And the root text is Okay, those extraordinary people who shatter the way the mind turns things around, use a balanced meditation which is fixed and clear on its object. this object is like a crystal with the one that holds it and what it holds and the holding itself as well okay so this is the I don't know this is the big moment in the yoga sutra right of the direct perception of ultimate reality here I don't know we talked to Jacqueline and Connie but in the old days in the homework we had key words that the people were supposed to learn. The first one is mani, which is here, manir, which means of a crystal, like the crystal, like on mani pedmehun, right? So mani means crystal, and in Tibetan it's norbu. And the other cool word here is the last one, samapati, which is another word for meditation anybody want to tell me what it means awareness equal focus between what and what equal it means balance it means balance equal balance so you're not falling off to getting distracted and you're not falling off to getting sleepy. I call it a future hamburger and past hamburger. What's that mean? The hamburger that you were thinking that you ate. Aren't those both agitation actually? Oh no, the past hamburger makes you feel dull. Yeah, past hamburger makes you feel dull and the future hamburger is what you're thinking about while you're meditating. Should be past famous pizza. Yeah. I like that pizza. It's so heavy. I think I'll get some today. I'm going to go around today. I'm really excited. I have to pick up a wedding suit. Whoa. Okay. Okay. So here's how I would present it nowadays. Okay. and you guys have all heard me present this many times but i recently i was into this idea of an invisible world like the world of the virus okay so the reason this lady can you see her uh the reason she's wearing a mask uh like she's a scientist she's in a lab you know they're making bacteria and she doesn't want to get sick so she's wearing this mask and it means that she accepts the idea of an invisible world she accepts that there's things she cannot see that can affect her so she can't see viruses and bacteria but she's wearing a mask the fact that she's wearing a mask that she believes there's an invisible world around her that she cannot see. And she's wearing a mask to protect herself from something that's invisible to her, you know. And this room doesn't look any different if there's bacteria flying around or if there's not bacteria. You can't see then that's a big problem in my town Rimrock Arizona people who come to the cafe we're not even open yet but we're going to be open in at the time of the next comment also and Veronica wants to change the name of the cafe to black hole cafe because when money comes near the cafe it disappears into the black hole so uh we have a problem in our little town in arizona uh nobody wants to wear a mask because they say i can't see anything there's nothing i can see you know we we don't see anything and it's i don't know like i guess that means we're the stupidest town in the whole world or something i don't know but uh people won't many people here refuse to wear a because they say we can't see anything, you know. So this lady understands that there's an invisible world and she has to wear a mask. Something she cannot see could kill her. And this is my cafe. These are the local people. And they refuse to wear masks because they can't see. They can't see the virus. it's an there it's a parallel invisible world and it doesn't worry them they they don't it can kill them but they don't even believe in it because they can't see it okay where am i going uh emptiness is not like something that we see normally day to day but we have some belief that it exists so we endeavor to try to see it Yeah, emptiness is exactly the same. You know, it's all around you. It's a world around you. It's a higher world, and you cannot see it. And so it's hard to convince people. It's like telling people to come to my cafe to wear a mask. They say, we can't see it. And then my whole life, I'm trying to convince people, there's this other world, okay? It's all around you, you know? But it's the opposite of the virus. It's the opposite. It's something that can save you. It's something beautiful and amazing. And imagine an invisible world around us that could empower us to a higher level of love and understanding, can you plug into it? You see what I mean? Can you access this world, parallel universe, which is all around you, okay? So don't tell me you don't believe in an invisible world around you because that's why you wear a mask. You believe in it and you believe it can kill you. But there's another invisible world and do the opposite. And if you can plug into it, it can make you immortal, okay? It's the opposite. It's the opposite problem, you see. I think it's kind of cool. Anyway, that's how I'm gonna try to sell emptiness to people as long as the virus is going well. And it tell the stupid Rimrock people wear a mask, okay? So here's the homework question from long ago. In this section of the Yoga Sutra, Master Patanjali speaks about extraordinary people who shatter the way the mind turns things around. Talk a little bit about these people. Give the Sanskrit word for these people and discuss the root of this word. So I just like this picture. It kind of looks like Las Vegas. I'm sorry. but I really like that. It's a perfect image, actually, that she's looking at the diamond world. Okay. And so with this verse, we are entering the third of the five paths, which is the path of seeing. When you see ultimate reality directly for the first time, and for 20 minutes, your mind stops turning things around. okay that's all like and you can i mean we're not going to tell the audience but you could work for millions of lifetimes to have this 20 minutes okay when the mind stops turning things around for 20 minutes okay and again the original ysi courses were given for yoga teachers in new york and i i cannot say that this experience would turn your body into light and an all-knowing and compassionate mind uh and to see you can also see into the future and you can see that transformation uh so you know i don't know how we're going to present that we have to think about that i like to i love this is a i'm stealing something from dci okay Since I know the policemen, I can steal things from DCI, but this is evolution. So we used to be monkeys, and then we became gorillas. Then we learned to use tools. Then we became humans, and then we became arias with the diamond. Okay, and in DCI, the way I like to talk about it is that- Amipai of Einstein. The difference between a normal human and an Arya is more than the difference between a bacteria and Einstein. Okay, it's more than that. The difference is more than that. It's a completely different evolution. It's like they say turtles came out of the ocean and came on the beach and then compare that to Einstein or something. It's the difference between someone who saw emptiness directly and didn't see emptiness directly is more than that. So how you talk about that is difficult. And we call them Arya, we call them real life being. Here's the Sanskrit, okay. And the root is er, okay, this is the vowel er. It's pronounced, I'll put it here pronounced er. Okay. And just for those of you, I don't know, er, er, er, the sound er, all vowels in Sanskrit have three degrees, okay? Normal, strengthened, and super strengthened, okay? And er, they are, by the way, they're just normal, Verdi and Guna, Guna and Verdi, sorry. Guna and Verdi, okay. So, this vowel goes from er to ar, to ar. Okay, so arya is a very strong er. So the root is er, and the strongest form of er is ar. So arya, and er means to go, especially up, okay, especially upwards, all right. And so we get the English words, rise, okay, and I have another one here, what's that? Well, you could say orient, the orient or the east, because that's where the sun errs. Okay, orient, okay, that means the eastern, the east, okay. Okay, so that's the meaning of, so Arya, what's the Tibetan by the way? - Yeah, Pakspa. Okay, one who has risen up higher. Okay, sometimes sutras are called Arya because they are high, they are high books. Every sutra before the name they will say Arya, okay. So, and the English pronunciation, it happens to be correct. It is Arya, it's not Arya or anything like that. Okay. So it means someone who has risen up higher to another stage of evolution. Okay. Yeah. So there's, oh, by the way, I think if you talk about this word, It's important to say it doesn't refer to Arya as a racial slur, okay? Okay, it doesn't, this is the way the Nazis used it. They said Aryan race or higher race. They stole the word from India. I think still people know this word. So we have to be careful to explain that it doesn't, we're not using it that way, okay? All right. Guess what? Tesla made an SUV called a Model Y, which is like the best SUV ever made. And it just came out. It just came out last week, I think. And, you know, it's incredible. People give it great reviews. If you've ever been in a Tesla car, so it drives like a sports car, but it doesn't look like an SUV, but it has the space of an SUV. So Nissan company came out with a competition like a week ago, and it's called Aria. but they spelled it differently. I think they spelled it IY just not to get in trouble. But those car companies, they take a lot of time and trouble to find a word that will do something to you unconsciously, subconsciously. So, you know, they must be aware that the word ARIA has some powerful subconscious effect on people. And I think it's kind of cool. We can't show this image, okay? Because, but, and by the way, it got terrible reviews compared to the Model Y. So probably this ARIA is going to fail. But anyway, I think Tesla's, Tesla's, what do you call it? Capitalization is about, call it not quite a hundred times Nissan now, but it's something like that. Okay. Call it 50 times bigger. They've got 50 times more money. They got $200 billion to play with and they've never made a profit. They've never made money in a year. So anyway, that's kind of cool. All right. That's a business. so that's episode one and I'm going to volunteer to do that one I'm sorry but I'm going to let you guys do the rest of them okay Jacqueline and I'll tell you something interesting the Tibetans there are 300,000 Tibetan holy books. Many of them talk about arias and talk about this experience, direct experience of emptiness. And I don't know how many people saw emptiness directly in Tibet, but I'm guessing it was less than a handful. But they passed it on very carefully. They passed it on very, very well. So you have tens of thousands of books where they listen carefully to Nagarjuna, or they listen carefully to Asanga, or they listen carefully to Tsongkhapa, and they describe emptiness correctly. So that's a big challenge, you know, to try to teach something if you haven't had that experience is you have to be really careful and I have to say the Tibetans have been of Tsongkhapa's lineage they've been very very very careful to describe it correctly from what they heard you know and so I think I think that's a good example for us you know I I translated the Abhidharmakosha for 12 years I wrote a dictionary of Abhidharmakosha it's it's like this thing and I checked the Sanskrit against the Tibetan. And in that whole book, which took me 12 years to study, I found one word that wasn't the same number of syllables, okay, where they missed one syllable, okay. It's incredible what the Tibetans did to make sure they didn't mess up the descriptions of emptiness and the direct perception emptiness, they were incredibly careful. And it's strange because usually once something gets a few generations old, it gets corrupted. But in Tibet, it's been 43 generations in Tibet. And it's perfect. Everything's perfect. They didn't mess up anything in Tsongkapa's lineage. They're extremely careful. So you have a challenge for this homework, I think, for these episodes is to try to listen very, very carefully and describe it correctly, even if you haven't had that experience directly. Okay. And that's the way it has to be, you know, that there are generations where things have to be passed on without a direct experience sometimes. Okay. All right. Of course it's better if we have the direct experience. All right, here we go. Episode two is called why diamonds are important. I think it's going to be two people. and I think it's going to be kind of long okay and this is referring to what word in the rude text crystal money right did I see it right Nick oh yeah nice okay money which happens to be oh money okay by the way uh yeah that's a very very tantric mantra and padma means well it's a reference to partners and the padma is in the locative which means the money the jewel is in the lotus okay uh and that's a very important mantra okay anyway so that money here is the diamond okay give three reasons why master pathangani compares the direct experience of ultimate reality to crystal and more specifically to a diamond okay and this has to be some some couple or some group of people has to do this one okay and I mean a couple or two friends who want to do it together okay all right number one the diamond is the one most important metaphor for ultimate reality the first reason is that when you see emptiness directly which takes about 20 minutes and when you come down all Aryas have this yearning to compare it to something in this world, in this level of reality, and they always come up with the diamond, okay? They always think of a diamond, and then if you've been an Arya, if it happened to you, you would want to be around diamonds. You would have a big motivation to be touching diamonds or to be near diamonds for the rest of your life in some way. Okay. So because it's the closest thing in this world that can remind you of that invisible world, that other invisible world. So the more you're around diamonds, the more you touch them, talk about them look at them translate about them uh the more you can plug into that energy you can stay plugged into that energy okay that other world that that you can't see but which is all around you okay so the metaphor the closest thing in this world is a diamond uh for three reasons okay there's three reasons here's the first reason we live in a world where there are no ultimates okay and i chose this image of this young girl because there's no longest thing in the universe you can always add another half inch okay there's no longest thing there's no uh shortest thing you can always cut it in half there's no heaviest thing you can always add more weight uh there's no there's no est anything okay in this world uh but a diamond is close okay a diamond is close nowadays we know how to even just in this generation we know how to drill a diamond with a laser but as far as scratching a diamond there's nothing in the universe that can scratch a diamond okay uh a diamond can scratch anything and uh i like to tell this story i was giving this talk to a bunch of kids i had a kids class for 15 years and i was trying to teach him about diamonds and i gave a diamond to a young boy on a on a diamond uh holder and uh i said this will scratch anything and he said all like uncle mike will it scratch the window and i said yeah it will scratch the window and he was in the kitchen uh my llama's kitchen and he went over to the window and he wrote his name on the window with the diamond and it was there for 25 years you know i had and my teacher was not happy uh you know but if you point a diamond correctly, it can scratch anything in the universe. Okay. So there are no ultimates in this world, but a diamond is the closest to an ultimate. Stanley and Allison were asking me, they would, Jenny, they would like to start a branch academy like Singapore. They want to start a branch of SCIM. and they said we want to name it diamond something you know that we want to put diamond in the name and i said well the best name is close diamond okay and and nobody likes this name i don't think they're going to use it uh but the best name is close diamond because diamonds are close but they are not ultimate okay so if you're gonna say the word diamond if you're gonna put the word diamond on something uh it would be even sexier to say something about why the diamond is close to ultimate but it's not ultimate so i i would i would call it close diamond academy but i don't think it's gonna work i don't think it's gonna be popular they didn't like it uh if you're gonna write a book what would you call it? Diamond Cutter. Yeah nice Uta. Okay there's no diamonds in the Diamond Cutter Sutra and why don't they call it the Diamond Sutra instead of the Diamond Cutter Sutra? It means an Arya gave it that name like if you if you hear the word Diamond Cutter and you know what the diamond means, you're like, wow, that's such a good name. Why? Diamond is close to ultimate reality. It's almost the hardest thing, ultimate heart, but it's not. So we should say the diamond is cut. The diamond is cut by something deeper. something bigger. Okay. So anyway, so for the first reason to use a diamond, the first reason Patanjali mentions a money, a crystal, is that these are ultimate. Okay. That's the first reason. Okay. Now here's the second reason. A diamond is also completely clear and invisible. If there was a wall of diamond between you and me right now you wouldn't even be able to see it you wouldn't see the diamond okay unless there was a reflection on it uh you you it's so pure that you couldn't see it okay and uh i was in a i was so i was in the diamond business i was in the diamond wholesale business we didn't cut diamonds but I learned to cut diamonds I went to at night I paid a guy a lot of money to teach me to cut diamonds at night it's like a secret and it took a long time to learn it in and one day I went into a diamond cutting shop and they were cutting this huge diamond like over 100 carats so that's about you know big and they were cutting two diamonds and i said what what's going on you know you've got you probably got a hundred million dollars in those two diamonds you know what what are you doing why are you cutting what are you doing and they said we're cutting a window for a satellite okay for this i think it went to venus or something but diamond is the clearest thing in the universe uh and it's it doesn't uh it can go through acid and nothing will happen to it so they used it for window they they used it for the window of the satellite uh the camera window and they made a backup they cut two of and I don't know what they did with the second one they just threw it away I guess that's what American taxpayers pay for but I was there I saw them it's the clearest substance in the universe so what's the point of that? that it's always around us and we don't see it yeah it's like the virus world it's like you can't see it's around you all day and not one emptiness there's there's a thousand in the room that you're sitting in but you can't see it it's like amazing and if you saw it for 10 minutes uh you would be immortal you would be on your you'd be on the on your way to immortal what's that called technically you would be unstoppably on your way to being immortal no one could stop you you couldn't stop you uh you would be immortal the opposite of the virus right but we can't see it it's crazy okay all right third quality and you know the story I like to tell this story and I know you heard all my stories and I'm sorry about that but I try to make new stories as much as I can but you know when they discovered the diamond mines in South Africa which split off from India It's one of the proofs of continental drift because some of those diamonds were left in India. But when they discovered the De Beers mine, the biggest diamond pipe, most famous diamond pipe ever, you know, thousands of people went there to try to dig diamonds. And people would find diamonds and they would take them to a buying office. and somebody would buy them. I told Veronica, we were talking about, Nick, did you ever hear Olo Tanji? No, what's that? He's the most famous African drummer in history. He brought African drumming to the world. Because there's an African drumming club in Flagstaff, and Veronica, one of her clients, is an older divorced lady who discovered the joys of African drumming. And so anyway, Olo Tanji's son was a diamond dealer in New York. And he came to me one day and he said, let's go to the Congo. Let's go to the Congo and buy diamonds, you know. And I'm like, yeah, let's do it, you know. He says, I have some contacts, you know. And so I got all ready for the trip. And then I went to the Diamond Dealers Club and I told my friend, a Belgian guy named Jules, a diamond dealer from Antwerp. And I said, I'm going to go to Congo to buy diamonds. And he said, do not go. You know, do not go. You will die. And, you know, walking around with cash in the Congo is the best way to die. And I agreed. I didn't go. I talked it over with my lama and I didn't go. Although Tanji's son was murdered, he went by himself and he was murdered. So anyway, this is diamond buying and it's a terrible, dangerous business. So anyway, there's an old trick that diamond buyers do that when the miners come with the diamond, the raw diamond, the diamond buyer will say that's not a diamond. And the diamond miner, who usually has hidden the diamond up his rectum or something, and escaped from the diamond mine, he will say, no, no, this is a real diamond. And the diamond buyer will take a hammer and say, if it's a diamond, then a hammer cannot break it. And they will hit it with the hammer and it will split like this picture. And then they'll say, okay, go get out of my office. You know, this is not a diamond. Then when the guy leaves, they will pick up all the pieces because they're very valuable. They really are diamond. So you can split a diamond, but you cannot scratch a diamond. Okay. Why are we talking about that, Geshe Maiko? Don't make the story so long. Each piece of diamond is totally pure. Okay. Each little piece that you break off is chemically the same as the biggest diamond in the world. They are all chemically perfect. So big things in your room have emptiness. Small things in your room have emptiness. Each pore on your skin has emptiness. The Milky Way has emptiness. is equally perfectly empty okay not no one thing is more empty than another the smallest emptiness in the world the emptiness of jaru is the same as the emptiness of this universe okay totally equal completely equal okay it's so you got to understand that so that in that way emptiness is like diamonds okay there there's jaru by the way okay his emptiness is not that small okay i love that i like your porch i like your dog okay what'd you do with your baby you just put it in the fridge or something no i'm kidding okay all right uh by the way uh so there's three parts here that's why i was thinking to have two people do it because actually there's four parts i have another part for you here's the fourth part uh and we spoke about it a little bit already in the end the image of a diamond is insufficient uh higher reality is infinitely more unique the metaphor is necessarily destroyed when you see the real thing when you see the real thing you realize that calling it uh ultimate calling a diamond ultimate is is like not true at all it's it's nothing ultimate like a like emptiness okay it's not it cannot compare that's why it's important to talk about cutting diamonds okay diamonds are not ultimate they're just a symbol for ultimate and every aria gets interested in diamonds okay all right that's why the oldest printed book in the world is called the diamond cutter citra okay here's the the copy of it we went and saw this right you guys in LA it was on exhibit at the something museum yeah we went and saw it what was it at the Getty museum oh at the Getty museum yeah yeah yeah someday Jenny I want to bring it to Singapore this one or to Beijing or Okay. By the way, and here I go off, okay? I go off on a little, because I love to talk about diamonds. The shape of a well-formed natural diamond is like this. It's called a tetrahedron, octahedron, sorry, tetrahedral crystal structure in eight sides, okay? This is a pure, This is a pure natural diamond. And in ancient India, they found them because they came out of the pipes in Africa before Africa split from India. And India was the first place they found large diamonds and they didn't know how to cut them. So they would just wear them like this, you know and then later in uh i guess it was uh amsterdam they learned they how to cut the top off and then they make a diamond okay so but this is a natural diamond okay and that's why you have this shape on a diamond playing card this is a queen of diamonds right so this is the natural shape of a diamond that's why we call this a diamond shape i almost said baseball diamond but i don't think any there's no country in the world except japan which really cares about baseball diamond okay uh i love this picture uh it's very very common for two of these octahedrons to grow together and it's called twinning and so this is a very very common shape where the two diamonds grow together it's called twinning you can almost see the stretch marks between the two octahedrons and that's called a vajra in sanskrit and it used to be the word for lightning because they thought that on the tip of lightning there was a vajra because it could smash a tree and if you've ever seen a a piece of lightning smash a tree it's quite an experience i saw one during my three-year retreat a big oak tree got hit by lightning near near my retreat house and we heard it and it just smashed the whole huge tree into nothing okay so so lightning was called vajra and then this shape was copied in tibet and this was called a vajra okay this instrument was called the vajra it's actually two diamond crystals the shape of two diamond crystals growing together okay by the way where can you go from here if you're really fanatic. Besides paths. What's that? Besides paths. Nah, the root for the word is vaj. And it's found in the English vegetable. Which was its powerful good effects on the body. The word vegetable means powerful. It's related to the word vajra. I hate vegetables but in ancient India they were recognized as very powerful for your body and very good for your body. Okay. All right. I thought the last thing I put here, Vajrasana, there's two Vajrasanas. One is where you sit between your ankles. Nowadays, it's where you sit between your ankles with your knees bent. But the original Vajrasana was a full lotus. The full lotus was never called a full lotus in India. Not until recently. The original name was Vajrasana. Okay. And nowadays it's sometimes called Vajra Abhedya, which means unbreakable diamond pose. And she's in a full lotus. We call it full lotus, but in the yoga tradition, it was called Vajrasana, the diamond pose. Okay. All right. Episode three. And this goes back. You guys doing okay? Any questions? Any comments? Okay, I don't think there's any benefit to try to convince yoga studio owners that that this is a Buddhist book, but in fact there are almost, there are hundreds of Buddhist ideas in this book. And if you know Buddhism well, it's like a playground. And I like these three spheres, I kind of found some nice spheres. So when they talk about the direct perception of ultimate reality, okay, they often talk about, and I used a picture of this handsome guy, which I request that you use because it has other meat, other importance to our platform. But you have the seer, right? And then if you look carefully, there's a diamond here. In this, this is a diamond cutting machine. It's the holder of the diamond. So there's a, there's a rough diamond here. And then, so this is the seer. The diamond is what they are seeing. And the whole action here is called seeing, the action of seeing. There's the actor, the action, and the thing you're acting towards. In this verse, they are called the perceiver, the perceived, and the perceiving, which even in english in latin kept kepto means the grabbing the person grabbing the thing which is being grabbed and the action of grabbing okay so three things we call in buddhism the three spheres the three components of any karma or any action is there's a doer there's something they're doing something towards and then there's the act of the doing okay now in sanskrit we use the word for holding okay which is uh grahitar which is that the holder or is that the holding or is that the object held you guess grahiter the holder yeah the holder because this er came into english as a word for the agent of an action like painter or thinker or like that plumber the er represents the actor. Even the word actor has er. So when you see a verbal root like gra, which means to grab, and grab comes from it, then the er means this is the doer. Okay, this is the person. Let's go get the English. Okay, hang on. Okay. Okay, I'm going to stick the English in here. This is part of it, part relevant. Okay. This object is like a crystal with the one that holds it, what it holds, and the holding itself. Okay. Then the object being held in Sanskrit usually has a YA on the end. Okay, so grahya means the thing being held. Okay, when grahya meets issue, it changes the grahya issue. So don't get confused. It's really grahya. That means the thing that you're holding. Okay. And then the grahana here is the action of holding. Okay, so the holder, the holding, and what you're holding to. In this case, what is it? Who's the grahita? The one in the direct perception. Yeah, the aria. The aria. Okay, yeah. What's the grahita? Or the act of seeing emptiness. No, grahita. I put them out of order, okay? Right, right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, this is the diamond. Okay, if you remember the three spheres, that's the purpose of learning about the three spheres. okay, when I walk into the kitchen and my husband yells at me, well then the person who sees the husband and the husband that we see and the fact that we met each other, okay, it's all empty, It's all coming from me, okay? Each one is coming from all these. Therefore, only a blind person would get upset when their husband yells at them, okay? Okay. So it's cool that Patanjali mentions the clear light here. Okay. It means that things are empty of being what they are by themselves. It means things are coming from my seeds. They are not coming from their own side. And he says, stay there. Okay. After you see emptiness directly, try to stay there and try not to forget what you saw, that everything is coming from your seeds and nothing is not coming from your seeds. Okay. And he calls that the clear light beyond all conceptual thought. Okay. Conceptual thought here, by the way, doesn't mean, it doesn't mean discursive thought. It means twisted thoughts. Okay. Master Patanthi says that we should stay in that one pure thought and We should The first stage of the path of seeing is the direct perception of ultimate reality within a deep state of meditation. I think the goal of this section is not to tell the people too much. I think they will get overwhelmed. You know, there's tens of thousands of books in Tibetan about this, but it's too much. And I think one of the coolest things that you see are future enlightenment directly. And it feels a lot like this picture. So it took me a long time and I looked and I looked and I looked and I found this picture and when you have when you come down out of seeing emptiness directly you see yourself in the future like this and they are facing towards you and they are like up in the I don't know they're not on solid ground okay and and you can see yourself as you will be directly. You see your future enlightenment, which is very, very cool, right? To see yourself as a Buddha in the future. And it's not, and it's a direct perception of something that will be. And you get to sit and enjoy looking at it, okay? Like up in the sky or thing you know okay and it looks a lot like this okay okay and then there are other things you know that you have seen an enlightened being okay we could call ourselves a muslim or a christian or a jew or a buddhist but you didn't meet moses you didn't meet jesus you didn't meet muhammad you couldn't confirm that they even existed but on this day you can okay then you know that the books are true and that there should be a project to save them and you also know there's a funny thing you know that you never had a correct perception in your life before that, which is kind of weird. It's a weird feeling. Okay. All right. All right. In fact, once you come down out of the direct perception, you begin to see things wrong again, but at least you know you're doing it. Okay. All right. And what's the name for that, Nick, in Tibetan? Or Ben Kramer, if you're here. And she holds that image for hours and hours and hours. You know, they have dinner, they talk, but she can't get rid of this image in her mind, okay? And it keeps coming back to her mind. That night, she can't stand it. When he's asleep, she goes to check his phone. to see who was it, you know. And then it turns out he was ordering her a secret birthday gift online from Amazon. Okay. And that's why he was smiling. Okay. And that's why he was smiling.
