Hi, welcome back.
We're trying not to be silly here, Lydia, but it's kind of spreading and everyone's giggling.
I'm sorry, because Venable Jigme and I took the state cafe
manager's exam yesterday, and she beat me 90 to 83.
So I just want to confess to the whole world.
And--
But she cheated.
She used seeds, right?
She cheated.
She cheated because she was helping me to pass it.
We didn't cheat, but she was planting seeds to help me to try to understand the whole thing.
It was really funny.
She knows all the bacteria better than me.
Okay.
Here's a great line from yesterday's class.
We didn't quite finish.
And it says, I'm on verse 34b.
Okay.
And it says,
Dukha Znyana Nantapala Iti.
Okay.
Say Dukha.
as nyana ananta pala iti and it's a quotation it is a quotation it is a quotation mark so
dukkha you know it means pain or suffering and then as nyana means not to understand right
and we have a long a that results from the two shorties and then we have ananta so it means
when you make a mistake in your ethical life, you should sit down and say,
ah, dukkha, nana, nanta, palayati. We can make a Bollywood song, which means, oh my God,
what did I just do? I just planted myself dukkha, pain in the future, as nana, which I cannot even
imagine ananta which will multiply if i don't do something okay dukas nyan ananta iti pala iti
pala means karmic result right so i have set myself up you know oh my god what am i done you know and
it's so funny to hear him talk like that patanjali he's like sit down and say ah
Then he says Pratipaksha Bhavanam, which means what?
Come on, it was a long time ago yesterday.
Meditate on that antidote.
Yeah, meditate on the antidote or apply the antidote, you know, which is the four forces, which you guys know, okay?
Chatur Bala, Chatur Bala, the four forces, okay?
And in fact, there's a sutra, there's a separate sutra called Chatur Bala, okay, sutra, which is the four forces, okay.
Bala, Bala, a little confusing because one means child, like Balasana is child post, but Bala also means force and power.
So, Chatur Bala.
Let's go through the four forces.
He mentions here Pratipaksha Bhavana, which means apply your four forces.
You know, try to mitigate, try to deal with the negative seeds you've planted in your mind.
I guess the first question is, can you cancel them or not?
Yes or no?
Cannot cancel them.
And, you know, when I teach that, and I'll just explain it to you guys.
When I teach that concept that you cannot really cancel a negative seed, I really struggle.
And I don't think I succeed very often.
It's like doing a triple roll or something.
I don't quite succeed to try to convince people that that's a good thing.
The fact that you can't just wish away a negative seed should be comforting to you because it means there's sense to the universe.
OK, and I've tried many times to convey that and I feel like it doesn't really come across.
So let's try. If the universe was chaos, then we're really in trouble.
you know then things are hopeless really things are hopeless i like to say uh so we have this
little cafe in rimrock for two and a half two years we're trying to open it and luckily yesterday
we got a senior manager who got a higher number on the exam and uh just kidding and uh a lot of
local people come there and the town I live in is a real cowboy town. This is where the some of the
there were 12 or 15 ranches there. Horse horse ranches and cattle ranches and that's really
cowboy land and there were fights with Indians there people shot each other and I live on
wiki of mesa i live on on a native american land and uh so anyway when people come into the cafe
they are very much cowboys and farmers and just try to imagine i like to try to imagine
sometimes i sit there and have a coffee and i listen to the cowboys and the farmers one day
two guys showed up on a horse with guns and spurs and when they walk with their boots they go
ching ching ching ching and my friend Yoram Cohen from the diamond business from Israel
Tel Aviv he was in the cafe with me and he goes he looks at these two guys and they clink clink
clink clink and they got guns and they tie up their horses and and he says Gisla are they making a
movie? I said, it's not a movie, Yorba. It's real. And so imagine two farmers sitting there
and they look at each other and say, hey, Jed, you know, did you plant your crops last year?
Yeah, I planted them. What did you plant? Oh, I planted corn. Yeah. And what did you get?
I got mangoes and they just grew and they rotted in the field.
I lost all that money.
God damn, you buy corn seed and they make it, they grow into mangoes.
Okay.
And it doesn't happen like that.
Right.
And you don't appreciate that the universe makes sense.
You should appreciate that you cannot plant corn and get mangoes.
It's not possible.
Okay.
So why are we talking about that?
It's not really possible.
to hurt somebody and not get a bad result it's not possible something will happen to you okay
the idea is can you make it less you know can you disturb the
the mechanism a little bit can you mess with the mechanism
and we're going to describe that which is the four powers okay power number one jb
yeah i like to say go back to the pen go go back to the pen you know uh go back
to your basic understanding of how things work because that's going to protect you
from your bad seeds go back to the basics which is the pen okay things are coming from me
you know i just planted a seed things things that just if you want to stop
a bad seed or if you want to slow it down or if you want to make it less
then start the first step there's four steps they're called the four powers
and the first one is just think about how the world's coming from you that's all and that's
refuge okay that's taking refuge that's the real meaning of refuge the world is coming from me
okay that's all you know look at a pen for two minutes okay is that me uh second step okay
you ready dukas nana nanta pala iti dukas nana nanta pala iti think to yourself oh my god
what have I just done to myself?
You know, who knows what as nyana means,
who knows, ananta, what long-term results
this power is gonna have, okay?
Ananta, possibly unending results, okay?
Then just think about how that thing is doubling
every 24 hours, okay?
The second power is just think about this line,
dukas nyanan nantapala iti, okay?
Oh, God, who knows what I just did to myself?
That could go on for years, you know, one mistake.
So it's kind of a, they call gyupeto, regret.
But we have to say it's an intelligent regret, an educated regret.
Ah, I just screwed myself.
It's not like this, I'm a bad person.
It's not that.
It's not that.
It's just this cold realization.
Oh, I just created a lot of trouble for myself.
you know then you get a sense of urgency you're like if this is doubling every day
then i gotta do something you know i gotta do something okay and then that brings you to the
third fourth now three and four you have to think negative and positive three is negative
and four is positive. Three and four stop the power of the bad seed or bring it down to almost
zero. So three, just remember, if you can't remember the four forces, three is negative
and four is positive. Okay. So what's number three?
I swear. Yeah. I promise to myself, I won't do this again for, and then look,
If you're addicted to some kind of negative behavior, which I think we all are, and if you think you're not, you're addicted worse than the rest of us.
Then, you know, just say, I said a line.
I'm drawing a line in the sand.
I won't repeat this for three days.
I always make a joke.
If it's that you were fighting with your husband or your wife and you want to set a line, then say for the next three days, I won't yell at my wife.
And then take a three day vacation without your phone.
OK, and tell her you're leaving town for two days and then you can keep it.
So, you know, set a reasonable timeline.
And then the idea is that if you set a short-term limit, you won't get tired from watching yourself, from monitoring yourself.
You will have the freshness of mind to watch yourself for three days.
If you say, I promised for 10 years not to have an argument with my wife, then, you know, who can watch their mouths for 10 years?
It's impossible.
So set a time limit, you know.
Okay, for the next three days.
It's a three-day weekend, right?
Then, you know, let's take a wife not yell break for three days.
And no matter what stupid thing she does, I won't yell or he does, okay?
And then set a line and keep it, okay?
And that's number three.
So number three is negative, and it involves a time limit.
And the hope is that by doing something over and over again, it becomes a habit.
You get into the habit of not responding.
By the way, this is the day that they clean the leaves outside with the blower.
And just imagine your mind is cooking.
So, okay, we said number three is negative and number four is positive.
What's number four?
Yeah, antidote, meaning do something positive.
Okay, do something positive.
I promise during this three-day weekend,
in America, it's a holiday weekend, it's three days.
It's a big deal if you're working a corporate job.
You know, I promise that I will praise my wife today somehow,
you know, and not falsely, not artificially.
I will look for something she's doing that's really beautiful.
and I will tell her how beautiful it is and you know she'll probably be shocked
you know what got into you you know what's the punchline and you're like no no nothing
I just wanted to thank you for being so beautiful you know and so say something do something sweet
okay I like to give the example that I was involved in an abortion before I knew about abortions
and so I like I that was my most famous four steps number one you know I I just I thought about how
the pen how the world is coming from me and I just killed a small being a small human being
so I first step think about how things are coming from you uh second step
sense of urgency yeah oh my god oh my god you know like uh this is gonna be bad you know crushed
in tweezers by some thousands of times you know this could get bad this could get nasty
you know second second one like a sense of urgency but not uh panic panic doesn't help
okay it's uh informed uh emergency action okay like okay there's a fire in the starboard engine
and that's just what we have to do and we can get out of this but we got to act fast and we got to
do something decisive okay then number three i promise i will never have another abortion you
know an easy way to do that is to become celibate that's the circular ring uh idea
And then number four, yeah, I promise to do something positive, which in my case, my teacher encouraged me to teach children.
And I had a kids group for 15 years.
And in fact, this week I was in touch with one of my kids.
She's 35 now.
And she's running the finances for the temple.
And we're working together on raising money for them.
So it's very cute.
to think that this is one of my products, you know,
and there could have been another one, but I killed it.
You see what I mean?
So it's, that's my famous, for me, that's four powers.
Okay.
All right.
That's Pratipaksha Bhavana.
Okay.
And that's your question nine from yesterday.
Then quickly.
Okay.
Because I know I have to get to the question answer on time.
oftentimes you are experiencing result of a karmic seed
and you don't remember planting it.
Okay.
And you just,
bad stuff is happening to you in your life
and you don't really know why, you know,
I don't know, someone's criticizing you
and you think, you know,
did I criticize anybody in the last couple months?
and and you and you come up with a blank you say you know i can't remember
criticizing anyone in the last couple months then you have to go to sherlock holmes mode
okay you have to become a detective okay you have to work backwards from the result okay so you say
I don't know these people suddenly started criticizing me and I don't recall uh you know
any big criticisms lately but I must have done something okay so this is called you know identifying
detective work on a scene that you don't remember planting and you probably have
many more of those than the ones you remember okay so there's countless seeds opening in your life
good and bad that you just can't remember what you did okay and so you have to use
logic and by the way that's one of the main purposes of buddhist logic and in fact i don't
like to use the word logic nowadays i'm often translating as clear thinking just think clearly
okay nothing happens without a cause nothing newton said that nothing happens without no reaction
happens without an action so people are criticizing me but i i don't remember criticizing people more
than usual lately and then you then you do detective work well i must have criticized someone
so then you do the four powers on a scene that you don't remember planting and you don't have to
remember planting it to do the four powers on it right i can still do a criticism for powers
even though i don't remember criticizing somebody else okay so that's an important tool
when you are pratipakshabhavana what's that when you are applying antidote right
then uh it's an important tool is the sherlock holmes thing okay you you're gonna be using that
more than uh things you remember planting because the things you don't remember are
billions and the things you do remember are two or three right okay all right next class yay
We finished eight.
Say,
Now they start talking about correlations, okay?
And if you're a well-educated, ancient wisdomer,
you can, and by the way, that's a mixed nuts technique
when you're a translator,
it's called what?
Anticipatory translation.
Anticipatory translation.
A very powerful tool for an ancient book translator
is to know so many ancient books
that you can guess what's coming next.
And then it's much, much easier to translate it smoothly
because you know what's coming next
or you have a good guess what's coming next.
if I was Nagarjuna right now, this is what I would cover next.
So what would he cover next in this presentation is correlations.
Okay. If, if, if Patanjali is working through these ideas in a logical way,
yama and niyama, right? Planting seeds, both negative, you know,
avoiding negative seeds and making commitments to do positive seeds.
and we're in the middle of the five niyama, right?
Shaucha, Santosha.
Tapas.
Tapas.
Huh?
Tapas.
Which one?
Tapas.
Tapas.
Svadhyaya, Ishvara, Parnidhana.
Right?
Okay?
These five.
He did five yamas and now he's doing five niyamas, okay?
Five positive things you can do.
Five commitments you can make.
And he goes into the correlations.
Okay.
If you do these five,
what can you expect?
What kind of result can you expect?
Okay.
And the key word here is say,
Tat Sanidau.
Tat Sanidau.
And I like this word.
John is probably much more familiar than I am,
but it's Upanishad.
Upanishad.
And I always had this kind of reverence for the word, and I don't know why.
I never studied Upanishads.
I mean, I have now from some Hindu masters, but I don't, I never knew much about Upanishads,
but I kept hearing the word Upanishad, and I was attracted to the word.
I was like, wow, what's that?
And I asked some Swamiji, I said, what does Upanishad really mean?
And he said, oh, that's a great question, you know.
And Shad means sat, means sit down, sat.
Shad, S changes to sha after I, okay?
So it was sat, which means to sit down.
And then Upani means sit down at the feet of the master.
Upa means approach the master.
Ni means sit down at the feet.
So these books are called sat down at the feet books.
And that's so beautiful.
And Tatsanidao in the Yoga Sutra is very similar.
So Tatsanidao means in this person, Tatsanidao.
This, this one.
Like Tattva means emptiness, thisness, dustness.
Sannidao means in front of you, in your presence.
okay? "Sa-sa
presence and that's a very loaded word that's a very important word okay if you avoid the first
if you keep the first yama which is a hintsa if you refuse to hurt other people
then what's going to happen tat sanida what's that mean
in your presence in front of you what's going to happen around you okay tat sanida and that's
a statement on emptiness tell me for three hundred dollars haha that's a statement on emptiness
in your presence keep a hint set in your presence violence will end tim
yeah good violent images won't come out of your mind that's the pen thing
but what when i say in your presence what's the mind
god yeah in other people's presence we don't know got it okay so he keeps repeating
in front of you there'll be no violence in front of you people will keep their
sexual purity or they'll they'll honor relationships in front of you people won't steal things
In front of you, people won't lie.
But he keeps saying in this section, he keeps repeating,
Tat Sanida, in front of you.
And that's a statement on emptiness.
Why?
Tat Sanida.
In front of you, violence will end.
But if the person sitting next to you has been violent,
that's the one the terrorists will pick out.
Okay, I was sitting on a plane.
with my teacher going to India, you know, Rinpoche, you know, and I always took the window seat
on these 24-hour flights, Air India, okay, it's a 24-hour flight, and the three older ladies
with the saris go into the toilets for 24 hours, and I don't know, tying it back up on a plane is
difficult. I don't know. But so I'm out in the window seat. He's sitting next to me.
And I'm feeling good about this flight. Why? There's no way this plane's going to crash.
You know, I got Rinpoche next to me. I'm feeling so comfortable.
And the plane's bouncing around. I'm saying, everybody, don't worry. We got Rinpoche here.
You know, we're going to make it, you know.
And then I open up the Times of India.
You know, I'm relaxing.
And it said there was a terrorist attack on a plane yesterday.
Somebody put a small bomb under a seat.
It went off.
And only that one guy fell out of the plane.
One guy fell out of the plane.
And then they landed safely.
And then I'm like,
Tatsanidao.
What's that mean?
Yeah, Kishimayaka can fall out of the plane sitting next to Rinpoche.
Tatsanidao.
In my presence, the plane opens a hole and I fall out.
So karma is very Tatsanidao, okay?
And that's a statement about emptiness, okay?
Like, John may experience the morning as completely peaceful and beautiful,
because he actually does his practice.
And then Geshe-la is having a stressful morning, sitting in the same room.
All right.
So here we go.
We start this.
I like to call them the Tatsanidas.
Ahinsa Pratishtayam.
Say Ahinsa Pratishtayam.
Tatsanida.
Vaira Tyaga.
Yeah, ahinsa pratishtayam.
Pratishtah means if you continually stay in a state of ahinsa,
if you refuse to harm others, even verbally or even in your opinions,
then tatsanidam.
In your presence, vaira tyaga means you will not see conflict in your presence.
Vira means conflict, and Tiaga means to, yeah, to throw away, okay?
Violence will be abandoned in your presence.
You will not see violence around you.
And then somebody in the next room might be getting their throat slit, okay?
But Tat Sanidao, in your presence, violence will come to an end.
Violence will come to an end.
And when I wrote this book, The Garden, I don't know, I was in a good mood.
And I put in a scene, I don't remember who it was with, but it was the question of war.
It was the question of warfare and the question of self-defense.
You know, this famous ethical question of self-defense, you see what I mean?
Is it logical to kill another person who is attacking you?
And by the way, there's two answers in my mind.
One is called the mother with the knife thing, which you guys know.
So one day, so Veronica's mom, in fact, Veronica left at 4.30 this morning to go take care of her mom, who had a fall.
And before she had her fall, she used to live at home.
And she would burn herself in the kitchen and she would drop things.
And then she would take her medicines too much.
She'd take three pills instead of one.
And she'd get a little wacky.
And we could tell something was wrong with her.
She'd be almost paranoid or something.
And it's just not her nature at all.
her nature is completely loving and then she'd be different and then we'd check her pill bottle
and there'd be four or five pills missing we'd say oh my gosh and then so try to imagine
you know your mom your elderly mom takes too many uh I don't know whatever pills and then she's
cooking in the kitchen she used to put plastic plates on the burners and stuff and that's when
we moved her to our care facility but uh imagine that she hears someone at the door and she forgets
that you're coming and and these mom forgets all the time that we're coming she she's like well
why are you guys here it was like we told you six times we're coming she's like i i forgot you know
so imagine you're at the door and you're trying to get the key in the door and she's here's somebody
at the door and she took too many of her medications and and she gets scared that someone's breaking in
and she grabs a big kitchen knife which you know if you've had this with your parents
it happens you see you find your mom wandering around the kitchen with a big knife
because she took too many pills and she's like oh and you're like it's okay mom that's me you know
And so if your mom went at you with a knife, then what would you do?
That's self-defense question.
What would you do?
And my opinion, if you had a gun, would you shoot her?
And then the answer is no.
But if she was threatening your life, would you shoot her?
And the answer is still no.
So what would you do?
Well, you'd do anything short of shooting her.
You know what I mean? Like, okay, grab her, let her stab you a few times, you know, get her on the floor and knock her down.
Maybe she breaks something and get the knife out of her hands.
But don't kill, don't shoot her. You wouldn't kill your own mother, right?
You would, you would do anything else to stop her. And possibly you'd let her kill you before you'd kill her, right?
Now, in a Tatsanidal sense, in a Tatsanidal sense, does it ever make sense to kill another country's people or to kill another person who's threatening you?
Does it ever make sense?
Is there ever grounds for self-defense that involves killing somebody?
Is it ever logical?
No, it's not.
It's just not logical.
okay they're threatening you and possibly mortally because you hurt someone in the past
you killed someone in the past so what's the stupidest thing you could do with your husband
in the kitchen yell back okay duh okay okay are you suggesting we just allow people to kill us
Yes, I am.
Okay.
It's a better solution.
Okay.
Can we do it?
No.
I can't even stand it when someone criticizes me for two minutes.
And then definitely I'm going to criticize them back.
I can't even stop myself from that.
But logically, according to Tatsani Dal, the idea of self-defense is wrong.
It's like some kind of primitive shamanistic idea from the Middle Ages.
It's just a weird, wrong idea.
It doesn't work.
It never worked.
It just created a cycle.
Self-defense doesn't work.
You don't defend yourself.
It looks like you defend yourself, but you don't.
Got it?
Tatsani, though.
Therefore, if you wanted to stop...
I was in a, you know, I was flirting with SDS.
SDS was Students for a Democratic Society.
And these are revolutionaries.
These are kids who would blow up.
They blew up Columbia University, some building when I was there.
And they were like, come on, you know, Mike, let's do it.
Let's make peace.
Let's stop the Vietnam War.
And I'm like, yeah.
And he said, let's blow up this administration building.
I'm like, wait a minute.
You know, and I remember a big meeting
of several thousand students.
And I was a freshman.
And they said, we're going to blow up
the administration building.
Somebody had done it at Columbia the day before.
And I'm like, can I say something?
And they gave me the microphone.
I said, it kind of doesn't make sense to me
to blow up the administration building to stop a war.
It's just something wrong with it.
And I'm not quite sure what it is,
but it doesn't feel right.
And then everybody booed me and I had to go.
But they didn't blow up the building after all.
We took it over and we stayed there for a few days.
But this idea that you should stop violence with violence,
there's something wrong with it.
You can sense it.
You can feel it.
There's something wrong with it.
All right, next one.
So if you want to stop violence in the world,
which we all do, you know.
It doesn't work to blow up the school building, okay?
Probably you should do the opposite somehow.
Okay.
And we did a nonviolent thing.
It was cool.
We linked arms in front of a napalm facility
and we shut it down.
And we all went to jail.
And it felt great.
I remember my religion professor was watching us
from the crowd and we're all like okay and they were hitting us with sticks and uh in fact there's
a nice photo in the new york times of gashima getting hit with a stick and um we're all standing
there and we said guys i said goddamn you're the religion professor he says yes get over here
and he's like yeah and he ran over and he got arrested with us and it was really cool
in his suit and all that stuff.
Anyway, that's sunny though.
Okay.
That's the way to stop conflict.
All right.
You're supposed to, on your homework,
break down tut sunny dough.
So tut is just T-A-T that.
And then sunny dough consists of Sam,
S-A-M, which means together.
And, or all together.
And then ni means down like Upanishad.
And then di comes from da, which means to set down something.
And it came into the English words deed, which means set down in writing, like a deed for a property.
And then doom, which means your future set down in writing.
And then thesis, the T-H-E in thesis comes from da or di.
and it means sat down in writing. Okay, cool. All right. So, Tatsani Dao means sat down in front
of you. Okay. And that's an important thing to learn for correlations. All right. Now,
I was doing a retreat up in Flexda many years ago, and I have a very, very close friend
who's Christian, Baptist Christian.
And when we were, we grew up together since third grade.
We're still friends.
We're still close friends.
And he ended up being a lawyer.
And we used to hang out forever.
And he used to take me to his church.
And I went to Bible study with him for fun when I was a kid.
And it wasn't my style, but I appreciated it.
And I learned a lot just as a kid.
And so I was doing a long retreat in a cabin in Flagstaff.
And he came up to visit me, you know.
And he sat with me for the whole day.
We meditated.
We prayed.
And then he said, we started talking about this topic, Todd Sunnydale, violence.
in your presence will stop, right? In your presence, violence will end, you know, and then
he looks at me and he says, I have a problem with that, and that's the benefit of having friends
from other traditions, you know, and I said, well, what's your problem? And he said, you know,
And you've been talking all day.
I understand your idea about personal reality.
I understand it.
If I'm nonviolent in my personal reality, there won't be violence.
But at the same moment, aren't you aware that there's violence in other people's personal reality?
And to ignore that, it would seem to me a lack of compassion.
For you to sit in your bubble, which is Tatsanida, for you to sit in your bubble and not have violence.
And then somebody who didn't know how to make their bubble in the next room is getting beaten up by somebody.
It seems to me, and you wouldn't be aware of them because that's violence.
And your bubble doesn't have violence.
Then he said, it seems like a moral question to me.
You create a bubble, Tatsanida, where there's no violence, Vairatyaga.
And then there's another guy in the next room with his own bubble, super violent bubble.
He's getting beaten up or burned or, you know, shocked.
And the irony is because you abandon violence, right, Ahinsa, you won't even be aware that he's suffering.
And that to me is unacceptable.
That to me is wrong.
And it was a great question, right?
It was a very interesting question.
And that gets into the question of,
if you practice Ahinsa and you purify your personal world,
then what happens to other personal worlds?
What's your relationship to other personal worlds?
can a person who has purified their personal world ever be aware of other people's personal
worlds which are violent because wouldn't that be something unpleasant in their bubble and that
would be a result of a bad seed then they didn't get rid of bad seeds you know but if they weren't
aware of other people's troubles then how could they have compassion okay like that so
I don't know.
Maybe you guys have a solution.
This is a famous debate.
I debated it with Pabonkara
in between number three.
But I would say that it's possible
to be aware of other people's suffering
and not be suffering
from that suffering yourself.
I would say that, personally.
So that's the bubble question.
But you guys got to think about it.
There's a consequence of the bubble idea,
that could be questioned.
How can you have compassion if your bubble's perfect?
And maybe a perfect bubble involves being aware
of other people's violent bubbles.
Okay?
And maybe that's a part of perfection.
Okay, I don't know.
All right, next question.
on your homework.
By the way, when you talk about Tatsanidao, bubbles, right?
Then you get into these questions
and you have to answer them.
You have to address them, okay?
And the next natural question
that a person should come up with about karma
is what about collective violence?
What about when your whole country is threatened by another country?
You know, didn't you say, Geshe-la, tat-san-i-dao, in your presence?
But isn't it true that groups of people undergo experiences together?
We're sitting in this room together, and we're experiencing the leaf blower together.
You know, it's an irritating interruption, Karma.
I don't know why I have that.
So, you know, Keshla, didn't you say
that it was a personal experience, right?
That only you collect karma for yourself
and you experience the results of that karma.
Well, then how can a whole country
be threatened by another country?
How's that possible?
How's it possible that 350 million people
are threatened by a nuclear weapon from another country.
You know, how's that possible?
What do you guys think?
You still have seized revivals in your life.
But why together?
Yeah, we all did something together, okay?
So is it possible for me to collect karma for you?
no what proves that hundred dollar question what proves that what proves the fact what
undeniably proves the fact that i cannot collect karma for you
there's a specific thing i'm looking for you're close you're a sunny doll
dentist you gotta say dentist okay yeah if it now sometimes logic is so obvious that you miss it
okay here we go if it were possible for some kind of special being in the universe
to change my karma,
then I wouldn't have to go to a dentist ever.
A dentist would never drill my teeth, ever.
And it sounds silly.
Oh, Geshe-la, can't you say something more profound?
No.
It's just simple proof.
If dentists who drill teeth exist in my world,
then it's not possible for a being to take away my karma.
It's not possible, okay?
Or else they are sadistic or something.
I mean, I don't want to even consider that,
that there's a supreme sadist in the world.
I don't even want to consider that.
Let's say that's not possible.
I don't think you could get to be omniscient and not be sweet.
Okay, so assuming that someone doesn't enjoy seeing me suffer,
If they could take away that suffering, or prevent it in the first place, then of course they would.
And that proves that you cannot, the fact of dentists, in my reality, proves that John cannot take away my pain.
Because John would like to, John would try, I know John, he would try.
Even if it was himself, I believe he would try to take the dentist's pain on him.
I believe that.
But he's not doing it.
So therefore, therefore, logic, it must not be possible.
It must not.
Therefore, you cannot make karma for me.
Therefore, we cannot be attacked as a group.
Right?
But we can be, and we are.
right? So what happened? Yeah, we did something together. Geshe-la, how can 350 million people
commit violence together? Oh, I don't know. You want to go out for a Big Mac?
Okay. A whole country that not just allows but encourages the slaughter of
81 billion chickens in a year, 81 billion chickens in a year, you know. So, so yeah, it is possible.
We do take actions as a society. We do collect karma as a group. And that karma comes back to us
as a group. But that doesn't mean I'm collecting karma for you. Got it? Good. It's still separate
treads but they're in the same fabric how's that okay all right next question
there's a teaching about uh what will happen uh about vaira tiaga okay vaira tiaga means uh
as again it means to uh yeah reject violence yeah or give up violence right
and for second right so uh
the next question is there's a beautiful teaching which you could develop JB into some kind of a
program I think like a day-long program or something but it's called four stages of
but of the result of rejecting violence there are four stages and and they're beautiful okay
And it's a beautiful teaching and we haven't done it.
We could work it into a life tool or something.
Number one, so four stages of the karma coming back to you
of refusing to do violence to another party, okay?
Even at the risk of your own pain, okay?
So number one is called surprising.
I translate it as surprising, okay?
And surprising means, so you've been trying to observe nonviolence in a minor way at home.
You don't yell at your wife.
You don't make faces at your wife.
You're nice to your dog.
You don't squish roaches.
You get them outside.
Take them for a ride to the Sedona Ranger Park Station.
i don't know if that's the kind of violence but anyway uh it's surprising and surprising means
you and jb knows you know you worked in a corporation in new york it's like a big building
there's hundreds of people there and walking through the door in the morning is a it's like
entering another universe you know and then for 10 hours 12 hours you're in another universe
Mark's office, I went to your office long ago, and he owned a nice office there, and you walk in, and you're in another world.
You're just in another world for eight hours, 10 hours, 12 hours, and what if, maybe it happened to you once, I don't know.
You walk in, and everyone, there's 100 people, and they all go, hi, you're looking good.
And you're like, what?
You know, 100 people, not one grumpy fist, you know,
like 100 people going, hi, good morning, Michael.
How are you?
You look good.
That suit's good, you know.
Like the people who sold diamonds to our company,
they always told me my suit was good.
One day I said to the guy, Ajit Barangkar,
I said, Ajit, let's be frank when he tells me,
if I lost this job as a diamond buyer and you saw me on the street in this suit,
would you tell me it was a great suit?
And he goes, no, actually, it's a very ugly suit.
But imagine a day when you walk in the office and everyone's like, hi.
Wow, that's surprising.
You know, usually there's a few grumpy faces.
Okay, so that's called surprising.
We're talking about nonviolence, right?
And the result of being nonviolent.
So first of all, you experience a day when you walk in the kitchen or you walk in your office and 100 people turn around and smile.
And you're like, wow, that's weird.
Everybody's on track today.
Everybody's experiencing the correct reality today.
And that's called surprising.
Okay, next one.
I'm sorry.
surprising was someone that you were having trouble with greets you warmly okay then the
next one is called uh obvious and that's where the whole office is is treating you warmly okay
so surprising that someone you don't get along with greeted you warmly and then obvious obviously
something's going on when everyone's treating you warmly third one is called amazing
and I like to think of amazing as you open up you check online CNN or something the news
and there's not a single report of conflict you know and and I don't think I've seen that in my
adult life so you know you you nobody shot anybody uh there's no wars going on no nobody's attacking
anybody else personally uh you know and you're the the world is getting weird okay you can call it
weird i like to call it uh amazing like you open up the news and it's all good and there's there's
not even any reports of conflict okay so and then finally i would say miraculous uh right of vaira
Tiago, of giving up violence, and your health starts to improve unaccountably.
You know, aches and pains in your body disappear.
Your COVID tummy's flat.
You know, just weird.
There's a word in English.
Weird shit starts on me.
You know, you go to the dentist and they say everything's great, you know,
and your blood pressure starts dropping.
Your hair grows back.
Okay, nodding your ears and, you know, and you're like, wow, something's really going on.
Okay, so those are four steps of reality that you can look forward to.
Okay, I'll say it again.
First one is surprising.
When somebody you didn't get along with starts to be nice to you.
Second one is obvious.
When everyone starts to be nice to you.
Third one is amazing.
When conflict, even in the news, stops,
and then fourthly, I'd say miraculous,
and conflict within your body,
your physical body starts to stop,
and your health changes.
And that's you're getting on the way
to dharma megasamadhi, okay?
What's dharma megasamadhi?
Fourth chapter.
Vibhuti Kaivariya Bada.
Yeah, like ultimate meditation.
It means a body, a rainbow body,
a body that cannot be hurt, okay?
Okay, Dharma Megasamari.
In the Yoga Sutra, the place you get
where you have clear light and rainbow body
is called Dharma Megasamari.
And in fact, that's the name of the highest Bodhisattva level also.
Okay.
The cloud of Dharma.
Okay.
All right.
But it's called a samadhi.
It's called a meditation in this tradition.
Okay.
All right.
Now he starts on different correlations.
Okay.
And anticipatory translation.
Patanjali goes where you would expect him to go.
And it helps if you're a translator.
to study many, many books and to be able to guess where he's going to go next.
And then he does go there and you're ready and you translate it correctly.
Okay.
So he starts to explain about astea, which is what?
Yeah.
Honesty, right?
Not stealing.
Okay.
The yama of not stealing.
Okay.
What's the correlation?
Tatsanidal.
which means what? In your bubble, what will happen in your bubble if you keep to the second yama?
Is it the second yama? Ahinsasdayasachya. Yeah. It comes second, not stealing, I think.
What happens in your presence? He says, I'm sorry, he treats satya before asteya. He treats it out of order, out of what we would think of the order, because he talks about lying before he talks about stealing.
okay that that's the thing about the yoga sutra okay anyway a stay a pratishtayam
pratishtayam means to stay in that habit right it means long-term standing pratishtaya
why ishtaya why not istaya why pratishtaya and not pratishtaya
After I or I, you have to change S to Sh.
Like Ishvara.
Okay.
All right.
Sarvaratno pastanam.
Sarvaratno pastanam.
People will offer you all the things you need.
You will be wealthy.
Okay.
If you don't take other people's things, then Tatsanidao.
In your reality, you'll be prosperous.
Okay.
If you honor other people's possessions, you will be wealthy, okay?
It says here people will just hand you stuff, okay?
All right.
Ratna, three jewels, right?
Three ratna jewels, meaning money, okay?
All right.
What about Satya Patishtayam?
What if you don't lie?
What if you keep it a habit not to lie?
Okay, kriya pala shrayatvam, kriya pala shrayatvam, stuff works out that you try to do.
When you do projects, when you do plans, they always work out.
Okay, if you satya, if you stick to telling the truth, okay, if you're careful to be truthful,
The karma is that your plans,
that the strategies you implement
for your AOL fundraising
always come out successful.
They always succeed.
Okay.
If you're truthful.
Okay.
All right.
Yeah.
So question seven on your homework
is where is money really made?
And I don't know about you.
The US government decides to give everybody $2,000.
I imagine the printing, money printing facility in Denver.
I don't know why I always think of Denver.
I think I saw it one time from the outside.
And they print money in there, you know.
So I kind of think of, for me personally,
I know nowadays it's probably bites and bids or something.
money's all just electronic bits. But when I grew up, I remember looking at a dollar bill and asking
my mom, "What's it mean, Denver?" And she said, "Well, it was printed in Denver." And so I always
think of this nice building in Denver, people making money. And then I grew up thinking
that's where money was made. But where is money really made?
in your mind, okay, in your mind, by intending to help others, okay, through the intention.
And a lot of times I teach, I'm teaching all day, most days, many, many, many days of the month I'm
teaching, and I get an idea in my head, and I try to convey it, and sometimes I can't,
Sometimes I just can't.
I can tell that it doesn't work.
But let's try.
You ready?
Imagine.
And I looked up the number on Google.
I don't remember what it was.
Imagine the entire net value of the planet.
What's the entire net value of the planet?
How much money exists on this planet?
know like I don't know about you but my mind goes to all the banks I know it goes to a bank on
fifth avenue that used to keep their vault open behind a big window on 42nd street just north of
42nd street and they I don't know why they kept this huge bank well and I just think of that gold
bars in the you could break the window you know it's weird I used to think about it because I was
working and uh so anyway imagine the value of all the real estate in the world and all the jet
airplanes in the world and all the real buildings and all the gold and all the uranium everything
valuable there is imagine all of it okay the total net value of this planet and there's a number i
I mean, Google tried, somebody tried to put a number on it, so many zillions of dollars.
Where did it come from?
Lakshana.
It's all a sign of someone's previous generosity.
It's a sign.
You know, it's like you go to Dime Mountain and they call it scat.
okay ten dollars for scat what's scat yeah animal poop the mark of ten dollars
that conamundis like to eat the there's some kind of inedible berries there
uh and there's bear scat there's bear poop you come across bear poop
uh and you can if you're in the mood you can pick it apart and see what they're eating
and it's mostly
it's not tourists so much
it's mostly berries
and
I'm saying
the scat, the pupu
is an indication
of what they ate, you don't have to meet a bear
to find out what they ate
you just look at the result
okay
so you look at the combined value
of the entire
world's economy
where did it come from
What do you see in the scat?
When you look at currencies or credit cards, where would they remain?
In your mind.
When you see that scat, when you see that poop result, if you're a well-trained yogi and
in Yogini, you should think somebody was generous.
Okay, somebody was generous.
When you see prosperity in any country, in any form,
don't think stock markets, don't think industry,
don't think big machines smoking and making things,
don't think like that, okay?
All money in the world is a result of kindness and helping other people and helping, giving something to someone else.
All the money, all the value of all objects in this planet is evidence of giving.
Got it?
It's cool.
Go out and enjoy the street.
God damn.
Look at this street.
Somebody gave something.
God damn, look at this stock market.
Somebody gave something.
That's so cool.
You know, so try to think like that.
I don't know if I've conveyed it completely,
but it's a great practice.
It's a wonderful practice.
Yeah, hot damn, you know.
I made Elon Musk.
Hot damn, you know.
I shot the car up into the garbage dump of the outer space.
you know damn okay all right be happy when you see any kind of wealth because you created it
okay giving it's it's evidence it's scat of of it's evidence of giving and be happy rejoice
you're surrounded by reasons to rejoice okay got it all right next he talks about how to succeed in
You're pretty much getting a DCI outline here.
Okay, seriously.
And it's very simple.
If you honor other people's relationships,
you will have beautiful relationships
with your sexual relationships.
And again, I translated this in 2000.
We were saying opposite sex a lot.
Your relationships with the opposite sex will be great.
And now that's not correct.
And I agree.
It's not correct.
We should say your personal relationships with other men or women or whatever will be.
No, I mean, really, it's a good thing in our life.
There's been a lot of changes in our lifetime.
Immense.
So anyway, if you want to see the whole world having sweet relationships,
sexual or intimate relationships or lifetime having breakfast together relationships,
then honor other people's relationships. And when I teach this, okay, you guys,
when I teach this, and you're supposed to be learning how to be yoga teachers.
When I teach this, I love to talk about, I call it the fallacy of adultery.
Okay.
The fallacy of adultery.
And it means this, you get married, you have a relationship, and then you meet somebody
you like better, you know, and you're more attracted to them.
And normally it's a sexual attraction.
You know, you have a wife, you have a husband, and it's an okay relationship.
But then you meet someone who's really attractive to you, you know, really hot.
And they like you.
And it's like, God, I wish I would have met you five years ago.
You know, and then you get this fallacy, you know.
you think that if you, or let's say they're married,
let's say they're already married, okay?
Then there's this fallacy that's been going on
for 50,000 years on this planet,
where you say in your mind,
if we could just sneak off to a motel once in a while
and have sex, you know, it's not,
their husband's not going to know.
My wife won't know.
We'll make sure the credit cards, you know,
some where we'll be used cash or, you know, it'll be quiet. And we will, we won't, nobody will know.
And, and I'll be happier. You know, I will be happier. I'll get something that I'm not getting,
you know? And, and so you break your commitment, right? You, you break your commitment.
And then it's because you want to be happier.
You want more sex, basically, but you want to be more happy.
It will make me happy.
And then it makes you unhappy.
You see, that's the irony of it, right?
Or you get a divorce.
You break up with someone, and you break up someone else's marriage,
And you run away with each other and you're going to be happy.
But you've done it by creating seeds for division.
Okay?
And it's, you know, if you were totally logical, which nobody is,
you'd say, well, that's funny.
Look at those guys.
What?
They're trying to create seeds for a new relationship.
How?
by splitting up another relationship.
Ha ha ha ha ha.
Yeah, that's funny.
You know, they are destroying a relationship
so that they can have a relationship
and they think they're planting seeds for a relationship.
That, oh wow, that's so funny, you know?
So anyway, very, I'm just, look up some statistics, okay?
People who commit adultery to have a,
to have more companionship, lose it.
And then they lose it again, and they lose it again,
and they lose it again, and they lose it again,
and they spend their whole life looking for somebody,
and they can't figure it out where they can't meet somebody
because they destroyed a relationship.
Got it?
So it's illogical to destroy a relationship,
to have companionship,
because then you'll never have companionship.
Got it?
okay it's just illogical but human beings are pretty old that's almost a definition of us right
okay all right anyway uh brahmacharya patishtayam if you honor other people's relationships
virya labha okay uh you will always have strength virya meaning strengthen your relationships and
things like that okay uh all right he's got other karmic correlations here we don't have time
we only have four more minutes uh yeah if you want to have nice sex with your wife then honor
the relationship and and it it will change if it's not good now okay and it will happen okay all right
I didn't have time in the course to cover all the correlations of the five yamas and the five
niyamas so you can do that by reading the sutra it's not kokir what's that mean
it's not like something you can't figure out you know honor other people's relationships
maybe your relationship will be better okay um there's two more karmas we have to talk
about and then we're done with this class.
Svadyaya ishda devata samprayoga.
Svadyaya ishda devata samprayoga.
What do you get from svadyaya?
Regular study of holy things.
Regular practice, regular study.
Keep going to class, keep learning, learning, learning, learning.
By the way, in the ancient tradition,
Someone whose hunger for more knowledge cannot be slaked is a true student.
That's the highest spiritual IQ.
People, okay, Santosha, there's a joke about Santosha.
What is Santosha?
There's a joke about contentment, you know.
Always be contented with what you own, but never be contented with your spiritual knowledge.
Okay, be hungry and stay hungry.
and never stop learning.
Never stop asking more questions.
Never stop learning more.
That's a sign of wang nun,
means high spiritual IQ.
Okay, got it?
But here it says, Svajaya,
what's going to happen to you
if you keep hungry for Dharma knowledge?
Ishtadevata, samprayoga.
You will have a perfect yoga in
with your Ishtadevata.
Ishtadevata means
in your life. Devata means the deity, the angel. Ishta means the one of your dreams. Ish means wish, right?
Ishta. And it's a beautiful word, say Ishta. Devata. You will meet the angel of your dreams. John Brady, right, Connie?
Yes.
You will meet the man or woman or okay, you will meet the person of your dreams, okay?
Ishtadevatā.
Why?
How?
Stay hungry for dharma.
Stay hungry for dharma.
You will meet, someone asked me recently, Geshe-la, you're going to come to Saitu?
Why?
We're going to do sadhana.
What's sadhana?
means to reach the deva, ishita devata. I said, well in that case I'm not coming. Why?
Because I'd have to leave my ishita devata to go to the ceremony and pray for my ishita
devata. I'm like, it doesn't make sense.
Anyway, if you continue this journey, continue your spiritual journey, the karmic correlation
is you will meet the, and it doesn't have to be a wife or husband.
I mean, it could be a teacher.
It could be a child.
It could be a ruby puppy.
You will meet the divine beings that you always wanted to, okay?
That's his next to the last karmic correlation.
Tim, the last one, just before the question is,
is samadhi sadhir say, samadhi sadhir?
Ishvara pranidana.
If you honor your master, your teacher, then samadhi siddhi, that's dharma mega samadhi.
You will reach the final goal if you honor your teacher, your personal teacher.
I'm not your personal teacher.
I'm your book teacher.
And there is such a thing.
They call Pecha Gyergan.
But I'm talking your root lama, right?
you know, when you meet your personal savior in this life, in this world, someone who's going to
save your life, then that's a karmic result. And when you honor them, and when you study with them,
when you do your best to, and by the way,
if you never break your samadhi, your samaya,
if you never break your commitment to your teacher,
you don't need a teacher.
Okay?
If you never lie to your teacher, disappoint your teacher,
you know, break what they say,
then you don't need a teacher.
You're already perfect.
Okay?
The purpose of having a teacher is you're not perfect.
so don't go crazy if you fail with your teacher don't go you know don't beat yourself up if you
never failed with your teacher you wouldn't need a teacher got it if you fail with your teacher
that's a good sign okay that means you should have a teacher okay so don't go crazy you know don't go
questioning yourself. Don't go crazy, you know, but as far as you can honor your teacher's wishes,
samadhi siddhi, you will reach dharma mega samadhi. You will reach your own perfection, okay?
All right, questions and answers. So please don't beat yourself up, you know. We all fail,
and we fail with our teachers, and we fail at the moment of, we fail at the highest moments
when we shouldn't fail, we still fail.
But it's the attempt that's going to make you perfect.
Okay.
Perfect by making mistakes.
Okay.
Next, Tim.
Thank you so much, Geshe-Love,
for that beautiful lessons that you're sharing with us.
Our first question, I think,
rides the very tail end of what you just said.
So I'll say it.
It might be a short answer.
um is it possible to have two masters at the same time for example a partner and a spiritual teacher
can they teach us in different ways yeah that's a good question uh
although answer is immediately yes of course yeah and and uh
there's kind of a beautiful place you can reach where uh
multiple masters, your child or your pet starts teaching you, and your spiritual teachers
teaching you, and your wife or husband is teaching you, your kids are teaching you,
your parents teaching you. If you're confused and you feel like you're doing something wrong
because one of them doesn't seem to be the one, don't think like that, okay? You're just having
multiple root llama syndrome and that's a good sign that's a blessing you know god bless you
you get on the bus and the bus driver is your root llama you know wow cool you know so yeah
that's no problem at all now just a warning if you're gonna do that that way you're gonna have
to deal with multiple root llama discrepancies okay multiple root llama discrepancies syndrome
syndrome which means one root llama tells you to do one thing and then five minutes later the other
root llama tells you to do the opposite and then you're going to have to deal with that and by the
way dealing with that is part of enlightenment. Dealing with contradictory instructions from two
holy beings that you consider your Lama is an important part of spiritual development.
And you will have to make hard choices. And the making of those choices plants a powerful seed
for enlightenment okay so don't don't go crazy if you get one advice from one teacher and i i was
going to tell you some stories about it but it would take too long uh but it happens to me
constantly and you just have to struggling with that when you're different honored teachers
seem to contradict each other and give you contradictory advice
is part of spiritual development and it will happen.
And then making those decisions, it's kind of a tongue-in question.
It's kind of a question about how do you interpret the word of an enlightened being
and struggling with that will sharpen you and you'll be a better person for it.
So don't freak out if you get opposite instructions from different people you respect.
But dealing with that and making those decisions is going to make you a better person.
Okay.
All right.
Next question.
Thank you very much.
It's funny because lots of questions come in the chat as you answer.
But we'll move on to the next kind of topic.
Is there a method to change a bad imbalance when you're having a lung experience into a good experience, maybe like a blessing or like a lesson?
Yeah, so we call it a lung imbalance or a prana imbalance.
And this, like typically in the modern world, I see it most when my dear friends overwork, like Tim Lohenhaus and Seiji Arao Takahashi, and people serve beyond their capacity.
So around Sedona Sangha, the main problems here are not fighting with each other.
It's everybody's overworking to serve people.
That's the biggest problem around here.
And then you get Lung.
And I had it yesterday, so I can say.
I was going through it yesterday.
and I didn't want I knew I was having it and I didn't want to have it but I was having it
and I you know I tried all the normal things like eat something heavy or you know do a headstand or
it just nothing was working and um try to nap that didn't work uh so if you have a
imbalance of your prana and you feel off and you feel grumpy or you feel like
irritated with people right that's how loom uh manifests with me and i in fact i apologize
for the meeting that's kind of loomy uh and then uh you know uh can you turn it into something good
I mean in theory it's possible
you know everything can be turned into something good
but personally
I would try to avoid it
you know I know
maybe it's possible that you're shaking
and you feel irritated and you can't sleep
and maybe somehow you can find a lesson in there
I guess you can
but I'd rather just not have it happen
And so I would take care of yourself. The most common prana imbalance of people on this call, this Zoom call, is that you are trying too hard to serve other people.
Your problem is you're trying to be too good and you're not sleeping and you're not eating well and you're not doing your yoga and you're not doing your meditation because you're serving other people.
And, you know, you just have to try to back off a little bit and take care of yourself.
You can't.
The game of this yoga is long term.
Okay.
It's not that you can.
I had a friend.
I think I can say his name, David Lai and Sharon Gannon, and they're great teachers of mine.
And every year they would do a calendar.
And Sharon would say to David, you know, can you get your foot behind your head and then, you know, fold your fingers through your ears and at the same time, you know.
And he'd say, OK, Sharon, let me try.
And he would break the pose down.
He told me.
He would say, OK, if I'm going to get my foot behind my neck and hold my ears between my
fingers through my brain, then I'm going to have to loosen up this muscle.
And then I'm going to have to loosen up this muscle.
And he actually identified all the muscles.
And then one by one, he would work on them for six weeks until finally, those calendars are amazing.
I mean, she's got, I don't know how she did it, but she got him to wear a loincloth that was kind of pretty short.
And then they'd grease his body.
And then he would stretch this muscle and then this muscle and then this muscle.
And then he finally, he'd be able to do it, you know.
And why am I talking about that?
That's not yoga.
Okay.
That's not where you want to go.
And to be honest, David's not doing that anymore because he's too old.
And yoga is a long-term thing.
Yoga is something you're going to do for the rest of your life.
So, and serving other people is something you're going to do for the rest of your life.
So don't burn out, you know, don't burn out.
We're not talking one year.
We're not talking 10 years.
We're talking 40, 50, 60 years of serving people.
You have to pace yourself.
You have to take care of yourself.
You can't let yourself get loony to serve others
because that damages your body.
And then that piles up.
That damage piles up over time.
And then you quit or you get sick.
Okay, so the most compassionate thing to do is to, if you start feeling tension, then take a goddamn break, you know.
Go to San Diego, go swimming, you know, and take a break.
Because otherwise you won't make it for the long term.
We're not here to put your foot behind your head.
We're here to serve people for 30, 40, 50 years.
And you've got to take care of your body.
And you can't let yourself get lung.
So I reject getting lung as an exercise in trying to use it for something.
I say don't get it in the first place.
Next question.
Thank you so much.
Okay, the last one, I'm going to combine some.
It says, if we take the idea of Ahinsa and we kind of apply it towards COVID, maybe on a personal level, because there's so many countries that are still experiencing these rising rates, how can an individual person use Ahinsa to heal people far away from them?
Yeah, that's a great question.
And I guess you've met these people.
I've met them a few times in my life.
And I think it's a kind of Reiki, actually.
I was in Canada.
I was in Abut, Vancouver.
I was giving a talk at UBC,
University of British Columbia.
And somebody came up to me after the talk and said,
I'm a Reiki guy, and I'm gonna cure everything about you.
And he said, just stand there.
E eu disse, eu agradeço, eu realmente agradeço.
Mas eu tenho só estado falando para três horas e eu tô com a hora e eu tenho que ir embora.
Você sabe, eu me lembro.
E ele disse, no problema.
And it said I can do it on the phone if you want.
And I'm like, okay, that's cool.
And the question is, can we help people's COVID from here?
It's the same principle, right?
Can I do something for, like I have friends in Guadalajara, right, Aldo?
Who are, I call them up, I say, which vaccination did you get, Moderna or Pfizer?
and they say, we don't got a vaccination yet.
We didn't get one.
In fact, I flew some people up here
because there's vaccinations sitting here
that no one's using.
And so I'm like,
is there any way that I can help somebody
in another country like that Reiki guy?
Can I just kind of send my vibes to another country
and help people in COVID?
And the answer is yes, because of Tatsanida.
Okay, if you're aware, if you're on the phone with people in Guadalajara, they're in your bubble.
Okay, if you're on the phone with somebody, if you read a news report about people in Mexico, then they're in your bubble.
Then your bubble just reached Mexico.
If you read a news report about East Africa, your Tatsanidhal just reached East Africa.
Got it?
Your bubble's as big as whatever you hear about.
So yeah, if it's in your bubble, that means it's coming from you.
So yes, you can help people in another country with COVID.
How?
Vairatyaga.
Ahinsa pratishtaya, Tatsanidhal, Vairatyaga.
be non-violent as you can and then you won't see problems in other countries also because that's
also part of your bubble that's your tatsanida got it so be as
be as non-violent as you can with the people you're you're in this room be as non-violent as you can
with the people in your own family.
And that will help with the COVID
in other countries that you are aware of
because they're in your bubble
because you're aware of them.
Got it?
Cool?
Be more nonviolent.
Yay.
Okay.
See you guys tomorrow.
All right.
Good?
All right.
Okay.
Thank you.
Bye.
Thank you.
