We'll do it.
Smough, manala.
Thank you.
祈祷
Satsang with Mooji
Satsang with Mooji
So we'll start with the meditation.
I know you're pretty squished together in here,
but try and find your own nice seated space.
Get yourself into a comfortable position
and then don't move the body at all.
The idea of meditation is that you leave your gross outer body behind,
and you can't do that if you're still moving it, you know,
because it pulls you right back into the gross body.
So get comfortable and then let your body fall still.
Close your eyes and focus on the very tip of your nose.
Watch the air as it flows out and then back into the body.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Use this beginning practice of watching the breath to focus the mind onto a single point.
Then see your body now on the outside is made of light, nothing but light, immaculate, beautiful.
Inside the body completely hollow.
You can see it filled like the color of the blue sky or filled with a rainbow.
inside this outline of light.
Go all the way from the top of your head
down to the toes of your feet
and see inside everything empty, hollow.
Then there is a beautiful channel made of red light, translucent.
and golden red it's running all the way from your Mumadhar Chakra up to the Chakra at the
tip of your head. It is about the size of a large drinking straw but clear you can see
through it. So it travels straight all the way down from the tip of your head to the
base of your spine where then it curves slightly.
See it from the outside and then shrink yourself down and travel inside this tube of light.
Thank you.
At the lower opening of this channel is a red drop, whose nature is fire?
Thank you.
Simply focusing on this drop gathers the links there to that door.
At the upper opening of this tube of blood is a white drop at the tip of the head inside
channel.
This nature is bliss.
The red trap at the base of this tube travels upwards until it rests just above the base of the spine
at the level of the swadhisthana chakra for those of you who know.
It's about two inches above your tailbone.
and it starts to get blown.
so the drop becomes a flame that with each breath burns ever higher through
the channel
you are down inside them tube of light with this flame so every exhale becomes
the wind that makes the fire blaze hotter
The heat from your flame starts to rise up to the level of the heart, then the level
of tone.
The way it reaches the white drop at the tip of the head,
which starts to melt down.
The drop melts down the inside of the tube of light.
When it reaches the level of the throat, you have bliss.
When it reaches the level of the heart, you have great voice.
more places of earth, more elements, melts down, it falls from the heart to the navel.
You are the incredible bliss.
And as it falls down to reach the plane,
Your mind turns towards emptiness.
All the bliss you feel has no nature of its own.
He's not coming from your body, it's not coming from your winds, it's not coming from the drop,
It's not coming from the fire.
It is simply a mental image.
Forced on you.
By what you've done in the past.
And there's nothing beyond that.
Your mind is
completely
a wash in bliss and it's a bliss that doesn't exist.
Okay, you can open your hands.
So, you might not grasp the full meaning of that meditation,
but it's a good seed to plant.
Verse 64.
Pranapan nao nada bindi mula bhantena chaykatam gatva yogasya sansagin yachatdo natra sansraya.
The root lock makes the life wind and the wind of illumination as well as the inner sound
and the drop of consciousness become one.
With this, the yogi comes to the final attainment.
Of this there is no doubt.
So we're still on Mula Bandha, right?
In the verse it says Mula Bandena.
You know the word prana?
You know a lot of the words in this verse.
You know prana?
It's the life wind at the heart.
We talked about it yesterday.
And Apana, which is the downward-throwing wind at the lower area of the body.
Nada, what's Nada?
Inner sound.
What's Bindu?
What is it in the verse?
Drop of consciousness.
Right.
Chaykatam is cha-ekatam, which is, it means as one, it becomes as one, right?
So you can read the entire first half of this verse all by yourself,
without even knowing most of the Sanskrit.
You know all the Sanskrit words, right?
Okay.
I like to encourage the Sanskrit every once in a while.
It's a blessing for your mind.
So, we were talking about the root lock, the mulubanda, and the reason we use it, which is...
Reverse the flow of the downward moving wind, the apana vayu, right?
the main problem
with all of these winds
and channels and chakras
lies in our heart
you know
the two side channels
wrap around the central channel
and choke it
but at the
you know
at every single chakra point
you know
and that's what a chakra is
It's like these choke points of the two sides challenge.
But the one at the heart, we'll talk about that more,
but the one at the heart has three knots, you know,
and it's the hardest one to open.
And it actually, it divides the body into two halves.
So, like, it forces the life wind to stay at the level of the heart and above.
And it forces the downward moving wind to stay at the level of the heart and below.
It's like this great big knot that doesn't allow the passage of prana upwards or downwards from it.
So then we've got two separate halves of our body, you know.
You could call it like the male half and the female half.
You could say the male half is at the top and the female half is at the bottom.
And so there's a division.
And that's why this is talking about something becoming one.
You know, there's a problem with the division of the two winds in our body.
And there's a problem with the division of the...
You know, you can divide the body into left and right,
in which you have male and female energies.
Or you can divide the body into top and bottom,
in which you have male and female energies.
But either way, they're separated.
Either way, there's this friction, there's this division.
and so the practices of Mula Bandha
and the rest of the mudras that we're going to do
all entail reversing the downward clearing wind up
reversing the left wind down
and letting them come together somehow
and merge into one
either at the level of the navel or at the level of the heart
and then something really amazing and special happens when they do
So, the life wind is considered the wind of wisdom.
The downward moving wind, the apanavai, is considered the wind of love.
Or, you could say the wind of method.
You find it in scriptures in different ways.
But method usually means compassion and love, external activities of helping others.
So we get this combination of wisdom and love.
And it's essential that the two are combined.
Even in our external practice, it's essential that the two are combined.
You could think of the Apana Vayu and the Prana Vayu as just physical representations of your wisdom and your love.
But by themselves, they're not complete.
What happens if you have wisdom without love?
So you're sitting around, meditating on emptiness,
and you think, I don't have to worry about this war where everybody's getting killed
and people's families are being ripped apart and people's country is totally destroyed
and my country is at fault in this.
I don't have to worry about that
because I'm in deep meditation on emptiness.
And I don't have to deal with the pain of other people around me.
I'm just going to avoid it.
I'm just not going to think about it
because I have wisdom.
I have emptiness.
And I'm just going to go and meditate.
And there's a problem with that.
There's a problem with that.
You won't get very far in your wisdom if your heart is completely locked.
You know, because it's the heart opening that allows the wisdom to flow through your body.
Because the wisdom channel is the central channel.
And if the heart is blocked, like literally physically blocked and tied and knots,
then the wisdom won't be able to flow in that channel.
So, wisdom needs method. Wisdom needs love.
What happens if you have love without wisdom, though?
Which is what normally happens, you know, with people.
I have to do something to stop the war.
I have to do something to stop the pain.
I've got to go and stand at the front lines of the war and, like, you know.
It becomes impossible to help people.
If you have love without wisdom, it becomes impossible to help people because you think that things are happening outside of you.
You think that the war is happening outside of you.
So you have to do something external to stop it.
And there's not enough of you.
Like you're just one little person and there's this whole huge big war and like how are you going to stop it?
Like how are you going to like stand at the front lines and say no more fighting?
Is it going to work?
Now tell me, is it going to work?
probably not
I mean the first Pantan Lama did it
but I don't know
he did it after a very long meditation
it's true
but
it seems impossible
if we have love without wisdom
it seems impossible to help people
because we just don't have enough
of us
to go around
but if we understand
that every single thing in the world that we see around us, all the pain, all the fighting,
it's all coming from ourselves. Like it's all a projection from our own mind. You can
have so much love for people and say, God, I'm going to do anything I can to stop this
pain. And what I need to do is go inside. What I need to do is stop my own violence in
my own heart and all the all the ripples that I'm making of pain and violence and suffering in my
own heart and that will stop the war and then a single person has the power to change everything
you know um and then you can actually use your love to help people so like with either case you
If you have wisdom and not love, you won't do anything to help people.
You're going to just sit there not caring.
Like, yeah, maybe you know about emptiness, but you're not going to use it to help you.
But then with love without wisdom, you're powerless.
You've got so much in your heart, and you're like, God, I want to help them, but I don't know how.
But then you put it together.
You put wisdom and love together, and it's like you're invincible.
You can do anything.
You can change your entire world.
You can elect a new president.
You can, you know, right?
Good job, guys.
Good job.
Yay.
I don't know.
When that day, when he was elected, it was like, we were talking about it.
It was like the whole country was in joy.
It was like this big ripple.
We were in the middle of the desert, Diamond Mountain, you know,
And still we felt it.
I bet it was wild here.
In New York, I bet it was like insane.
But even in the desert, we felt all this joy of the whole country and the whole world.
Like something is shifting for the better.
Something really positive and powerful.
And you did that.
Your own seeds.
Your own practice.
And you can't think anything less.
Or you're not going to be able to help people.
Like, you caused that to happen.
You know?
And that's method and wisdom.
That's love and wisdom combined.
And that's what we're trying to do when we get the prana vayu and the apana vayu to merge within our bodies.
It's a metaphorical example.
It's a physical representation of combining love and wisdom within our heart.
And then, what actually happens when we, you know, work really hard inside,
and we force the, you know, sun tap, we use forceful means to push the prana vayu and the apana vayas together,
inside the central channel, inside the heart.
A dissolution happens.
You actually see the mental images that there are, all the mental images you see around you, your entire world.
It's all coming from the chakra inside your heart.
It's, they're all projections.
You know, everything you see, everything you hear, everything you sense, smell, taste, touch, it's all a projection.
Right?
When the winds start to gather in the central channel at the heart,
you watch your projections start to collapse inside.
Like everything starts to dissolve.
You watch the entire world, which is your entire world,
which is the only world that exists.
You watch it just start to collapse inside, inside of you,
and withdraw within.
It's a very, very powerful experience.
And everything withdraws into this drop at the heart.
First, you get the winds into the central channel.
Then you pull the winds up through the central channel into the heart chakra.
And then, you know, everything collapses into the heart.
Even your own body, you know.
It's a deceptive reality.
This is also a projection, right?
That's why we can change the body into light.
That's why we don't have to live with this dying, decaying, flesh-and-blood-heavy, gross, ugly body.
We can change it into something else.
Because it's also a projection, and it also collapses when we bring the two winds into the heart,
into the central channel.
You could call it the drop of consciousness.
You know, at the Bindu, that's what they're talking about in the verse.
sometimes they call it the drop of spring
when all the winds
have collected
inside this tiny drop at the heart
everything has dissolved
then you go into the clear light
what they call the clear light
then you see emptiness directly
then you are forced into a completely different reality
the ultimate reality
the true reality
the reality that's around us all the time but we never see
and
once you have entered into that reality
it is
only a very short period of time
until you change into an angel of light.
Because
you've witnessed
every single thing in your entire world
including your own body
including what you call you
to be just a mental image
just a projection.
And you've witnessed the collapse of it.
And you've entered into the truth.
And then once you've tasted that truth,
once you've known it,
you can't think of the world in the wrong way anymore.
It might still appear to you as coming from out there.
But you will know.
You will know the president was elected because of something you did.
And nobody could convince you otherwise.
You know, once you see this.
And then it becomes really fun.
Because then you just start to change your reality.
You know, you have the gift, you have the key
to start really changing your world.
In a radical, quick way.
Using these high practices of tantra.
Thank you.
Okay.
Okay.
Verse 66, chapter 3.
When the wind of illumination begins to move up,
it incites the disk of fire.
This thing creates a long tongue of flame
fueled by the wind.
I'm just going to read the English.
When the fire and the wind of illumination
become like this,
then the life wind too burns the same.
And with this spreads the light of incredible flame
throughout the body as well.
And the next verse,
This then heats the sleeping inner serpent as she awakens.
Hissing like a snake struck with a stick,
she straightens out her form.
So Lama Christi already covered this.
I'll tell you the names for it.
In Tibetan it's called bardzak.
Say bardzak.
Bardzak.
Bar means to burn.
Zak means to drip.
And this is a very famous practice in the yoga tradition as it came into Tibet.
So some practices survived longer in Tibet than in India, like Bhardzak.
And then some practices, like some asanas, survived longer in India than in Tibet, right?
So it's very nice to have both.
We're reuniting two lineages that got separated exactly a thousand years ago.
So you see all the elements in the verse, right?
I think one word you need to know is mandala.
You see, mandala,
related to the word mundane, right?
Or mundo in Spanish, right?
It means the world, right?
So mandala is the old word for the world
because the world was seen as a disk,
as a flat disk.
So mandala means a flat disk.
The sun was seen as a mandala,
the moon was seen as a mandala.
And then it came to mean a perfect world.
But in the study of the inner body,
mandala means when you get a red element
in the lower part of the body,
blazing and flaming up,
that disk of fire is called a mandala also.
So that's a mandala in the verse.
And then as it grows up the central channel,
a straight flame,
visualize it as a flame.
And then there's white element at the top
that Lama Christi will talk about.
And that melts down.
And then according to the text,
I mean, what you saw here was
there will be some awakening
of the inner serpent, right?
Kundalini.
In Tibetan they call it sandali.
Say sandali.
Which is the Sanskrit.
It's the more pure Sanskrit.
Sandali means
it's the same root
or candle
or incense
it's all the same root
sandba
to burn
to blaze
and then the kundalini straightens right
they say that the inner serpent straightens out
and I read all these strange like
descriptions about
oh you know
she's like three inches long
and then she gets like four feet long
and she might bite you or something
I don't know
There are lots of strange, strange descriptions of this process,
of the straightening of Kundalini, right?
The opening of the central channel.
So what would it feel like?
What would it really be like?
Do you see a snake?
Or is it metaphorical and you have some kind of wind coming up your channel?
What is Kundalini?
How does it waken when it straightens as if hit with a stick, right?
We did it sometimes in three-year retreat.
We had rattlesnakes. Sometimes we had three or four in the yard at the same time.
And you try to throw them out with an agave scoop, you know,
just like an eight-foot pole that you wouldn't touch them with, right?
And there's this art to it where you get under them and you flip them over the fence,
you know, it's a seven-foot fence, and you try not to have them land on you, you know.
And then they straighten up right away.
You hit them with a stick, and they straighten up.
They can go over the fence, seven-foot fence.
They just straighten up all the way
and then they'd flop over, you know?
And what does it mean when it straightens?
So I'm going to tell you a story
about straightening of a kundalini.
So I was living in a house.
I don't know, I was finishing college.
And I had gone to Dharamsala.
I had studied with many great lamas.
And I had come back to finish my degree, right?
Because the Dalai Lama told me personally
you have to finish your degree.
and I said, no, I want to stay here
and he said, you have to go back to the United States
and you have to finish your degree
I had like six months left, right?
and he said, no, you have to leave, you have to go back
and so I came back
and
I didn't have a place to stay
so I
I used to help at the Christian church
at my college
so I
I decided, I will
ambush the priest
minister, right?
And I will talk him into staying in their house,
because they had a three-story foundation house.
And they weren't using the upper story.
And I knew that.
So I said, I'll ambush him.
Then he just walked into the room one day.
And I sat down, and we had a coffee.
And then I said, gee, I need a place to stay.
And I don't know where I'm going to stay.
And then he said, well, we have an extra floor at the foundation.
And I'm like, okay.
And then he said, but you have to, you'll have to be the nanny for the two kids.
So I said, well, I don't have any money, I'll be the nanny.
And so he said, just two days a week, you have to be nanny for the kids,
and then you can stay in the house.
And that was the deal.
And you can use the washing machine on Thursdays and stuff like that.
And then, so I stayed in the house with their family.
And I remember when I was working really hard on Barzak, on Kundalini.
And so one day I came down to the living room on the bottom floor.
It's a very beautiful study that has been there 100 years or 150 years.
It's covered with beautiful books, you know, holy books,
and all paneled and wood and beautiful place, you know, like Princeton, you know.
And so I was sitting there, and the boy, the young boy, there's two boys, you know,
And he's like five.
And he's the troublemaker one.
There's one sweet one who later played...
What do you call it? Christmas girl.
He was the star.
What do you call it?
I don't remember.
I don't remember.
Anyway, he was the star.
He was the good kid.
The older kid was the bad kid.
And so the bad kid comes up to me.
And he says, I've got to show you something.
Mike, you know, and I'm like, okay.
and he gets a piece of paper
and the other kids in the
dining room
watching TV
and I can hear they're watching
what do you call it?
The Wizard of Oz
the annual Wizard of Oz
and then the kids
he very carefully draws
a marble
on the paper
and
by the way when Kundalini is rising in your body
you're sitting up straight all the time.
Sakyapandita said that.
No, it's true.
When Kundalini is rising in your body,
you just have this desire
to sit up straight all the time.
Perfect ramrod,
west point,
edge of the chair straight.
You're always straight.
Because Kundalini is rising.
So anyway,
I'm sitting there,
and he draws a marble,
perfect marble on this,
big marble.
And then he gets a camera.
and he's like five years old
and he goes click
and I said that's cool
you know
and then he opens the
the film
the place where the film is
and there's a marble in there
and he takes it out
and he goes like
day.
Then he says,
come with me.
And we go into the dining room
and the Wizard of Oz is over.
And
he's behind
the curtain
pretending to be this wrathful guy.
And then the dog
Toto
I don't know, you know, he drags the curtain to the side.
And so the wizard gets busted.
And then the tin man is standing there, right?
But you said, you know, you said you're a wizard.
You said you could give me love, you know.
So the younger brother is saying, sit down, Mike, look at this.
And then the wizard explains to the tin man that he always had love, right?
You always had it.
And I didn't give it to you.
It was just inside of you.
And I am a faith.
So, I think, if your Kundalini rises,
it's not impossible
that the world around you would shift slightly
and that
people all around you would be teaching you about emptiness
about where things come from
and about love
and
I think
if your kundalini rose
I think you might be having
special experiences in your life
that don't have anything to do with your
you know, with being in
in a certain asana
you see what I mean?
so
I think you have to
be open
to think that the rising of kundalini
might affect your whole
life
and every experience you're having
around you.
You see?
It will make your body straighter.
But then
radical changes will occur in your life.
Right around you.
With supposedly normal people.
And that's the rising of Kundalini.
¿Ok?
So,
Some of these practices found in the third chapter,
like the one we just talked about,
some of them have to do with just sitting down in meditation on your own
and visualizing certain things happening inside your inner body.
Other practices, and these are going to be covered in the next couple of days,
have to do with working with an outside partner
in order to induce the same kind of things within your inner body.
And I don't know.
In this society, there are really strange cultural mores around that.
And so, before we get into those weird verses of the Hatha Yoga Pradipika
that some people don't even...
Like, some people have actually taken those verses out of the Hatha Yoga Pradipika
and printed books without it because they said,
oh, these are impure verses or something like that, you know?
And it's because they weren't fully explained and they weren't trained in the practices
and they didn't quite understand what was being talked about.
So what we're hoping in addressing this is that just to talk a little bit about what we're going into now
and mainly talk about the motivation for these other verses, you know.
Like, there will be some really, I don't know, strange stuff maybe you've never seen before.
And to put it in perspective in your mind, like, what's the reason that Master Swatma Rama,
after writing about yoga asanas, after writing about pranayama, after writing about all those kriyas,
after writing about all those different mudras, he puts in something about practice with a partner.
Why does he do this?
And why is it in the place that it is within his book?
It's again what we were talking about, this wisdom and love.
I went home to see my family a year ago,
And my dad, his heart was having trouble.
And, like, I don't know, two out of the four valves of his heart stopped working.
And he had to get it artificially started again.
And then, like, you know, they just, like, do some sort of electric thing.
And then if it works, it's okay.
And if not, they have to put you on all these drugs.
And, like, I don't know.
It was really disturbing to me because my parents are always, like, untouchable.
You know, these beings that took care of me.
And then now the situation is reversed and they're getting older and my mom starts to get diabetes.
And then all this stuff is happening to the people I love.
I'm seeing them in pain and I'm seeing them start to die, really.
And I love them.
And I want to help them more than I even want to help myself.
Like I can deal with my own pain.
I'm sort of in denial about my own pain.
I'm like, yeah, yeah, pain's pain.
But if I see people I love, you know, really, really hurting, that just braced my heart.
And that just makes me want to work so hard in my practice to help them.
It's like, okay, I love you.
I love you, Mom.
I love you, Dad.
I'll do anything to help you.
You know, I'll do anything.
And then, you know, you start studying the scriptures.
And you start learning about, well, what's the different ways you could help your parents, you know?
What's the different ways you could help the people that you love around you?
And once you get to the higher teachings, they level with you.
They say, you know, actually, working with your inner body and emptiness is the very fastest way to help people.
Because it's the fastest way that you yourself can change into a holy angel.
And that's the only way you can truly help another person,
is by changing yourself, is by evolving into the being you're supposed to be yourself first.
So then you can really help people.
And of all the methods of working with your inner body and channels and working with emptiness,
the very fastest way is with a partner.
So, if you were somebody who really loved the people around you,
and if you were somebody who really wanted to stop your own parents' pain,
as quickly as you possibly could, you would have to learn this practice.
You would be driven to learn this practice.
And you would be obligated to practice it to the best of your capacity.
As soon as you could, because you love them.
Because they need you.
Because they're waiting for you.
And because you're the only one who can save them.
In your world, you know.
It's all coming from you.
So, this practice, the practice of working with an external partner,
is the most powerful way to affect your inner winds and channels.
And it's also a very, very powerful way to open your heart, you know, and learn how to love somebody.
And learn how to get real devotion in your heart.
And it's also the best, fastest way to trigger the direct perception of emptiness.
Because it's so powerful, you know, your inner body and the winds,
The practice of the winds are so powerful.
But you do need to be trained.
You do need to have a lot of training in order to practice this.
And you need to learn how to meditate.
You need to learn how to get your mind on a single point when you're watching your breath without it leaving
and going to somebody else in the room or going out the door or going to your house.
Like it needs to be here for a good period of time.
in order for you to be able to practice higher teachings like that.
And then you need to learn how to, you know,
you need to study about emptiness a lot.
A lot, a lot, a lot.
Thousands of hours, you know.
So, they call this practice the blissful path to bliss, right?
This practice of a partner.
because you're, like in the meditation that we did,
you're using a state of bliss within your own body
and you're using that as your meditative object.
And, you know, as the central channel opens,
of course it's going to be blissful, you know?
Of course.
As you start turning into an angel being of light,
of course it's going to be blissful.
What else did you think was going to happen?
You know, they're in total bliss all the time.
But it's hard for us to wrap our minds around that.
Most of us feel like when we are within that state of bliss, we're not helping other people.
That's not a cultural thing that we can grasp very easily.
It's hard for us.
It's hard for us to realize that putting ourselves in the most blissful situation in the whole world
could actually be the most beneficial to every single other being on the planet.
But I will tell you something that will maybe make it easier for you to grasp.
What happens in the world as your own anger starts to diminish?
What happens?
The violence in the world starts to decrease.
And the anger of the people around you, you stop seeing people angry around you.
Right?
So if you eradicated anger in your own heart completely, what kind of world would you live in?
You would live in a world where there was no violence at all.
So, what's the implication of that when we're talking about putting yourself into a state of total bliss?
And when you're talking about putting yourself in a state where you understand emptiness better and better and better?
Right, right.
The world is just a mirror.
It makes perfect sense, actually, that to get ourselves in a state,
to get ourselves to complete, total, enlightened bliss
would be the best thing that the world has ever seen.
Because you're going to take them all with you.
Right?
I mean, if it's true that I can eradicate anger in the world,
I can eliminate all violence by eliminating the violence in my own heart,
then it's true that putting myself in a state of total bliss will help every single being.
Right?
You need some training to do it.
But, like, that's the basic theory.
Like, don't just like, I don't know, love what Christy said.
You know, like, don't do that.
Don't do that.
Like, you have to learn how to do it.
But it's the general principle behind these teachings.
And it's hard to, it really is hard to wrap our minds around that saving my dad's heart.
I could save my dad's heart.
I could change my mom's health.
problems with her diabetes by, um, by doing a practice that makes me totally happy, you know?
Like, usually you think, uh, in order to work for other people, you gotta, like, sweat and slave,
and, you know, it's like, yeah, there's some of that too. It's, it's not a, um, partner practice
is not easy, you know? And when it comes right down to it, it's not easy. But, uh, but it's,
There are those blissful moments.
Sometimes in the stress of day-to-day life.
You and Farb between.
Just kidding.
So that's our motivation.
When you start to see these weird verses in the next couple of days,
Remember, you know, they are written down with the motivation of bringing our own selves to total enlightenment
so that we can bring the whole world to enlightenment with us.
And keep that in mind so that your mind doesn't go off onto some weird place about them.
And, you know, it's not like we are going to be telling you, like, you have to practice them or this or that or the other thing.
but we do want to cover all of Master Swatma Rama's verses in the Hatha Yoga Pradipuka
to make it a full teaching.
And we don't believe in skipping those particular verses.
So we will cover them in like a light way, you know?
And we just don't want you to freak out and run out the door when we do it.
Okay?
All right?
So, like, just keep in mind that there are very deep practices.
They require a lot of training.
And the motivation for putting them in that book is totally pure.
It's to get to a state of enlightenment as quickly as possible.
Okay.
"Kantam ākun ca hrdāye sthapayas cibukam dargham bandho jamandara kya yam jaramartya vinasyaka
Jara means old age
geriatrics
this is now reading 2
chapter 3 verse 70
first page of reading 2
which was Tuesday
I like the Jara murk dear
he's telling you
you do this one bandha
and you can get rid of Jara
which is related to geriatrics
meaning old age
and
mirtyu
like mortuary
mortal
death worth
okay
so how does Jalandhara do this?
let's talk about Jalandhara
the Tibetans have an interesting translation
for Jalandhara
they call it
Zalandhara
okay
Dronunciation, a thousand years ago.
It wasn't ja, it was za.
Say zalandara.
Zalandara.
And you see two spellings, which is important,
because one is jalanbara and one is jalanbara.
And I used to struggle with it,
because they mean completely different things.
Jala, if you say long a jala,
It means a net or a network or a trap, sometimes a trap.
A net used as a trap, like that, or a network of light.
It's called a java.
And then dhara means to hold, right?
Like dharma means to hold.
The word tree comes from that.
The word true comes from that.
The word farm comes from that,
because they were all holdings or they were firm in the ground.
The word true comes from tree.
Druid comes from that
true vid
one who sees the dru
but then there's jala
like what's ganda jala
water from the holy ganges
right
like you go to Varanasi
and people are running up to you
they want to charge you 10 rupees
for ganda jala
they just took out of the ganda
you know
so jala short aid means water
I think, and you see both spellings in the text,
and you see both explanations.
I think it's jala short A,
because it's accusative, jalan.
Like, there's a good example in,
what's bhujangasana?
Bujangasana.
What's bhujanga?
But what's bhujanga mean?
Yeah, bhujangasana means arm.
and ga means to go
so in Tibetan they call langdo
to go on the arm
why?
because the snake has no arms
they travel on their arm
you see?
they're called bujan ga
or langdo in Tibetan
to go on the hand
so bujan is
accusative
going on the
and you want to say buja anga
and it's wrong
it's bhujan
ja
right
and it's jalan
dara
you see
so it means to hold the water
right
that
it
it holds the water
and we'll see later why
like this lark or this seal
is meant to hold the water
some kind of nectar in your body
okay jalan
dara
say jalan
dara
okay
uh
to say how to do it?
Yeah.
Okay.
We have three-year retreat, right?
Which is a really good time
to memorize the text
and you don't have anything else to do.
And also you can try
all the weird bandhas and kriyas
and mudras
because you've got all day.
You've got nothing else to do.
You can spend three weeks
on jalandhara
and you don't feel like stressed at all.
Because there's absolutely nothing else to do.
Just eat and meditate
and explore your inner body.
So three years is a really good time for that.
Because there's absolutely no stress.
Like you've got to get somewhere in a thousand days.
You know, so...
You know, now you can waste a couple of weeks on Jalandara.
And so, you know,
I would just say some practical things
about my own experience of Jalanda, right?
In retreat, because we worked on it for a long time.
What you...
Jalanda is a chin lock, right?
So basically you can think of it
as moving your chin to your sternum, right?
I like Jiva Mukti, David and Sharon often say,
don't lower your chin to your sternum,
bring your sternum up to your chin.
And that helps a lot.
that's a nice advice
and then there's this tendency
I think with most of us
you know when you
hold your breath to go underwater
you have an underwater contest with your brother
and you're like
and then you
dive under and you see how far you can get
try it
it's from the neck up
it's air
in the sinuses, in the cheeks, in the head.
Try it.
Now, there's a tendency to want to do that with Jalandana.
Then you get all this prana,
all this physical breath
connected to the prana.
You don't fill up your chest,
you fill up your head,
and your sinuses, and your cheeks.
And you go,
Oh!
And then you get these incredible prana headaches.
if you haven't had them
you'll learn
and
because the whole thing is wrong
the place where the retention is
is wrong
you're trying to do what
with a Jalandhara
I'll give you a clue
Mula Bandha was to reverse
the flow of the downward clearing wind
by pressing on the perineum
so what's the purpose of Jalandhara?
Yeah, to reverse the flow of the prana vayama
and try to force it down somehow.
So if you get all the air up here and then you go like this,
you're just keeping it up.
You see what I mean?
So you have to think of, for me,
what I learned after months of trouble
is this very beautiful thing of,
it's like in ballet,
and they teach you
like a plie
is only a few inches of movement
with your knee, right?
Like you're going down just a few inches.
But it takes a whole breath, right?
So they're drilling into you.
Don't go,
you know, go
match the breath to the movement, right?
Even if the movement's only a few inches, you see?
So it's harder when it's only a few inches.
Like to go from, what is it, Dandasana to Chaturanga or something,
to go down in one whole breath, gracefully, is almost impossible for people.
You see?
To run out of breath when your chest is an inch from the floor or something,
instead of going like that and then let the breath out, you know,
is very difficult.
People can't do it, right?
So that's the idea with Jalandara.
Try to time the movement of the chin to your exhale.
or if you're doing an inhale
to the inhale
so it would be like this
instead of going like
it would be something like
you see
and it's a ballet thing almost
But what happens is, the prana gets exactly in the right place for your body.
Instead of getting in the head,
if you time the breath, try, okay?
We'll do an inhale together.
On three.
E, do, ting.
And then it's right, okay?
Then it's right.
And then the retention or the prana is being held between the throat and the heart.
So try to think like that.
If you feel a headachy feeling, if you feel a throbbing,
they call it nakamkam.
Say nakamkam.
Nakamkam in Tibetan means prana headache.
Kamkam.
It means a dry headache.
And it's a feeling you get because the prana is being held in the wrong place.
So for Jalandhara, you're trying to draw it here,
and then trap it, Jalandhara, like that.
That's about all I have to say about Jalandhara.
Oh, one more thing I was thinking to tell you.
I like to do Jalandharas.
You can press on your Mula Bandha, right?
and both of the Mula Bandhas
are reflected in Guruji's first series
where?
Jumrasya Shasana
in the first two of the three Jumrasya Shasanas
one is
the first method of Mula Bandha
which is you're pressing your perineum
with the heel or the side of the foot
and then one is where you're sitting on the
sometimes I sit on the ankle bone
you can feel the ankle bone sticking up into your anus
and that's the second Mula Bandha
so he's got it built into the series
but consider that you could do a
Mula Bandha
and the related
Jalandhara
how?
more cool than that
I like to do it the second way
I mean
what would be a good way to put a lot of pressure
on the throat chakra
at the back of the middle.
A shoulder stand.
And then what happens to the
downward clearing wind?
It's reversed automatically.
I like that.
I think it's a lot more fun.
Gravity's working for you.
You don't have to do anything.
You don't have to like
press your head down
or anything like that.
So think about that.
It's a perfect
it's a perfect jalandhara
and a mula bandha.
much easier
for me much easier
I can sit there all day
and just enjoy it
right
so
think about it
okay
verse 71
This lock seals the network of channels in the downward flow of rain from the sky.
Thus it is the water catcher, and it stops all problems with the flow in the throat.
Before we go into the verse, just because I was just looking at all these beautiful Sanskrit verses,
there are a couple people in the class who really worked very, very hard to put this reading together.
One of them is Andrea Lemon, and she's in the back over there.
Raise your hands.
She basically laid out all the reading, every single verse in the Sanskrit,
and made sure that it was all perfect for you.
and wrote the pronunciation for everybody.
And it was really, she did an excellent, excellent job.
And it's the second time?
Third time.
It's the third time that she's done it.
It's the third course that she's done this for.
So please, like, if you see her, thank her.
Give her a big hug.
We could never have done it without you.
So, okay, thank you.
and then
yeah Lama Maru helped her check it
so we didn't have to go through so much
anyway so thank you for that
who is
Andrea's Sanskrit teacher anyway
so it's all this nice little marriage
and then
Ian helped with the key words
so I'd like to thank him for that
there's a lot of people helping with the homeworks and quizzes and masters
Ian's also helping with that or is helping to archive the whole course so that you guys can
teach it later once you become YSI certified teachers and you can get all the materials
and Narayani and like a bunch of other people are helping to print it every day for you and I just
like to thank...
Narani and Nicole Sanderson and
Mira and Alyssa
are helping to get the
materials out to you every single day.
So I'd like to thank them also.
They get it at like one in the morning
and they've got to go run around.
I know we should wait to thank them all at the end
but I just...
There's no harm in thanking twice
I just really think that you guys should all know
who's doing all the work for you and appreciate it.
And I think it's important to say that we were turned on to this book
in the beginning by David Leifenshire Gannon.
And they're not here, but we'd like to thank you.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And I don't know if you know, but John Brady, Christina,
they have, ACIP has a project at Kaivalya Dham.
which is the oldest traditional yoga school in there.
And they're inputting like 20,000 Sanskrit texts on yoga.
And so we have 17 editions of the Hatha Yoga Padivaka to work from.
So that's because of their kindness.
So thank you.
Okay.
After that little tangent.
So, this is talking about kanta.
Say kanta.
Kanta.
Kanta means the throat in Tibetan.
It's Jympa, and that's your key word for the day.
And we're going to talk about the throat chakra, which is, I don't know, it's a little bit of a review for you guys, but it's fun anyway.
So, throat chakra in Sanskrit is called Vishuddha chakra.
Shud, do you know Shuda?
It means pure, right?
It's from a root, Shud, which means to purify.
That originally came from the words Fad, which means sweet.
And you get the English word sweet and persuade and hedonistic.
All these things relate to pure, right?
then V means very much
then in Tibetan
what's the throat chakra called?
some of you in this class have got to know
chakra experience, that's the
English
it's the English translation of the Tibetan
I was not looking for that, I was looking for the actual Tibetan
And if anyone knows it, you can just feel free, shout it out.
Thank you.
Long Choo Ki Korlo.
Say Long Choo.
Long Choo Ki.
Ki.
Korlo.
Korlo.
And that means chakra of experience.
Why do they call it chakra of experience?
Because in the most basic sense, this is where we experience the different tastes of our food.
You know?
Then, the reason they call it the chakra of purity, you know, is because this is where you take all the food and you separate, the body separates the dross from the pure essence of the
food.
And it then, from the throat chakra, starts to deliver the pure essence of the food to the rest of the body.
it's the purifying, you know,
it's like the level of where the food passes
and it gets purified, the essence.
They call it dhamma in Tibetan, the purified essence.
It's a beautiful word.
Gets distributed to all the different cells throughout the body
and then the rest of it goes down and gets eliminated, right?
So this is the point in which that happens.
And that's why they call it the Vishuddha Chakra.
The Vishuddha chakra or the longchukkola in Tibetan is connected as the people who came with us in some panchosa with a certain angel, which is Amitabha.
Amitabha. And what is Amitabha's specialty?
Amitabha is the angel that purifies our ignorant desire.
And there's a connection between the chakra and the throat and the nanis or the channels that run within our legs.
As we saw some of you in the series.
I know some of you are learning this week, the Tibetan Heart Yoga Series 7.
So you'll start to talk about that.
how there is a connection between the chakra at the throat,
which relates to purifying your ignorant desire,
and the specific channels in your legs
that also relate to maybe where you hold all your ignorant desire,
and how to purify that.
So, the Shuddha chakra, how many petals does it have?
16. Thank you.
What does it mean when we say petals?
I mean, I don't know if everybody in this audience knows.
The, um, the, we'll talk about how the side channels wrap around the central channel,
But that creates a knot, and that makes certain channels kind of poke out, like, from that area.
From that knot, like, it's because of that tension between the three channels.
Like, other channels start to shoot out.
And, like, the first four channels will shoot out in these directions, and then four will shoot up from there.
And then, like, a channel, you know.
Eight more shit out from those.
I can add, okay.
And then you get 16.
And all the chakras are kind of like little umbrellas.
So, like, the chakra at the tip of the head, the spokes of the wheel, which we call petals,
but really they're channels, you know, that come out from the knots.
The ones at the top of the head, they turn slightly down.
And then the ones at the throat, they turn slightly up.
Right?
So they kind of, this area kind of forms a network.
And actually the channels go out farther than just those, you know,
you just see them as pictured like this, you know.
The reason that they're pictured, all these pretty petals,
it's from a point of view of maybe looking down through the central channel
from the tip of your head
that's when you would see them and they would look like these pretty little channel petals
really they're like spokes and they come out all the way to the ends of your body
and beyond, I mean if you want to say that you're creating the entire world
I mean your channels go beyond that
but that's a little bit much for today
But, no, they, so, they start from all the crucial points at your body, from all these different chakras, and then they spread, and that's what created your entire body, right?
The chakras came first, the channels and chakras came first, and then the body formed around it, like an outer shell, around all these networks of channels.
So it's very interesting to start at the source of your body and learn the different chakras and how they were formed and what they look like.
Because it's this essential part of you and what makes you up.
So Vishuddha chakra is triangular, which is to say if you were staring from the tip of your head and you look down at it, the shape of the petals as they came out of it, the shape of the
channels would roughly look triangular in shape as they branched out.
Versus like the one at the tip of the head, which looks roughly round in shape, right?
As it branches out.
And we're going to talk about the red and white elements,
but this particular chakra has a predominance of red element.
And this particular chakra is also the chakra that's related to the dream state.
So if you wanted to fall into some kind of semi-conscious, dream-like state,
one practice in the Tibetan text and the Indian text sources as well,
say you could focus on this chakra, on this particular chakra,
and you could drop your consciousness down to it,
And then that will give you a certain different kind of consciousness.
It's like a dream state consciousness,
which is useful for certain types of meditation.
Like you could go into a dream state consciousness,
but still maintain your awareness.
And that would be a desirable thing.
And we're sort of training someone in that,
with certain meditations at Diamond Mountain.
We're having fun with that.
What else do I have to talk to you about?
This is an exciting throat chakra.
It's related to when we do om ah hum.
You know, the chakra at the throat is related to the ah, which is enlightened speech.
So, if you were thinking about being a teacher, you know, you'd want to, for instance, like work a little bit on your throat chakra.
And like, so that the wisdom that you had in your heart would be able to flow out better.
And that's what they say is the most valuable quality of an enlightened being.
Like, if you met an enlightened being, the thing you'd want to bow down to most about them is their ability to teach you, right?
Their ability to pass on the knowledge from their heart to yours, and they can only do that through their speech, right?
So that's, like, the most valuable thing.
So, you know, when you are thinking about yourself, maybe in the future, as that holy enlightened angel,
sometimes stop and think about how, like, what it would feel if your throat chakra was completely open,
and you had this power of divine speech.
Like, what would that be like?
To have wisdom pour out effortlessly from your mouth,
to every living being in exactly the way that they needed to hear it
at exactly the time they needed to hear it.
It's a beautiful city.
It's a beautiful quality, spiritual quality to have.
And that's all encased in the throat chakra.
Okay.
We're going to take a break.
I have two small announcements.
And if you're having a class,
and you're teaching a class in the next month or two,
and you'd like us to announce that,
please feel free, okay?
But there's a Shantideva on Wisdom,
ninth chapter,
most difficult subject in the universe.
Anabal Chisholm has the,
has the, what do you call it,
courage to take it on.
And she'll be teaching it Friday, December 12th,
Saturday, December 13th, Sunday the 14th,
and Monday the 15th.
You don't have to come to the mall.
It's free.
It's at the three jewels in the evening.
And Venerable Ningbo, who's right here,
is offered to teach Buddhist Debate,
a crash course on murdering ignorance,
at the New York Center for Alexander Technique on Broadway.
And that'll be November 23rd, Sunday, 7 to 8.30.
And that's also free by donation.
So those are both out there and you can pick them up.
Yeah.
Yesterday we were...
I know.
Oh, okay.
Maybe that?
Thank you.
I just wanted to make sure.
Yeah.
We have to get the C-A-K-E ready.
You're too S-L-O-W, Anatole.
Anatole and I are great.
Let's talk about something else.
We're on the same time.
Right.
Anatole.
We quit, quit.
Let's start.
Oh.
Can I have an announcement?
Can I make an announcement?
We have an announcement.
We have a vital, important announcement.
Oh, the suspense.
all those of you
who have
Vajray Gini initiation
have to talk to Rob Haggerty
before he leaves tonight
that's all
that's it?
that's the vital order
if you're in Austin
of the week of December
5th
you want to catch
where's Kelly?
Kelly Roadhouse is doing a Tibetan Heart Yoga training.
If you want to know the schedule for ACI New York,
these are all,
these are 18 different courses
that we study in the monastery for 20 years.
And they are doing them in New York City for free.
So if you want to turn out like us,
That was a joke
That was a joke
You can pick up one of these schedules
Outside?
Right?
Yes
Yeah
Okay
Alright
Alright we're going to do a little more actual class
British debate
We finished that
Okay
Dve na gyaos tamvay durdam
Madhya chakram miram zneyam
Verse 73
Shoda shabdara bandhanam
It's page 5 of your reading.
This same contraction of the throat, meaning
Zalandara
firmly. One then gains an experience
of that middle center for it locks the
seat of the sixteenth.
What's the seat of the sixteenth?
Yeah, Lava Kristi
just covered it, okay? It's the
Vishuddha chakra or the long chukki korda.
I wanted to talk about freezing up the two
side channels.
Those of you who have the Vajrayogiri
initiation, you're doing this
eight verses, right?
Om Stam Mani Mohani
Okay?
that stump bunny
came into English as stump
and it means
thick
thick and thick
like a stump in the ground
sorry
you have to explain to the people who are not
we have a
director named David Stahl
but anyway
so if you stump bunny something you freeze them
In Tibet it's rangba.
It means you literally freeze them.
Like they were moving and now you stamba them and then they stop.
So stambani for the two side channels means
when you take a proper zalandara,
you can freeze the two side channels.
So what are the two side channels?
We're going to do a little side channel review, okay?
Say ida.
And pingala.
Iida.
Pingala.
So, Ida, Ida means, which side is that, left?
Left.
Left side.
Your left side.
Ida, there's a big debate about it, but I found it in an ancient scripture.
It means a sheep.
In Tibetan, they call it a lukta, and it means colored like a sheep.
So, Ida means a dull white color like wool.
And then, that's on the left side.
In the Tibetan, they call that kyanma.
or Roma.
Khyangma.
Khyangma means the solitary channel
on the left side,
running down the left side.
A dull white color.
And then on the right side,
you can say pingala.
Pingala.
Pingala.
Pingala.
Which is related to the English word pink,
which means it's a rusty red color.
They call it a rusty red.
An orange red color.
But the idea is to think of them
as matte color.
They're not lively.
They're not exuding light.
They are like painted red
and painted white.
Whereas the central channel,
as Lama Christi gave you
in the meditation,
is this golden red
that you can picture it
as a golden red
like a fire,
like a flame from a campfire.
Okay, like that.
Then the two side channels,
they come up alongside
the central channel.
central channel in the Tibetan tradition is considered
about half an inch in front of the
spine.
And then two side
channels come up on either side of it.
And then,
do you have a rosary? Anybody have a rosary?
I have a dagger.
I know.
I need, you know,
so in the monastery
they always teach it with the
Yeah, yeah, I know.
No, underhand.
Okay.
in the monastery
they always teach it this way
they wave a rosary in front of your face
and they say
there's the idola
there's the pingala
and there's the central channel
and then they start crossing
then they start crossing
so in the monastery
they start doing this
there's where
say they would cross
at the throat
at the throat chakra
and they create the chakra
right
spurts out because of the choke of the two side channels.
At the heart, there's a triple knot.
Three times around, and then it goes back to that side.
If this were the ida, it would cross over the central channel,
and then around, and then back again to the side.
So that's what's happening with your channels.
Inside the channels, prana is...
I learned that from Rob Haggerty,
but I'll tell you that later.
Think of all the prana in your body
as a limited amount of prana.
There's only so much prana in your body.
The two side channels
and the central channel, you can think of
as joining in a flange
four sores,
four finger widths below the navel
and back,
towards the back.
You can think of them as joining like pipes
under your sink, hot water, cold water
and then the main pipe, right?
And they join there.
So prana is shared generally between
the side channels and the central channel.
If prana starts to slide
out of the central channel,
the two side channels get fatter.
If prana goes out of the side channels
into the central channel,
the two side channels get thinner.
And then that's desirable.
So when prana runs into side channels,
you have negative thoughts.
By definition.
Because the prana carries the thoughts.
Say lung, sem, jupa, chipa.
Lung sem, jupa, chipa.
very, very famous when you study
prana in the monastery.
Your prana and your thoughts
are jupa-chipa, means they are linked
like a horse and a rider.
They are linked together.
Where one goes, the other will go.
You can use that principle
to control your emotions.
If prana in the side channels
means that you're having
negative emotions,
then if you did physical asanas
that forced the prana into the central channel,
you could become kinder,
For a while.
Alright?
For a while.
And that's what a yoga session does for you.
After two hours of yoga, you feel more relaxed.
I try to sit down and shove asanas sometimes at the beginning,
and nothing happens.
Like, I don't feel anything.
Like, I just sit there, thinking, you know.
And then you sit down at the end of the session,
and you feel all this bliss, you know.
So, it's because yoga asanas are designed to move prana,
out of the side channels into the center channel.
What kind of thoughts are running in the two side channels?
Yeah, anger, jealousy, upsetness,
running through the right-hand channel,
a male energy.
And then through the left-hand channel,
possessiveness, desire, wanting things.
So, if I get angry at somebody,
if I feel jealous of someone,
then prana is physically leaking out of the central channel
and moving over to the right-hand channel, right?
And like a children's balloon,
you know those balloons where they make an animal out of balloons,
and you squish the leg and then the head gets fatter, right?
So if the central channel,
if prana goes out of the central channel into the side channel,
what happens to the knot?
It gets tighter.
It gets worse.
then more prana gets choked out of the central channel
into the side channel, then what happens
it gets knotted up, worse
we call sansara, say sansara
sansara means a downward cycle
you get a little jealous
prana moves into your right hand channel
it tightens the knot
then more prana is forced out of your central channel
more prana goes into the side channel
it creates a worse knot
so then jealousy builds on itself
and then like three days later you can't sleep
you know
like that, so this is how prana
is moving to your body
now what did he promise about this stambami thing
what did he say in the verse
you can stambama
you can freeze the two side channels
do a good
zalandhara lock
I like
I prefer a shoulder stand
if you're having
negative emotions,
you can freeze them.
Temporarily, you can freeze them.
And then, you know,
as soon as you come out of the shoulder stand,
it's going to start flowing again
on the side channels.
But it gives you a breathing space, right?
Like, I had a friend who had really bad depression.
And I was, like, coaching her
and advising her.
And then she finally said,
I'm just going to a...
What do you call it?
Psychiatrist to give her a job.
No, we spent a week there.
Uh-oh.
you know, like a
rehab
yeah, she went to rehab
and they gave her all these heavy drugs
and I was really upset because I'm like
I'm a good Buddhist teacher, I don't cost anything
and
you know, you're going to take all these drugs
and you know
you can all do it yourself, you know
you can do it with your own mind, you know
but then she came out and she said
it was a good thing
and the rehab worked for her
because it gave her some breathing space
you know like for one week
on the drugs
she wasn't depressed
you know
and then she broke out of the depression
like the samsara
she got enough
wind into the central channel
that she could break out of the depression
so what happens
stambani
when you freeze the two side channels
okay so it's not going to last forever
you can't stand your shoulder stand your whole life
although some people have tried
but it gives you some
it allows you to break the cycle
It helps you break the cycle.
Stumbani, the side channels, a little bit.
And then maybe when you come out of the yoga that afternoon,
you can control your jealousy for the evening.
And like that.
And then you create an opposite sun sign.
You create an upward cycle.
More product moves into the central channel.
It gets fatter.
The other two start to atrophy.
And in fact, enlightenment is sometimes called
Tishin Jong.
Say Tishin Jong.
Abba Duti.
Abba Duti.
Abba means off.
Duti means throw it off, get it off.
It's like, this is Abba Duti.
What is Abba Duti a name for?
That central channel is called Abba Duti.
You will learn there's Abba Duti Gita, right?
There's a whole song to Abba Duti in Sanskrit.
It's the central channel.
But the name of the central channel,
you can call Sushumna,
but you can also call Abba Duti.
Abuduri means, get them off of me already.
Throw them off.
Meaning what?
Those two side channels.
Which are called chishing also in Tibetan.
Chishing means ivy.
Like it's crawling up your central channel.
And you have to rip it off.
You have to get it abuduri-ed.
Abuduri-ed by stumbunning a little bit.
With a jalan dung.
Got it?
I think there's a rap song in there.
You guys get going on it.
I can't do this in five minutes.
I can't do this.
Yeah.
Do it tomorrow?
Maybe.
Do you have anything else to say?
No, it's like huge.
All right.
We're not going to even try to do the white element
because it will take too long.
So we'll do it tomorrow.
One last announcement.
To remind you again,
we're having a party here a week from Saturday
to release a really beautiful,
huge 500-page art book.
And we would like you guys to come,
but you've got to RSVP because it's almost full.
And there's a card that they're going to hand out after this class.
And that gets you, I don't know, it gets you to the party RSVP.
And then there's an after-party party.
But you have to go to the party to go to the after-party
We're not telling you where the after party is now.
Shami's doing this thing where he's blackmailing everybody,
and you don't get to go to the after party unless you RSVP for the main party.
But I think the after party's going to be more fun.
And it'll probably go until dawn, I suspect.
So anyway, the other cool thing is this card has a pure yoga,
offered all of you a free yoga class.
Yay!
And it's on the cards.
It's on the cards.
You have to give the card to somebody,
you can come for a class.
Otherwise, you have to pay a $400
more immersion,
$120.
There's also a poster,
and if you like,
they're going to give these away.
If you have a yoga studio
or someplace you can hang it,
you can give these for the exhibit.
The painting you see
is an interpretation of
Jetsakapa meeting his spiritual partner,
and it was done by Ori Karen.
Thank you.
Can you say one thing about yoga classes?
No.
Thanks for coming, everybody.
And those of you who are registered for the full course,
you can buy for an additional $100 an unlimited pass for yoga classes here at Pure
throughout the duration of this course, which is a great deal because they're $35 a pop.
So that's also available for people taking a full course.
Makes you want to work here, right?
All the yoga instructors are like, hmm.
You're yoga, huh?
Right?
I knew that's what you were thinking.
Yeah, we'll do a mandala.
Oh, by the way, just before we start,
A lot of people have been coming and telling me that they're teaching all of this stuff that we teach inside of their yoga classes.
And I'd really just like to thank you for that.
Because the thing that we want most in the world is just to pass on this information to other people
so that it can really benefit their lives and change their lives.
And make the world a better, purer place and make everybody happy.
That's really all we want.
And you're facilitating that mission every time you speak about it, you know, in any kind of small way.
You know, if you can talk about the inner body or if you can talk about karma and emptiness in some way.
As you're teaching, I know so many of you have that opportunity.
Some of you are teachers.
And, yeah, I'd just like to thank you for that.
Thank you.
Okay.
