Hey. Hello. Hello. Lydia, do you got access to that brainstormed list stuff? Yeah. It's in Telegram. Want me to resend it to you? Or just grab it from here? Yeah, you can just grab it from there. I'm going to throw something in the chat for us. Oops, that's not it. Please ignore that. Zoom really needs a recall. I always think that. I'm always so scared in these. I'm like, well. Since it's on the recording, the message privately won. I'm like, oh, no. Did I do it right? yeah and then i found out that all of that is archived like your private chats aren't really private but they're archived with zoom or they're archived like like with the like if you save all of the it's in the zoom files that get downloaded oh gotcha you see where you like you can't attach a file from the desktop either it doesn't seem that's so bizarre to me uh hmm yeah it doesn't give that option does it like why i guess i guess i guess only only cool people use Google Drive or something called Box that I don't even know what it is. Microsoft SharePoint? Come on. Come on, Apple users. Hey, Benji. Hey, I feel like Google Drive is just like the perfect way to practice Santosha because I was playing with that thing all day today. And it was just like, sometimes the USB cord works and sometimes it doesn't. You know? The trials and tribulations. Of Zoom life. Tracy, what's going on today? Not too much. I'm thinking there's like one class left and I'm like, oh my gosh. I'm thinking how much work I have to do or the next few weeks, like the study and just anyway. Yeah. There's a lot. It's like, it seems like, yeah, I think I know a little bit and then I start looking and I'm like, I don't know anything. It's a, it's a text for life. Yeah. The more you think, you know, the more you will find out that you don't, and then you can study it from a whole different perspective. you know get it into it from the samkhya perspective and then see how it morphs into a vedantic perspective it's really endless yeah and i think the more sanskrit you know then that just gets to be a whole new world and opens up into even more awesome so when are we gonna do chapter three well i think he was talking to a year so i don't know maybe this year i don't know we were supposed to hit him up lady did that ever happen i have his calendar and i looked it over i scouted it out and since this is going to be broadcast to everyone um maybe maybe at the end of this year but honestly I feel like maybe the beginning of next year is going to be more more plausible but that's okay because that's like you know six seven months away and if everyone does their homework and like cooks their stuff then I think that's a good time maybe to come back revisit and figure out what what's going on in chapter three. All right. Sounds good. We will have chapter one course coming out at probably fall. So that's really exciting, especially for people who didn't come to chapter one. So have no worries. YS does not sleep. Do we, Errol? True. Just writing a message to Connie to hit him up again. about what about the dates no i have the dates i i'm the i have the calendar no but i mean to get him to say yes i will teach on before tomorrow's class okay let's let's i'll i'll give you a deep brief on that i should not send this message to connie is everything no i'll send it yet hi hi Flavia yeah hi Flavia how's it going how are you and Oscar doing with the homework things good it's really nice to do Cool. That's raining. I finished the four, and I'm going to double check the others. But I think I got it, I think. After doing 10 days, now I know how to do it. Awesome. So cool. Benji, you're sporting a new hairdo. I was inspired by yours my previous do yeah that's what it's all about so in the chat I put a traditional prayer to Patanjali it's generally chanted before classes and study so if people are interested in it it's there girl can you share that again because i showed up a little bit later i don't know in the chat thank you too bad snooze to lose Christine you would have heard it in the 20 hour we did at Three Jules Yes this is looking familiar Yeah Earl what do you mean if people are interested in it Of course we are. Well, there you go. We're the sad sign groupie nerds. So you can see in it, it's a prostration to him for teaching three different things. Firstly, teaching Ayurveda. and then language with teachings on grammar and so patanjali that's what he was known for in tibet the only text of his that made it into that was a grammar text on panini and then so he's talking about his teachings on ayurveda on grammar and then on yoga and he's the one that helps us remove the impurities of body speech and mind remove the impurities of body with ayurveda and the impurities of speech with grammar of sanskrit which is super fascinating and then the impurities of the mind with yoga which kind of gives a sense of what the idea of yoga is 2 000 years ago or whenever this was written that yoga wasn't uh he doesn't say remove the impurities of the body with yoga remove the impurities of the mind with yoga. It's kind of cool. It shows that it's a meditation text. The Yoga Sutra is a meditation manual, partly how to live your life as a yogi, but it's all geared at meditation and attaining those highest levels of meditation. it's kind of cool Flavia say more about that I need some meditation guide because it makes us to have a peaceful mind like a truly peaceful mind yeah i mean i think that's true i would say it's a meditation manual because when you really get into the text you see that that's his starting and end point like that's what the whole text is geared around and really it's all connected towards these ideas of reaching the highest states of meditation as a means to liberation as a what's the word like a transcendent worldview of getting out of suffering a soteriological worldview meaning like how do we transcend suffering and his take is you transcend suffering by through meditation and then the practices are all the book is all geared at that really if you have a bird's eye view with the book it's it's to attain he calls it the highest state asam prajnada samadhi or near bija samadhi near bija samadhi yeah yeah bija is a seed near is beyond so it's a state beyond seeds um lydia i didn't prep anything it sounds like you prepped the prayer i did prep the prayer yes that should suffice it's all good I got your back okay so there was tons of of like things dropped in the chat today about I can just we can start with like one question after another but like it seemed like in today's teaching there was a lot of questions that kept like popping in and then a little back and forth dialogue on different aspects so I can just put them in the chat and we can just kind of one by one everybody can see him doesn't have to be like a a secret yeah and if somebody else has got something they want to um talk about tonight this is great time throw it in the chat shout it out i'm sorry you helped me with my theme for tomorrow's class Gladly. Well, gladly. I was saying that I'm sorry that yesterday was Chio's birthday and I couldn't left on time to get to the satsang. But I was thinking about it that when we... I don't know. For example, my reality, let's say, My reality is that I have to cook meat. It's not, but imagine that is my reality as a cook. I have to cook meat. So I'm like, I cannot follow the rules because this is my reality. And I was thinking that if I say that, it's denying karma. So that is holding to wrong views. So if I say that in my mind, I mean, I'm breaking one of the vows, one of the commitments that is all the self-control. Not the commitments, the yamas. To say not to hold to wrong views. It was breaking apart a little bit. I didn't quite catch it. I didn't catch what the thing was that would be breaking the commitment about wrong views. Saying that my reality is whatever my reality is and that I cannot change it. This feeling of I have to cook meat or I have to whatever. Everybody has something. But even the idea of this is my reality and I cannot change it, I have to break my commitments. I have to, because this is my reality, is holding to the wrong view that my reality is not coming from me. Yeah. Yeah, I think that that is one of the wrong views for sure. It's hard. I mean, there's two parts to what you said. this is my reality which that part's fine but then when we think oh i can't change it then yeah that is um very disempowering and contrary to the storyline it's also kind of contrary to how we really you know if we were to really think about it just from a worldly perspective things change there's definitely times we feel stuck and powerless but even in a worldly level i think that that is a emotional response to challenges as opposed to a logical one for the most part and then even more so when we factor in seeds i guess my idea was that okay maybe today i have to cook meat because today i i am working in the restaurant but I need to think about this is my reality that I created before and what is the best seed that I can do today to change it is the only way that I can keep my commitments or my llamas say it Nicole well I guess it's you can't change everything instantly I think the best thing to do is to make that plan because by breaking the commitment you're just going to have other people breaking commitments um so i think it's it's more thinking in the long term and even just um i think while you're in the restaurants doing the best you can in the moment and and trying to make a plan for the future and do some type of four power meditation you can renegotiate the commitment Juan says you can renegotiate the commitment that's true that's another way renegotiate the commitments what does that mean Nicole renegotiate the commitments you thought we were the first to do the commitment and see if you can adjust for how long or under what terms a little by little move out of there oh uh wants us to see to talk to the person that you made the commitment see if you can negotiate for how long you have to cook meat or maybe you could um see if you can do some vegetarian options yeah The terms and conditions. Is there any of these questions that people want to dig into? Well, it seems like there's kind of like two things going on. Like today we talked about kind of like collective karmas and there's lots of things about that. But then there's also things about teachers because we had talked about that yesterday. And especially in this group, like you left Earl and I shared my lack of confidence in this area. So I don't know. Do you guys want to talk about teachers or do you guys want to talk about karmas? Teachers. Karmas, one-one. Who's next? Karmas. Three for Karma. Sasha also votes for Karma. Sashi, put your chat in the public chat. You can do it, babe. Cool. I think we got a winner. I like karmic teachers and everyone's happy. Kidding. I like that first one. Is there anything that exists that is not in your bubble, which is what Keshele was talking about? Like, okay, if I am non-violent, if I stop, if I'm established, grounded, pratishtayam in ahinza, non-violence, then tatsanidao, in my presence there will be no violence. And then his friend that he was debating said, well, you just have this little bubble and you have no compassion for the people that are fighting in the world. Right? Something like that? Does that ring a bell? And so the question is, is there anything that exists that is not in your bubble? Alfonso? I kind of think of another question. We can come back to the questions you just asked. But I personally don't think that anything exists out of the bubble. But for me, the question is, when I heard that, the first question that came to my mind is, do you need suffering to have empathy? Aha. Is suffering a required of empathy and compassion? for me that's a big question i hope not i mean that that seems highly problematic yeah exactly so in in that in that way the geshla's friends argument what if you said instead of uh what if you just said you're just ignorant of the suffering like you've got this little bubble you're just ignorant of all the suffering that's going on in the world just because you don't see it just hey okay here we're gonna all end suffering ready oh no suffering you know because i can't see it in my presence then there's no suffering so it's just it's not that i need to see the suffering to be compassionate it's just that i'm I'm blind to it. I haven't solved anything. I'm just, my ignorance is bliss for me. I kind of disagree with who can come back. Disagree with what? I kind of disagree with that. In a sense that the fact that I don't feel suffering and that I have purified my seeds enough that I don't perceive that anymore does not mean that I don't understand the suffering that others might be going through. Hence, my desire to help them and bring them to the end of suffering for themselves. lydia and then those things well i'm i'm i'm kind of inspired what you say like i think that yes things things exist that that aren't in our bubble because the the whole like basis is that things are empty like this is my perception of my world right so what's going on in your world in his world in her world and all these other you know places I might not be aware of that but it definitely exists um you know if we want to keep our our focus on only one planet only one city only where I am well that's not I don't think that that's what exists you know I think there's many many things that are existing that I'm not conscious of. Like what you said, like, okay, just because I don't see it doesn't mean it's not happening. So I think that's my answer. But yeah, there's a lot that's existing that's not in my bubble. Lucy? Hey, so I think for a lot of folks, Like if people are very sensitive or compassionate and they're kind of used to taking everything on, the idea of the bubble for a while can be kind of necessary or sometimes tempting to stay in for a little too long. But for a while, it can be necessary to not look at a lot of things in order to like refine one's own energy and own seeds, because there's a lot of problems that can come with that. if you are continuously taking on like issues and problems into your space and then making them your own. Like it can get messy. It's really messy. And it doesn't end up serving like people hope it does or hope that it would. So that can be super, super important. And I also feel like we were talking about enlightenment, I think yesterday a little bit and, or maybe the day before. And it was, we were talking about how, isn't there, one of the levels is omnipresence, like, or maybe, what's it, omnipotent? Omnipotence, yes, where you're, like, all-knowing, all-observing. So you would be able to hold all of these different experiences and to witness them without taking them on. So you're able to keep your own space clean and clear and to have that be so solid and so foundational that then you can be able to hold, not necessarily carry, right? Because everyone is on their path. You don't have to do everyone's work for them. It doesn't even work like that. But to be able to witness that and carry it in that way, being able to hold it in that way and to see it without taking it in. or taking it on in that sense. Ksenia? Are you going to give Vedanta on us? Actually, that's what I was thinking now. Well, if the entire world is created, because that's the concept, yeah, that everything is coming from us. What I see comes from me, what you see comes from you. so practically it's like a dream i mean this is the analogy yeah when you sleep you are gonna go well what am i supposed to do if that's what if that's how i perceive and i have you know i even use different instruments that are based on this philosophy and i mean one of them is this because it's hard it's hard for us to understand but everything we see it's practically our creation like from from pen yeah like the pen from us it's coming from us and then how can you force yourself understand that when you break this reality and by breaking it it means making some crazy things like proving yourself it doesn't matter like for example very very basic techniques are when you wear two different shoes and you don't care like the reactions because anyway you make up this reality kind you know anyway so practically it's like it's like a dream which you know when you are in the dream and you touch wood you feel wood when you touch metal you feel it it's metal when you touch textile you feel it's textile you have all the feelings despite that you know it's a dream where is all this made up we know where it's made up in your head. Nobody else has the access to these things, whatever you feel, smell, touch, whatever. Yeah. So practically everything is made up by you. And if we consider that our realities are all dreams for each person for whom the reality is there, if we all wake up, what happens? All dreams are gone. And if they are gone, then everything is gone. so i don't believe there is something more behind my bubble yeah that's a very that's a much bigger expansive view of of that bubble yeah so i believe my bubble is mine and it's like i created it you created yours they they intersect of course because there is this collective you know conscious and stuff but i don't think philosophically i don't think there is something behind the bubble if patanjali says in your presence all conflict will end so that means in my bubble there's no conflict which implies that there is something outside of that bubble right because other people might have conflict they because my karma is just for me no but what he says is that in my bubble is like that that's my perception so practically he says in my perception of the world there is no conflict in your perception might be but that's your perception you create your bubble so i create mine you create yours yeah so in my bubble yeah are they in my bubble who who they the person that's seeing conflict if i see i mean if i perceive them yes if i don't so there's a person experiencing violence in my bubble yes then there is violence in my bubble so let's go back in my My perception of him perceiving violence, right? Yeah. So then there is violence in my bubble because I'm perceiving somebody perceiving violence. That means I'm perceiving violence indirectly, but I'm perceiving violence. And that's not what Patanjali is saying. He's saying in my bubble, there ain't no violence. Yeah. The moment when he says in my bubble, there is no violence. He doesn't perceive anyone going through violence. I mean. Right. Right. So at that moment, whether that's a permanent state or a temporary one, outside of that bubble is their violence. Oh, look at all these hands. Oh, my God. It's a three-for-all. Just jump in. Alfonso, you had your hand up first, I think. Jump in. You know, what you're saying, I don't see how what you're saying is contradicting what I said, because all these bubbles are made up. I mean, that's the deepest concept, but everything is the creation of our consciousness because the reality is this emptiness, right? So anything outside the emptiness is created, created by our consciousness, by our need of, like Alfonso was saying, need of suffering in order to make the soul progress. so we create it's like like i said the other time i said like these exams so like like in school they create a fake reality for us they give us courses cases and we do but it's not real we just train our brains there and our abilities of dealing with whatever let's say it's a business school and you have a business case it's not a real business case it's created for you so that you learn the same i see this life okay it's hard to really feel it but that's my mental concept i mean perception that this life is created for the soul to progress right to progress yeah so when it gives us challenging things like violence whatever you know it's again created like a game you know like a course like whatever in reality that is it because the reality of philosophical reality it's emptiness right so it is and that's and that's how it exists so so i want to drill down in can i get rid of violence in my bubble and does that mean does that mean that there's no violence anywhere because my bubble encompasses all of reality or is there another bubble outside of my bubble where there can be violence yeah and it's yes and no for you it's going to be gone because like but for those who imagine their own bubble for them it's going to be there and so that's that guy's point then like I'm just ignorant of violence why this is ignorance this is actually higher consciousness. I'm ignorant of violence because I don't see it, but it still exists. Hmm. Yeah, for example, for example, okay. In the room next to Nicole, some violent act is happening. But I don't know what's happening because I'm not there. I'm only watching Nicole on Zoom. Yeah, and your bubble is that you imagine Zoom, you imagine Nicole, you imagine everything. That's your bubble. So the moment you understand emptiness, the deepest philosophy, the emptiness, then you realize there is no you in your life. There is no Nicole. There is no room. There is no Zoom. And then there is no violence either. So practically, if you understand emptiness, you know everything is made up. Your violence, my violence, everybody's violence. So it's not there. And your perception, even your perception is not there, but we still feel it, including violence and everything we see around us. So as a perception, there is violence. There are things beyond my bubble because there are in other people's bubble. But all this, including my bubble, is imagination. Like a dream. I'm going Vedanta, yes, I know. what to do I started this for years you definitely went Vedanta Alfonso what were you going to say I just want to pull us out of this Vedantic abyss man I'm going to just put give a couple of questions that are there that are classical questions you know first if a tree falls in the middle of the forest and I'm not there does it make any sound and then bubble, it's coming into the Atisha story kind of thing. The bubble is not this. It's like, for example, if I walk into my house and they tell me, look at the dog, and I say, I don't want to see no dog. What dog? And the other is that I'm consciously looking for the dog, but I don't see a dog where is the dog and i'm and i'm putting all my efforts to find that dog but i simply cannot perceive the dog so maybe i perceive my trailer dancing in a teacher's shoulders so the bubble goes beyond ignorantly not wanting to see something or thinking that something acknowledging that something is there or simply not being able to perceive it even if you want so I want to put out but uh out there what do you guys think I didn't understand can somebody explain who understood I can try again if you want so I'm trying I'm coming to a place where what I think Patanjali is making reference to, in my opinion, is the fact that our perception is forced. We don't have a choice perception where I choose not to perceive violence or I choose to ignore violence or I choose to close my eyes, look another way and don't focus on violence. is the fact that I am forced to perceive things in a certain way because of the seeds that I have in my mind. And that is the bubble. So I've kind of had a little bit of conflict about a bubble that we're kind of creating. in a way versus the real bubble which for me is conditioned by our perception so we are not able to perceive something What is that the real bubble? What do you mean by the real bubble? Well the bubble we're making reference to or this is the fourth this is the fourth result is the milagro the miraculous result this is not the first like everything is becoming to better around you this is the fourth is everything that is suffering ends so this is buddhahood or enlightenment this is not human bubble this is another bubble that at least i don't know how how it is so trying to explain this uh like this this bubble that is for that is forcing me to see uh as a buddha explaining that with a human understanding of the pain, I think is impossible. In the sense that this discussion about the Buddha doesn't suffer, but perceives the suffering of others. But it's not the human perceiving suffering, it's the Buddha perceiving suffering or an enlightened being. go on go on wow so I was hearing about this discussion and I think ultimately to me it comes to the question so when you get enlightened everybody gets enlightened with you at the same time because if everything around you if your bubble let's say your reality is coming from your seeds and then you have come to perfection and purified all seeds then you are supposed to have only perfect projections so how is it that you will not project if if your projections now are pure and perfect how is it that you will project people who is not totally yet pure and perfect so what you're saying juan is that either everybody's enlightened or nobody's enlightened what i'm saying is that i think it's a very deep deep debate it's not that simple because i don't you could say there is a bubble that just belongs to the other person and doesn't have anything to do with you. Then I think we are talking about lower middle way. Because how could a Buddha or anyone, how can a being could perceive something that is not coming from their own seeds? Because Buddhas are omniscient, no? I think that's important. when Aldo was saying about the tree in the forest who falls, does it make any sound or not? And I thought about what's the definition of existing thing. Traditionally, in the Buddhist scriptures, they say, anything that can be perceived by an omniscient being is considered something that exists. So if a tree falls in the forest, an omniscient beam is gonna hear it so an omniscient beam in this way proves that the tree make noise maybe i didn't hear it but but an omniscient beam did right now the question will be like is that is that coming i mean the the the sound of that tree falling is coming from where where is it coming from like how can I say like I can see Earl I don't know or anyone really having a problem but that's what bothers me like to say like no that's his problem and doesn't have anything to do with me and I feel that will be taking it to lower middle way not higher middle way and I think the thing with the bubbles could be explained like maybe I can achieve my my light body let's say buddhahood and then you may ask like hunger let's just take hunger or physical pain I will never experience physical pain because now my body is pure or I will never be hungry again but I still can see other people being hungry and then you may ask does hunger still exist or not in my in my reality like and I guess I will say yes it exists or violence for example but I'm not the experience I cannot experience directly anymore it's like I will never be hurt physically anymore or or ever have hungry again anymore but I can still encounter people with hungry and I will say yes hunger exists in my reality but in a different level not as um uh not not as a maybe Errol this thing with the rank rank sin not as a an object manifesting but as a concept as an idea as a chitzen as a mental image just exists because otherwise if I'm omniscient let's say if I I'm not I'm not but if I was a buddha and I'm omniscient I have to be aware that that's one thing that exists at least as a concept and I guess I'm blessed enough or pure enough to never perceive it on myself affecting me directly but I still can be aware that some other people have it and is that far that I can go into the bubble thing but I think for me it's a struggle it's either higher middle way or lower middle way I would say um is it hunger or is it ignorance still existing in our world because if everybody was saw emptiness directly and really believed in seeds and emptiness then we wouldn't have hunger anymore so I would argue that it's still seeds of ignorance rather than hunger that we're still seeing I would just like to add the dodo bird analogy. I'm curious. You got my attention. I know. That's what I did. Dodo birds are extinct. There are no more dodo birds in the world, in this earth now. But do they exist? Meaning that there's still images and we still have the word for the dodo bird. You can still find some images of the dodo birds in some books if you reference them. But dodo birds no longer exist in the earth now. What if they exist as a mental idea, but not in the form of a manifestation of that mental idea? Yeah, that's what I'm saying. That's where I'm going to. But if you were a Buddha and you could see past, present and future and everything as if it was the present directly, they say, right? So you are seeing like 300 years ago as if it was right now. So for a Buddha, I think they do exist because they perceive them in the present moment. If they want, I don't know. I mean. Yeah, that's tricky because they might be seeing him as a past object in the present moment. Yeah, then Nagarjuna is a murderer. And Maitreya is a murderer. Yeah. but a buddha then is seeing suffering in somebody but at the same time is seeing that person as a buddha so the perception of that suffering is totally different than when you are feeling suffering as a human sasha what do you make of all this Well, I had a comment on the falling tree part. If a being that's near is deaf and it can't hear the tree falling, how does it affect the being? Could you see that last bit again? I couldn't quite hear the last bit. If someone that's deaf and the tree falls next to them and then I didn't hear the last bit. How does it affect the being? Well, do you think the tree, if somebody doesn't hear the tree, did it still fall? Well, as far as they know, they don't know that. In their perception, they might not, the tree might still be standing and it might have apples or whatever was growing on it. So if it fell and they can't hear it, how does it affect the way they live? Yeah. So do you think for them, the tree could still be standing, and for other people, the tree could have fallen? Yeah, because it's all your perception. Yeah. I think so, too. Which is pretty crazy, because then there's two different realities going on at the same time. Bumbles, bumbles. Which is fine, but it gets hard when those two different realities are contradictory. Isn't it? Doesn't that make it harder? But that's what we're living in. Look, I mean, it's always like that. Even in one family, you have these contradictions. Basic things even sometimes. That's the drama of our life. That we are all having bubbles which contradict each other. Because we don't have the common bubble. I don't remember who said Alfonso, I think. The common bubble would be the bubble, the right bubble or how he called it. When we would understand there are no other bubbles and there is only one, this whatever, emptiness or whatever. But we need to grow to perceive that. I need to jump in and jump out. Before I do that, we have this idea tomorrow to ask Esch and Michael to thank him and to ask him to teach. And we were going to do that by having everybody make some sort of piece of paper, you know, write on a thank you, please teach, however you choose to do that. And so then at the end of the teaching, we'll kind of make a formal request for him to teach. And so if people could make up something kind of nice like that, that would be great. And then Lydia, can you hang out with Alfonso? I'm hoping that you can ask on behalf of the group. Teresa's not here, so we'll have to think of either get hold of her or maybe you can think of something on the fly, Lydia. But I got to go, and I would love to debate for another hour, but life is my bubble needs to move. Take us with you in your bubble, Earl. It's not that exciting. My partner just has to teach. So I actually just have to shut up and be quiet, which is difficult with you all. I just want to debate Vedanta right now with Ksenia. Okay. Love you. One pleasant bubble trip. Like Earl said, we would love you guys to make some sort of, you know, like a peeper sign or something, it would be cool if you guys said something like chapter three, because if he's looking at the screen and he can see all of us with like, you know, chapter three, then that would be like super cool. Fly what you don't want chapter three or you do. So if you can make something, you know, of course the please teach is nice, but if we can have something on there where it's like visible that we want, you know, chapter three, that would be cool and then about saying thank you um alfonso uh earl already said so if you could just kind of make like one or two sentences just kind of like you know thank you for the teachings we want you to keep going you can do one and then i don't know flag you want to do it do you want to ask so Alfonso will say a little bit and then Flavio go ahead just keep it brief guys but you know like less than 30 seconds like two sentences and then it will just kind of kind of a representation of of all of our students like asking is that cool yeah just that um unfortunately I I don't think I'm gonna be made I'm gonna make it tomorrow life so I'm going to try to end on time and plug where I'm where I'm at so unfortunately don't count on me to to to convince him okay so then let's let's do this Benji are you going to come to the class tomorrow yeah would you like to ask on behalf of of all of us god that makes me so nervous but you mean like in writing or talking or well you guys are gonna talk like we'll do question and answer and i'll be like the host right like yo thank you for the questions but and then we're gonna you know say thank you at the end you fly your leg already if you if if you wait for five more minutes maybe i can i'm making i can arrive but i don't promise so come on guys it's super cool you have you have like this amazing karma of being the person that's going to like ask like these guys should be going i'll do it i'll do it i'll do it no i'll do it you'll do it okay so what we're gonna do benji like i'll finish question and answer and then we're gonna highlight you and then you just you know thank you so much we keep teaching like literally one to two sentences it doesn't have to be like a monologue about you know what have you. Benji will go first and then Flavio, you close it up. Okay. Awesome. Okay. Super cool. Can I do it in Spanish? I think you're going to have to do it in English, hon. You can do it. You can totally do it in English. Okay. Okay. Okay. If you want, Flavia, I can help you translating it. I think it's supposed to be an anime, but it could be too. Thank you, Sasha. That's very generous of you. Thank you, Flavia. I appreciate it. Thank you. Awesome. Okay, cool. Yay! Yeah, we want it to be like fun and, you know, exciting. We don't want it to be like a pressure. Like that wasn't our, you know, intention. What are you planning to do at the end? Like asking questions or what? I didn't understand. Geshe Michael always gives the teaching. And then at the end, we have the question and answer. At the end of the question and answer, instead of me just saying thank you very much, and then he leaves, we're all going to show our signs. Like, please teach chapter three. Then Benji will say, thank you. Please continue teaching. We love you. And then Fla will say, thank you. Please continue teaching. We love you. So, so it's just a little bit more participation from the audience and not just like, just me being like, thanks, Gashla. That was great. Again, like, so we have a little bit more participation and he has a really big screen. So like when he teaches, he can look at the screen and see us. So if everybody makes their sign, That will be very visually pleasing for him to see that everyone is, you know, involved. Okay. And then in our last five minutes, do you guys want to maybe jump to a different question? Do you want to debate something else? Should I pick a question from our list at the beginning? Yeah, pick a question. Actually, I have a question if you don't mind. Huh? I had a question if you don't mind. I thought we can debate, but we got into the bubbles for one hour. Okay, what's your question? You know, he always mentions, I mean, yes, Michael, he always mentions this idea that if you criticize the system in which you live, you only plant seeds for the system to be bad as you describe it. When you say the country where I live is bad, then it's going to be bad because that's what you are planting. And now in one of the classes, the last one or before the last one, he said that when you pay taxes and those taxes go for something bad, then you participate and it's more, it's worse than one crime. Because one crime you do just one person. But when you participate, then it's like, I don't know, you sponsor a war, yeah, with these taxes. And then it's practically more of a sin than if you would kill just one person. And then he was saying like paying taxes willingly without protesting, without anything. Protesting against taxes is protesting against politicians. It means criticizing the system in which you live. So to me, these things are contradictory. Do you remember he mentioned that in the class, guys? Well, I have a couple of things that come to mind. But if anyone else wants to jump in, by all means, anyone want to say anything? OK, well, it's today he specifically said something like if your teachers give you contradictory information, then it's kind of like your job to decipher through it. Like it's your job to, you know, use your, your, your, you know, logical and kind of your logical side of your brain and figure out, okay, what, what should I do if I'm receiving these two, you know, contradictory things. But no, what he said today, it's from two different teachers. He said, when you have two masters, he didn't mean from the same master contradictory things. They shouldn't be contradictory from the same master. He was mentioning two masters today. Yeah, he did. He did mention that. But I'm just referring to the fact that he talked about using your logical brain and deciphering between contradictory things. But beyond that, I also for me personally, I don't think it's a contradiction to in this sense. I live in the United States. If I want to protest the taxes, when I pay my taxes, I can write a letter that goes with it and just says like, I don't want my money to be used for war, or I don't want my money to go towards whatever funding or whatever part that I don't agree with. I'm raising, you know, my voice and saying, this is what I don't agree with. Please don't use my money for that. So I objected, therefore I can not receive the karma for that part. Or I know Geshla in the past, I've heard in other teachings, he says that you can like take that portion out of the taxes and send your letter and say like, I paid 73% of my taxes because I didn't want to have the, you know, I can't do math, 27% that goes to war. So you can either not pay and send your letter. And that's a way that you can say, I'm not in agreement with that. And I don't think that that's criticizing. For me personally, I think criticizing would be to call Nicole and be like, yeah, our government's so bad. Don't you think? Yeah, I don't like what they're doing. And then just kind of like complaining with Nicole about how in the United States, they send all this money off to war. So I think it's different if I'm going to, you know, raise my voice and say, I don't agree with this. I don't want to pay versus, oh, yeah, they're just stupid and don't understand seats. That's my opinion. If someone else wants to jump in. I would see it similarly with this, not paying that part, but I think it's illegal. And then finally you end up in jail or with fines paying even more. In all countries, the crime of not paying taxes is higher punished than the crime of killing someone or stealing something from private individuals. That depends on your country. You need to learn what are the laws in your country and respect them. Because in Mexico, you can say, I'm not paying for this and I am paying for that. And it's going to be consequences, but it's not going to be going to jail. They are going to call you and ask you why. But you can do it. But if in a different country that is not an option, you shouldn't do it. You should use the law. Yeah, I agree with the law. Yeah, and Geshli even said, he even said, if you send a letter or you decide not to pay your taxes, then you have to be willing to accept the consequences. If the consequences for you to go to jail and serve a sentence for whatever amount of time, because, you know, you didn't pay your taxes, then that's what you need to do. Because I think we go back to the, the, um, the laws of karma where a good act is only going to bring good consequences. Like if I don't pay my taxes, the result is not me going to jail. Like if I don't pay my taxes, I'm going to have nonviolent consequences in the future. If I go to jail, it's because in another way, I took away freedoms from somebody. So we have to really kind of go back to, you know, what are the laws and what do I stand for? And what am I willing to, you know, do to raise my voice in a positive way? Through love and compassion. And always get to contemplate with those two things in mind with whatever is bothering you in your heart. Thinking about love and compassion and then just sitting down and see what comes up for you. Well, it's now six o'clock, everyone. It was such a lovely time to share with you guys. I hope that we, I don't know if we answered any questions or if we're leaving with more questions, but just, you know, continuing to cook the ideas and go further, seeing where we can, you know, make, you know, heads or tails of all of this stuff that we're learning. But tomorrow is finally day 10. So it's going to be amazing. We have a wonderful yin yoga class tomorrow with Nicole. And then we're going to have meditation with Alexa. so I hope to see you guys in the morning if not come to the Geshe Michael teaching bring your sign chapter three and we'll just really have a fun day tomorrow so I hope to see all of you yay thanks Lydia thanks everyone and and bring some blankets or pillows or towels or any props if you're coming to yin yoga um just to support you in the poses because we'll be holding the poses for like three five minutes. They're not absolutely necessary, but if you have just even big towels folded up will work. Pets. What Alfonso? Pets. Pets. If your cat or dog doesn't mind, it's good karma for them. all right bye guys thank you to all the teachers everyone that's making this possible oh thank you
