you happy. The happier you get, they feel like their work has succeeded. So **Speaker 4** So I don't know, there's something happening in time, about 150 people, **Speaker 4** but they just seem happier every year, becoming more happy. **Speaker 4** So that's why it's the highest profit. **Speaker 4** They see that their work in you is producing happiness, and they are successful. **Speaker 4** And they feel, this is the highest profit, not peace, not money. **Speaker 4** Often than your happiness. **Speaker 4** If you don't have much happiness often, **Speaker 4** then you're probably not meditating with me. **Speaker 1** I would suspect. **Speaker 4** All right. **Speaker 4** We promised that over the course of two weeks, **Speaker 4** we would talk about three concepts that you could get involved in. **Speaker 4** And what we said Friday, I think, **Speaker 4** I think you did one, right? **Speaker 4** was that your yoga and your meditation, your mantras, eating well, **Speaker 4** none of them will work on you if you're not helping other people. **Speaker 4** None of them will do anything for you if you're not serving other people. **Speaker 4** So you can go to all the other classes you want, **Speaker 4** you can write all the homeworks well in these cards, **Speaker 4** You can eat all the organic, vegan bananas in the world. **Speaker 4** You know, you can do all of the things you're supposed to do, but they won't work on you. **Speaker 4** You don't just jump in concrete to help other people. **Speaker 4** And so part, we feel that we're supposed to teach you the highest kinds of yoga, right? **Speaker 4** We're supposed to teach you the esoteric, the really esoteric yoga. **Speaker 4** We have to have a component of offering you some service that you can do. **Speaker 4** Or we're not teaching properly. **Speaker 4** You see, my mama, he gave us many opportunities to serve over many years. **Speaker 4** And those who served other people in the way that he asked us to are really happy people and really successful people. **Speaker 4** And those who just did the book work and just did the assaduas and ignored serving other people, they didn't turn out so well. **Speaker 4** So this is what makes the difference. **Speaker 4** Okay, maybe the difference between someone who goes to a young studio and a real young **Speaker 4** is helping others in the studio. **Speaker 4** So, last week we gave one idea that you could help with. **Speaker 4** And we're going to pitch another idea now. **Speaker 4** So you guys ready? **Speaker 4** I can't really project it on the wall. **Speaker 4** I don't know if you're going to ask the move. **Speaker 4** Are you guys ready? **Speaker 4** Thank you. **Speaker 3** We have rejected our proper work. **Speaker 1** La Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días **Speaker 1** I'm sorry. **Speaker 1** Thank you. **Speaker 1** I'm sorry. **Speaker 3** Субтитры создавал DimaTorzok **Speaker 1** Ahem! **Speaker 4** So I'll give you this case, okay? **Speaker 4** If you know the Diamond Connor book, it was based on a book called the Kamataka. **Speaker 4** Diamond Connor was taught by the... **Speaker 4** There's only one grade to that explanation. **Speaker 4** It was housed in a library of... **Speaker 4** My teachers were serving in bed and in his home. **Speaker 4** On the day my teacher got bread, he was in India. **Speaker 4** All the copies were bread. **Speaker 4** So 25 years later, we found one copy in Russia. **Speaker 4** in the library. In Russia, St. Petersburg, there's a library that's about 100,000 books. **Speaker 4** And there's a strong people that built. They were stolen from Black Hole in the Russian. **Speaker 4** So they spent telling Steve I spent 15 years, kind of like, these books bring them back to the others. **Speaker 4** We just finished 100,000 books. **Speaker 4** But recently we found out that all the books by Andrew's problem are, **Speaker 4** it's still one copy but it's bad. **Speaker 4** It's decent, bad. **Speaker 4** So we called them "A Home" because there's about 100 words written that we can get. **Speaker 4** And a lot of them are not broken, and quite well, uh, **Speaker 4** in the expulsion. So you don't have to choose the **Speaker 4** I said, "Julia right there." **Speaker 4** They cut it up. She's got the phone over. **Speaker 4** And then, we called recently. **Speaker 4** We spoke to the oven. **Speaker 4** I see the assistant on it. **Speaker 4** I see the head of the school. **Speaker 4** One of them is supposed to let them. **Speaker 4** Who gets me? **Speaker 4** You know? **Speaker 4** They asked me to call. **Speaker 4** And I turned to talk to them. **Speaker 4** I was like, "I started crying." **Speaker 4** I've been, I've been, I've been, I've been speaking to you, so I've been speaking to you. **Speaker 3** So, you know, we got a whole family before next week. **Speaker 3** And he's praying to you, that we were hoping to take a plan. **Speaker 3** And we say to folks, you know, we're going to be a teacher. **Speaker 3** And then, you know, maybe we can help. **Speaker 4** Say, you know, so I said, yeah, I want to get, you know, is it good? **Speaker 4** I think you're challenging. **Speaker 4** What's up on the book? **Speaker 4** And they were like, "Oh, that's good." **Speaker 4** And so, Jason, Jason. **Speaker 3** So, he's foolishly volunteering. **Speaker 4** First, he'll fly to the same years, but **Speaker 4** and he has a super-gathering machine, **Speaker 4** and we're hoping he can finish what they have in a week or two. **Speaker 4** and then, uh, the book of China, and to show these, to the small business, and, uh, make copies. **Speaker 4** And then, uh, we'll put them up free anywhere, because everything we did was not free everywhere. **Speaker 4** So, uh, I think I'll fly 10,000 pieces, uh, books, free anywhere. **Speaker 4** Enjoy, uh, reading. **Speaker 4** He had really struggles to find the money in a hundred people. **Speaker 4** He had really struggles. **Speaker 4** He took a lot of time in the Chilean park. **Speaker 4** And he invited me to be inspired by the experience, **Speaker 4** since he's been doing this job. **Speaker 4** because he's trying to do it with that. **Speaker 4** Nobody really cares. **Speaker 4** Like most of them, people are just trying to find food. **Speaker 4** They're not so worried about people. **Speaker 4** They don't even know what's being lost. **Speaker 4** And in India also, **Speaker 4** most people don't even care about what you're learning, **Speaker 4** what's being lost, they have no idea what could happen. **Speaker 4** People, the students, they are just trying to make a difference. **Speaker 4** And folks are just all being lost. **Speaker 4** It's stupid because it's so easy now to say, **Speaker 3** "Well, it costs nothing. It costs less than one person's salary in the United States." **Speaker 3** It's crazy. Somebody has to care. **Speaker 4** See, that's the problem. The knowledge we did became white and young could save many people's lives when they get back to that. **Speaker 4** So they expect that. And we don't say that now that what we're not, they can't beat their own bones. **Speaker 4** They just love. So, so, Christine has a good day. **Speaker 4** So you've got to come out and help with this, okay? **Speaker 4** And don't think about movies and your friends or your life or something. **Speaker 4** You can say, "You're crazy. **Speaker 4** You need help. Help me." **Speaker 4** So, do it. **Speaker 4** You are getting dead like we are. **Speaker 4** We'll take this one. **Speaker 4** Okay, done? **Speaker 4** Alright, how do I say? **Speaker 4** I have a new case for some people. **Speaker 4** You know, you don't want to. **Speaker 4** Floor. **Speaker 4** Mario is here. **Speaker 4** Chibi. **Speaker 4** and Gali, Mercedes, **Speaker 4** Bill, **Speaker 3** Thank you.
