Now, one more piece of advice about your session. **Speaker 1** Your day is full already. Did you notice? **Speaker 1** Your day is booked already. Your time is booked already. **Speaker 1** We should know this time, by now. So even today, "Okay, I'll be 16 years today." **Speaker 1** What I've learned, and this is from thousands of students, **Speaker 1** formally, we are giving our santa. **Speaker 1** Formally, again, we are giving our santa to take this character of your own practice. **Speaker 1** And then do, under 15 minutes, Mahamudu, you know, **Speaker 1** I want to have written a text by Mahamudu, **Speaker 1** so you can, I'm so inspired, I'm going to do Mahamudu. **Speaker 1** Okay, so tell me what you're going to give up. **Speaker 1** And how can you list the things that you need? **Speaker 1** The New York Times. **Speaker 1** Tested out the same person. **Speaker 1** Okay? **Speaker 1** What I found out, and I used to read it very good, **Speaker 1** I found out that you just walked down the street and looked at that type of page, **Speaker 1** as much as you can see through the glass, **Speaker 1** it's enough. **Speaker 1** That's all you need to know. Read them. Read them. **Speaker 1** Magazines, get them. Magazines, get these pictures, stock them. **Speaker 1** Just out of your heart. They just throw away like 15 minutes a day. **Speaker 1** So that's an easy thing to start. **Speaker 1** Television is obvious. **Speaker 1** I saw IBM just finished a major study of America's How We Spend Our Day. **Speaker 1** And I think the average is three to four hours on television a day, or four to five. **Speaker 1** And the percentage of people who don't watch TV is losing. **Speaker 1** So, we're going to be 15 years or something, and I've spent some years in the same year. **Speaker 1** So, you know, that's an easy place to cut from time, because it just goes like that. **Speaker 1** It just goes like that. **Speaker 1** And I think nowadays, email, check it. **Speaker 1** Decide you're going to check it on a certain side of it. **Speaker 1** Decide you're going to check it once a day. **Speaker 1** Because it's really just a girl's problem. **Speaker 1** It's like a smoking. **Speaker 1** Or a strike over anything. **Speaker 1** It's just that you feel like you need some stimulation. **Speaker 1** And you don't need to really get anything else to do with that. **Speaker 1** You want to get some knowledge of what I'm doing. **Speaker 1** And so, these are, I think that the web, which was supposed to save us time. **Speaker 1** Everybody's time. We've time. **Speaker 1** Has stolen this time. **Speaker 1** And just very gently and without being angry. **Speaker 1** You tell your computer, you know, we're not getting to the web. **Speaker 1** Hey, but I'm not going to start with you, right? **Speaker 1** Or maybe on Sundays you can start, Sunday evening. **Speaker 1** After the church, I'm sorry. **Speaker 1** It's here on Sunday, so what can you say? **Speaker 1** I'm not going to ask you. **Speaker 1** You can start with yourself a time. **Speaker 1** Well, you can start with this, you won't be trying to get it. **Speaker 1** And we're still fine. **Speaker 1** And you might think about that, but the whole ritual of getting out from you and eating **Speaker 1** and then maybe I'm not going to **Speaker 1** So you can think about that. **Speaker 1** Since we do yoga now in that morning, we only eat around one o'clock. **Speaker 1** I switched it to the gym and I'm sure. **Speaker 1** But, um, we did quite a lot with my sleep. **Speaker 1** And then, right away, you feel the time for your practice. **Speaker 1** Right away, before you sell something else. **Speaker 1** Before something else, feel that power that you saved. **Speaker 1** and start doing your new courses. **Speaker 1** Start doing your practice. **Speaker 1** Because we talked about the greatest offering to a teacher in your happiness level. **Speaker 1** If the teacher sees that the happiness level among the students is very inclusive, **Speaker 1** you get really happy, you get really encouraged, you know? **Speaker 1** And if you have regular meditation class, every day, if you do it, **Speaker 1** if you have a yoga process, every single day, **Speaker 1** If you eat a vegetarian diet, like, you know, without going to other things, **Speaker 1** you can just, your basic level of happiness will suddenly increase. **Speaker 1** Because if you don't do those things, it won't happen. **Speaker 1** So, I don't know, sometimes I think we spend too much on the verses and the studies and the roots and the comments, **Speaker 1** And we don't ask, you know, "How are you doing?" **Speaker 1** Every day, because then you'll be happy. **Speaker 1** And that's what everybody wants instead of you. **Speaker 1** Somebody already, suffering, and you're watching tired, **Speaker 1** you'll be tired. **Speaker 1** Then you'll just be happy, and that's the point that we can all start. **Speaker 1** Damien Reese, 5, 8, 5. **Speaker 2** All perfect. **Speaker 2** "Turna **Speaker 2** You will then be made into a skill called sky dancing. **Speaker 2** So this practice is called Tsechari and Tsechari means the angel who dances in his sky. **Speaker 1** Angel who dances in his sky. **Speaker 2** And in this particular text, it's a certain type of mudra, and it's done, this is probably one of the oddest mudras in the whole book. **Speaker 2** You're supposed to turn your tongue backwards, right, so that the bottom part is facing the **Speaker 2** roots of your mouth, and then you're supposed to insert it all the way up, so it touches **Speaker 2** your adeno chakra. Now, you know, your tongue is not long enough to do that. So then there's **Speaker 2** methods, like try it, okay? Try to be how far you can pull your tongue back. See, there's **Speaker 1** This little part here, called the random, and it's holding your tongue back. **Speaker 2** It's like, it's that protective mechanism of your own body so that you don't actually **Speaker 2** swallow your tongue down on it. **Speaker 2** So, in India, what they do, which is a crazy practice, where they actually systematically **Speaker 2** start to cut the random in like increments, so that they can lengthen their tongue and **Speaker 2** and be able to put it back so they can actually reach the Ajahnar Chakra. **Speaker 2** So there's three different techniques to lengthening your tongue. **Speaker 2** Like, my is part of the class. Okay. **Speaker 2** Since we were fighting over the verse, you know, "No, you do it." **Speaker 2** Okay, I'll do it. I'll stick my tongue out. **Speaker 2** The first stage is, you guys do that. **Speaker 2** Okay, get your mind, won't be my luck. **Speaker 2** This one is called wagging the tongue in order to break it. **Speaker 2** You just move it around a little bit. **Speaker 2** I'm glad you're going to break it out of your ear. **Speaker 2** You can try it out. **Speaker 2** You can try it out. **Speaker 2** You can try it out. **Speaker 2** You can try it out. **Speaker 2** They make it. **Speaker 2** They make it. **Speaker 2** Then the second one, you just wrap the cloth around it and just kind of, **Speaker 1** They try and make it that way. **Speaker 2** And then the third one is actually the process of cutting the thread. **Speaker 2** You use a very sharp razor that has been sterilized, and you just cut a hair. **Speaker 2** A hairy thread. **Speaker 2** And they actually don't recommend it for adults. **Speaker 2** So it's usually done when you're actually still in your growing years from like, I don't know, **Speaker 2** you're just like 12, 16 or 18 or something like that. **Speaker 2** The body readily feels, actually in the same years after 18 you're like going down low. **Speaker 2** Your body is going down low. **Speaker 2** So it's like you want to get, you want to do stuff like that when your body is still growing **Speaker 2** because it still has all this power to feel itself. **Speaker 2** So, that's the tradition in ancient India. **Speaker 2** And they still do this practice today in ancient India. **Speaker 2** And the people that you've heard of that go into caves and seal themselves in a cave with no air **Speaker 2** and go into deep states of meditation for years, and they come out fine. **Speaker 2** I don't know, fine, but they're still loud. **Speaker 2** They're doing this practice. **Speaker 2** Like it's a practice that if you've done correctly and you do it under a qualified **Speaker 2** you can actually learn how to, it controls your heartbeat. **Speaker 2** You can learn how to slow down your heartbeat to like this really, really low level **Speaker 2** so that you're basically almost dead. **Speaker 2** And so you're a really, really subtle state of consciousness. **Speaker 2** It's a meditative buddha to put your mind in a more meditative state. **Speaker 2** If you did it correctly, you could learn how to slow your heartbeat down, you could learn how to stop your breath, your out of breath. You're still breathing but not in a gross external way. So you could sit there in a cave with no air and meditate, you know, we did a boy for years and we'd be fine. **Speaker 2** Now, is it the goal of our practice? I don't know. What are you going to take to arm is the question. **Speaker 2** If you're not meditating on emptiness, then it's not very useful. **Speaker 2** That's basically the bottom line of the whole thing. **Speaker 2** It's like, yes, you can get into this really deep state of concentration, **Speaker 2** and then you can go to some zoned out state, and you can sit there when you're not breathing fingers, **Speaker 2** what's the point? If you're not using it to get yourself enlightened, if you're not using it to transform yourself, then you come out and you still desire. **Speaker 2** So, some of these practices, if you use them to stand since directly, if you use them to transform your body and your mind and just stay with angels, then yes, they're valuable. **Speaker 2** And there is a way to get this practice that way. **Speaker 2** But, you know, people have not used it that way and that's, according to us, that's a way to do it. **Speaker 2** So, there's a milder version. **Speaker 2** We actually don't have a tradition where you cut your body in order to lengthen your tongue and reach out. **Speaker 2** There's a milder version of this mudra where you actually just reverse your tongue **Speaker 2** so that the bottom part of your tongue is touching the soft palate behind the base, behind the bump, right? **Speaker 2** You can either do that or you can actually have the bottom of the tongue in front of the bump, right? **Speaker 2** If it's in front of the bump, that's actually right where the Ajna Chakra is. **Speaker 2** Like if you went straight up from there. **Speaker 2** You see these little bumps in your head here? **Speaker 2** You know, they're called your temples. **Speaker 2** And there's a reason that your body makes these curves. **Speaker 2** It's because there's a chakra there. **Speaker 2** So you draw a little line this way, and then you draw a line from that curve on your mouth up, **Speaker 2** and that coordinate is exactly where your Ajna chakra is. **Speaker 2** So if you were to press your tongue against the roof of your mouth right there, you would be directly stimulating your Ajna chakra. **Speaker 2** If you press your tongue a little bit farther back, the place behind the bump, there's a small chakra there called the Lala Knight Chakra. **Speaker 2** And that is connected to, that's a trigger point. **Speaker 2** Because, you know, like Geshe-Martha was saying, all the lower chakras trigger each other. **Speaker 2** So you could trigger the Occhakra and you could trigger the Vishuddha chakra at the same time by touching the lullanum. **Speaker 2** And also this chakra has a good look at your head. It's all kind of interconnected. **Speaker 2** If you've ever had any kind of sinus disorder, you'll know that everything is connected. **Speaker 2** Like you can go from the canal in your ear all the way to your throat and you can go all the way up your nose. **Speaker 2** Like if you actually swallow something wrong, it comes out your nose, right? **Speaker 2** Well it's like that. The chakras are like that too. The channels are all interconnected at this point in your head. **Speaker 2** So if you trigger the Malana chakra it will have a redneck in another chakra. **Speaker 2** In the close-by chakras like the Ajahn chakra and the Vushyuta chakra. **Speaker 2** And that can be used even if you're not lengthening your tongue and touching it all the way to the Aslan chakra, **Speaker 2** you can still use it to maybe start to slow down your grosser emotional state. **Speaker 2** Like if you have some kind of, um, like if you're angry or you're, you know, you're way overly desirous of Anatole chocolate, um, you put your tongue in the back of your mouth and it's supposed to have this effect of lessening. **Speaker 2** Like, the best thing is the effects of the powers of the two side channels, basically. **Speaker 2** And it also can help you slow down your heartbeat. **Speaker 2** It can help you put your mind in a more meditative state. **Speaker 2** So you can use it. You can use it to get to a deeper state of meditation and then focus your mind on Muhammadah. **Speaker 2** Automatically anything that you do that triggers the Ajna Chakra is going to increase your meditative concentration. **Speaker 2** The power of your meditative concentration. **Speaker 2** If for instance you were trying to meditate and you were sleeping, you know, doing something with your Ajna Chakra would be a very good idea. **Speaker 2** You know, because it wakes up your mind. You know, it makes your mind sharper. **Speaker 2** If your mind is already sharp and you're a little too agitated, you don't want to mess with your ego. **Speaker 2** You need to know the facts. **Speaker 2** You need to know which mudras to call upon at which times of your meditative career. **Speaker 2** You need to be in tune enough with yourself to say, "Oh, I'm a little lethargic today. I'm sleepy. **Speaker 2** I need to focus my mind for a second. I need to practice Kichara Mudra and kind of wake up the Ajna Chakra a little bit and focus my mind. **Speaker 2** Or, you know, I'm too agitated. I'm all over the place. Better not to focus on any of the chakras in my head. **Speaker 2** Better to go down really deep and focus on the Trivendi below my navel and get myself really grounded. **Speaker 2** because my mind is thinking about all sorts of outline things and I need a good solid base. **Speaker 2** So, with experimentation of these certain mudras, you will start to learn how to utilize them to their fullest capacity according to your own daily needs. **Speaker 2** And that's how they should be used in order to help your practice. **Speaker 1** Naropa, Dr. Naropa and Nakuma, who are the grand fathers and grand lives and grand **Speaker 1** education of our immediate village. We have got, they taught very, very exciting **Speaker 1** in Chinese movement, which is a lifetime practice. It involves meditation, it involves certain **Speaker 1** physical practices. It involves something you do all day, in your office, or you're working, **Speaker 1** or in your family. It has all these components in it. It's the Kaccha practice, Kaccharian **Speaker 1** practice, the Banjo-Ryu practice, which was called Kaccharia. It's like the ultimate Kaccharia. **Speaker 1** This is one small element of Kaccharia here, but Kaccharia is a huge practice that you can **Speaker 1** immediate age. They spend almost all day on this HR, not much of it. So, we'll be talking **Speaker 1** more about that as we go. This is one, this is one percent of that time. There's a huge **Speaker 1** which we'll talk about, so we'll start to get a few more questions. **Speaker 1** And that is more than a minute to talk about. **Speaker 1** So we'll talk about that. We'll be talking about this tomorrow. **Speaker 1** Thank you again for $20. It's very important to the world. **Speaker 1** The world will thank you, not just me, by putting gifts in the world. **Speaker 2** One of the times we don't on how they would interact with you, it's a really beautiful kind of result actually for all of you who are actually out there with me. **Speaker 2** So, texts like these start to appear in your world and you start to get training on them **Speaker 2** as teachers are. And that's the reason that texts like these start to appear in your world. **Speaker 2** Because you help save the ancient texts and then they come to you. **Speaker 2** And that's the only way that texts can come to you. **Speaker 1** Thank you. **Speaker 1** Grogon Nandak Shingvatsukvarsyo **Speaker 1** Khyamurad
